They are finally undergoing renovations and we are one of the last group staying there. It will reopen in about six months and I am sure it will be much better from then on.

Room too small. Needed 2 twin size beds. Shower was awful.

Would stay there again. Great hospitality, wine hour. Staff was friendly, courteous, and very helpful.

Hotel is next to major attractions and the metro. Its about 5euro per person from airport to hotel in 12minutes vs 50euro taxi ride. Its clean, small but best part is the free wine hour.

The hotel is historical hotel. The room is comfort and the staff is very nice. The first floor has a very beautiful bar. We can get hot water there.

This hotel was in a great location. Only 4 blocks from the main train station, a wonderful visitors center and Tivoli Gardens. The open top buses were one block away & we were able to purchase bus tickets with a credit card. We walked to the pedestrian mall and all the way to Nyhaven, which was not very far, possible 1 to 1 &1/2 miles. At Nyhaven we purchased a canal boat ride (1 &1/2 hrs. and ticket to Tivoli for only $25 USD). The buffet breakfast at the hotel was very good and totally organic. Be prepared, as it is very expensive. (approx. $44 USD per person) We would definitely stay in this hotel again. The hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful. The taxi ride back to the airport for 2 people was approximately $88 USD. It's easy and cheaper to take the train, but we left at 3:00 A. M. The hotel staff called the taxi for us and we paid at the hotel for the taxi ride and tip. The hotel only accepts Debit cards and cash, no credit card with out a pin number. We were pleased with the taxi driver and very nice, clean taxi.

This hotel was perfect in terms of location and charm. It's a medium-sized boutique hotel that offers a local flair and provides warm hospitality. A buffet breakfast can be had to get you started in the mornings while in the afternoons, a complimentary glass of wine greets you at the end of a day of touring. The best location makes this hotel a winner - very close to the center and the Stroget pedestrian walkway. The staff was helpful as well. Only drawback was the elevator is quite slow and just be prepared to wait if you really need to use it.

Their rooms are old, carpets are nasty, bathrooms are basically non-existent! The beds were clean, but the pillows were impossible to sleep on. The only value is the location, otherwise a total waste of money!

Hotel is excellently located, very close to the train station, Radhus,Tivoli, pedestrian streets. Everything else in central Copenhagen is in walking distance. All staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Tiny elevator means there's waiting at times. Small rooms, but adequate. Overall, good value.

VERY NICE ROOM AND GREAT LOCATION NEAR TIVOLI PARK/GARDENS

Excellent location, one block away from the National Museum and Tivoli, 10 minute walk from train station. Bathroom is small (so is the elevator: 2 persons with carry-ons will fill the whole space). The TV, 110V outlet, and two lamps didn't work in our room.

We were very pleased with a comfortable, clean, quiet room. The price was reasonable. The location was perfect for doing a lot of sightseeing in walking distance and we found good places to eat.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We suspect that there were a lot of people hoping to stay there as we were asked to downsize from 2 rooms to one, which we did and for which we received drink coupons and free breakfasts. Lovely, older place and we've stayed at a few.

Overall we had a pleasant experience. The room was about what you would expect for the price, but the location made this a pretty good value for us.

I stayed 6 nights in march 2013. The location is very good to explore the city, close to several landmarks, not too far from Copenhagen university (where I was working). I had read several reviews saying it was noisy, well, although I was woke up by police sirens a couple of times, I don't think it's fair to put the responsability on the hotel. I had a superior double room. According to european standard, the room was spacious enough, the bed confortable. I liked the 2 comforters (one for each person instead of a big one), very convenient, the Danish think of every detail. You have to get used to the bathroom configuration, without a separated shower, don't leave anything in there! :) I would have appreciated a vanity table to put my make up and other cosmetics product (since you can't leave anything in the bathroom, and I used the desk for work), but space is limited in european standard, so you just have to adjust. The breakfast is very good, and the happy hour very friendly... nice touch! Staff was courteous and helpful.

Great location by the central train station, in City centre, near to all attractions; helpful staff and free wi-fi in the breakfast room. The room was a nice size but with dirty carpets and poor and unpractical washroom due to the shower. If you're looking for a great location at a reasonable rate then thisis for you, personally we would not return there.

With pricey hotels in Copenhagen, Hotel Danmark is a great in between choice: more than a hostel, less than bigger chains. Hotel was very helpful when my plane was delayed a full day, and they let my travel companion, who was coming in from Stockholm, check in for us. Room for two was good, though the single beds weren't great, but comfortable enough that I didn't suffer much sleep loss. Bring ear plugs--noise from the street could be loud, though it was near New Year's Eve so it could have been unusual. Very happy wtih the hotel overall, but the location is the best, Can't beat the downtown location next to City Hall and Tivoli. We watched the NYE fireworks from our window. And, it's easy to get to multiple public transportation locations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay her again for a future trip.

Great value for the location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. Unfortunately, the room was TINY! The shower, bathroom sink, and toilet were mere inches away from each other, literally! I had to take a picture of it! Never seen anything anything like that. The internet in the room although free, was only available through an ethernet cable (not wireless) and was SO slow. Free WiFi was available in the lobby, but again dreadfully slow! Water in the shower never got very hot, which may seem a minor complaint, but not being used to the winters in Scandinavia, I am surprised what a difference a HOT shower really makes! Overall for the price, very satisfied, though. Clean and cozy with an EXCELLENT location near the heart of the action in beautiful Copenhagen!

The facade of building, presentation as you enter the hotel, location, and the breakfasts are excellent at this hotel. What lacks is the service and cleanliness that should come with it. They say they are an eco-friendly hotel, which probably accounts for why the bathroom is never cleaned. Also, if you try and order something from the bar downstairs be patient; the person working the front desk also mans the bar and will ignore you. But for what it is worth, I still enjoyed my time at this hotel and its location is really superb.

fabulous location--ice cubes and water in room-enjoyed the stay
