Copenhagen Star Hotel

After reading done reviews I was a bit concerned about my choice but I didn't get dissappoibted. The hotel is right behind the train station, the room was clean and comfortable, good and nice bed and accessories, bathroom clean - no toiletries kits - but it has a hair dryer and soap/shampoo dispenser. The breakfast was nice. Just be aware that there is construction of the new Metro station nearby but it's just waking distance to many means of transportation. Would stay there again.

Good experience. Quick and efficient checkin. Helpful local suggestions.

The hotel has a prefect location 1-1.5 blocks from central station!!!! Very comfortable. No air conditioner but we were there in the cold and we're able to open the windows. There is a 7 eleven on the corner that is also very convenient.

The hotel was fine and the staff was nice. It was close to the train station but it was a bit of a walk to see most of the city.

This place is brutal. Overall it can only be described as tired and dirty. Specifically, the bathroom floor had hair from the previous occupant, the towel was "clean", but clearly had a previous mildew problem, the plug at the desk didn't work, their was audible music into the night. The staff was rude and not accomodating - he kept blaming his managers, who incidentally were both out of town. When I asked where I could find a local gym I was told that they were not worth the price, which wasn't the question I asked nor an opinion I solicited. All this being said, if I was paying for a cheap low quality hotel I wouldn't have even bothered to write a review becuase I would have felt like the price was commensurate with the product. I am not a hotel snob, I am perfectly okay staying in lower end places, but at lower end prices. I was gauged by this place because there were almost no hotel rooms in the city due to a conference. This place should be avoided.

The hotel was fine. Small, but Central. Close to train station. Shower water spilled over into the rest of the bathroom. On a positive note -They served up some hamburgers in the hotel restaurant that were REALLY good.

Booked hotel to stay overnight between getting in late on a train, and leaving for the airport the next morning. Proximity to the train station is fabulous, and the hotel was nice. Compared with other nearby hotels, seemed less expensive, and the room was good and bed comfortable. Left too early to sample breakfast, but was able to take the train to the airport easily.

I just needed a nice clean reasonably priced comfortable place to stay for the night on a layover before flying out the next morning. This place was everything I wanted. It was literally a 3 minute walk from the train station, it was clean, it was ready, it wasn't expensive, it was comfortable, the staff was friendly, there was no hassle at all, and I found a myriad of restaurants and cafes within 10 minutes walking distance. Next time I'm in Copenhagen, I definitely won't rule out staying at the Copenhagen Star again.

Very convenient location next to Copenhagen train station and Tivoli. Room was a little small, but very clean and comfortable enough. Small bathroom and shower in room, which is much better than separate, shared shower I've had to use in Copenhagen in the past.

My flight got in earlier than check-in time, but the kind gentleman at reception allowed me to check in because my room was ready. There was a breakfast buffet included with my reservation. I enjoyed the food-- there was an excellent variety of food and breakfast items available. They also let us hold our luggage with no problems.

good stay, good breakfast, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, near train station, but immediate neighborhood is a little seedy with street walkers and drug addicts hanging around the train station.

Was liking for a hotel near Central Station. There are lots of choices. Choose a different one. This is absolutely not a hotel for business travelers or families. Small, old (not the good kind of old), worm down, no amenities (no bar soap, no iron), below average breakfast, and extremely noisy during the night. I do not recommend.

you really get the bare minimum--the bathroom is a claustrophobic's nightmare. however, you really can't beat the location. It's within walking distance of everything important: cool coffee shops, Hard Rock Cafe, Tivoli Gardens, and there's even a church that uses the Bremen theater which is hardly a five minute walk.

This hotel is located steps from the train station. Great front desk staff. Great breakfast buffet as well.

This hotel is right across from the main train station which was great for us arriving by train. All the main things are within walking distance and are rather easy to get to from this central hub. The hotel was an upgrade from any of the hostels in the area, but about the same quality with a small sometimes troublesome bathroom, little pillows on the bed, and the worst the broken windows which made getting the room warm hard. If you're not staying for too long this cheap place can be just ok.

While this hotel is pretty basic, the location (1 very short block from central train station) and value are excellent. The staff was efficient and friendly, the breakfast substantial - perfect for travelers who need to get fueled up for a day of work or tourism.

Maybe that's why it's cheap than most hotel in Copenhagen, where it can cost $4 for a bottle of coke. Anyway, if you value closeness to transportation, it's an ok place to stay at as right next to train station. As with most train stations, it's usually surrounded by red light district. There's nothing in the room, towels smell funny (sour), only one electrical plug (had to unplug TV), didn't look like a safe area to hangout at night. No safe, really old room (I kept my jeans on). Bottom line, it's more like a hostel with ur own bath than hotel.

Stayed one night between flights from CPH. Ideal location one block from main rail station, with frequent service to airport. Also very near Tivoli and town hall area. 7-11 store across street, and many food kiosks at station if you don't purchase breakfast at the hotel. Room was fine with no frills. A tea/coffee maker would have been a useful addition.

This was a very nice little hotel for the price. The breakfast every morning is definitely worth the price as it was the best I have had in Denmark. The rooms are small and not very well ventilated, but that is usual for most of Europe. It is just one block away from the train station, and trains go straight from there to the airport. It is also a short walk from Tivoli Gardens and the main sights downtown. Over all, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting there.
