Most reviews I had read of hotels in Copenhagen prepared me for the poor customer service. Our check-in was less than cordial. They tried to change the rate on us at check in and charge us more than the price we had secured online. When I mentioned it was not the rate I had confirmed, she promptly changed it back. We paid for a triple and were given a TINY room with a king bed and a rollaway bed. I called the front desk and asked if there was any possibility of moving rooms. While I was talking she hung up on me after say she would see what she could do. I assumed that meant she would do nothing and I was correct. So, understand the front desk staff here is absolute rubbish. Meanwhile, we had a problem with a lightbulb not working and I mentioned it to the housekeeping crew on my floor and it was immediately replaced. The support staff was stellar. The bed linens are not cotton but some polyester blend. Shocking in a hotel on any note these days. The bathroom was spacious by European standards and had a large window with views of Tivoli Gardens and the Central Train Station. (The room had the same views.) Both the room and bathroom were quite bright due to the windows. We chose to have the buffet breakfast paid for in advance with our room. The breakfast is a lovely large spread. It offers many varied choices and though we are light eaters we enjoy the variety offered.

Delightful place to stay in the heart of everything. Amazing staff!!

Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, but the extra bed for our kids was terrible. The mattress was such poor quality that you could feel every spring!

I initially got a horrible room facing the train station that was very noisy and ugly (facing graffiti ). Everything was scuffed up and looked dirty and tired. When I complained, the manager said I didn't have to stay and he could easily sell my room to someone else. The next room was much smaller, but quieter. The bathroom was small and very dirty when I arrived. I didn't appreciate the attitude from management. The location is good, but many other hotels that were less expensive in the area. The breakfast was mediocre. Only the elevator was pleasant as a working antique. Please, go elsewhere.

The hotel is very close to the Central Railway Station so it is easy to use the train to get from the airport to the hotel. The staff was very accommodating. Since I arrived early, the desk clerk checked my bags in and I was free to roam around the city. When I returned at 2 p.m. my room was ready. The hotel is old style and well kept. There is a charming glass elevator at the center with a stair well that winds around it. I did not use the library bar but it looked charming. The dining room was comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style with various sorts of food. There are a lot of Danes that stay at the hotel, if you follow their lead you can't go wrong. There is prepared hot food but apparently you can custom order eggs, etc. I did not do so. The room was compact but more than adequate. It was well-designed and the lay out was fine. The bathroom was similarly small but we Americans are used to outsized facilities. For two nights, it was more than adequate. I slept well and have no complaints. I would stay here again.

The hotel was clean and the service was courteous... It was a perfect location for all sight seeing and shopping....also, literally a few steps from the train station... Lot of eateries......overall, a great hotel on an ideal location

Stuff was very kind and helpful. Hotel needs a bit of update about decor and some of the rooms a very noise as they are just next to train station. But the location is perfect to go explore the city. The historical and shopping center is at walking distance.

Spent 5 nights. Desk staff was uniformly upbeat and helpful, including great travel & sightseeing tips, and restaurant recommendations.

This hotel is across the street from the train station and Tivoli Gardens. Our first choice was the Dangleterre but it was undergoing renovations. So the location was central. It had scaffolding up while we were there, obstructing the views. The weather was pleasant but because of the busy location, opening the windows was noisy. We had to take a taxi or private car almost anywhere we wanted to go. The first room we were assigned was tiny and had no hot water in the shower, so we were moved to another, nicer, brighter room on a higher floor. That made the whole visit much more enjoyable.

Renovation in front of my room, ask to change it, did not respond, air conditioner did not work, outside was 100 F, plus staf is not freandly at all. Will dispute money

Stayed overnite before our Baltic cruise. Unfortunately it rained in the afternoon and got much colder then, but it did not stop us to see the sights, using the hop on hop off bus. I value and appreciate the oppurtunity to see and experience how other nationality lives.
