Great hotel with hard working staff that are friendly and thorough. Arguably the cleanest hotel we have stayed in at ANY price point. The breakfast was out early and it was very good. Overall, a great experience.
Stayed here 2 weeks ago. Checkin was smooth. The front desk staff helped us with restaurant choices near by. But we ended up eating at the Mexican restaurant right next door - which was very good. The room was nice and clean. Noticed that the previous guests had left a 'baby swimwear' hanging on the bathroom door. Wish the housekeeping staff would have noticed it earlier. Mentioned this to the front desk staff while checkout. Pool was undergoing some repair but we were told that we could use the resources at the Y across the street but we didn't have time. Breakfast was decent. Overall a comfortable stay.
We stayed at this hotel last weekend while in town. At first glance from the outside it looks like a decent hotel but once inside you could tell that it is in need of a major remodel. We paid $129 a night and I would say this was more like a $75 a night hotel. The website says that there are mini fridges in the rooms, that is not the case, we did not have a fridge or microwave in our room nor did others that we were with. We had to keep all of our food cold in a small cooler so needless to say we ended up throwing some stuff out because we could not keep it cold. My guess is that some of the fridges have quit working and they never replaced them. The rooms really need new carpet and a facelift. The carpet is old green carpet that has bad patching spots. The sheets need replaced because they kept coming off the bed in the middle of the night. So either they are so old the elastic is worn out or they are not the right size. You really do not want to see what is under the sheets - trust me! We had multiple rooms and the mattress in one of the rooms had yellow stains on the end (room 107) it was disgusting. I would venture to guess these mattresses have not been switched out in MANY years. The plus things about the hotel is they offer free day passes to the YMCA next door since they do not have a fitness center - the YMCA was very nice. The staff at the hotel was very nice and did not mind groups of people joining together in the breakfast area late at night. If I was in the area again for an extended period of time and not traveling with a group, I would find another place to stay at $129 a night.
We stayed here for a girls weekend trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the temperature was able to be adjusted from the room. Breakfast was wonderful. There was fresh fruit and waffles. The waffles were the small round ones so you could adjust the portion instead of one big waffle! There was also cereal, yogurt and other healthy options. The hotel had plenty of free parking and there were restaurants and a Target close by. I would stay here again...
This place seems like it has been in need a renovation for about 10 years. The staff was excellent, but the amenities were poor and the hotel was very bland. The front doors were manual (terrible I even say this, but I'm so used to automated doors now), there was no guest laundry, the tvs seems to be first generation flat screens, the tiles in my bathroom need grouted, and the bathtub needed scrubbed, etc. Overall, I just expected more out of a Marriott property.
I have been having pretty good luck with Fairfield Inns lately, but this location can really use a facelift. Everything about it felt worn out - the exterior, room furniture, bedding, etc. all need an upgrade to match Marriott's brand standards. On a positive note, the staff does try to make a guest feel welcome with a snack bag and fresh popcorn each night. It is not enough to make me feel good about staying their again though.
Very basic hotel that served it's purpose for a couple nights while on business. Needs some updating but is clean. Everyone was friendly and all went well. Just needs to be modernized a little, rooms and lobby.
The hotel was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was spot on. The customer service was just great. Always polite and Misty at the front desk really went out of her way. I hope we get to stay here again on another team trip!
Our Family of 4 stayed for 2 nights during the busy Labor weekend to attend a wedding nearby. We were given a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the front parking lot. The room was well kept. Everything was clean and working. The bed was comfortible. The A/C performed well, and was reasonably quiet. It did not keep us up during the night. The WIFI signal was good (no complaints from my 3 daughters which is a good thing). The bathroom was cleaned. The shower pressure was good. The hot breakfast was excellent (boiled eggs, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, waffle, cereal, etc.). Lots of restaurants within walking distance (Mexican restaurant next door, and Olive Garden across the street within walking distance). The staff were very friendly. Had free access to the YMCA gym/pool across the street but we never utilized it. Took my family to the Mall of America and MN State Fair, both of which are a good 40 minute drive from the hotel. We really had no complaints and would stay there again.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The property appears clean and that's about it. The property is stuck in the 90's and I wonder if the place has been upgraded since then. The Air Conditioner is horrible! It's noisy and had to be set at 65 to get the place somewhat comfortable, it recycled all night and between the fan and internal noises it made for a night of tough sleeping. The refrigerator and microwave sits next to 1 bed and that had it's own symphony of noises through the night. The TV sits low on the dresser and honestly tough to see if your in bed. Marriott, hello this is 2016. Travelers today use cell phones, iPads and laptops, all which have requirements to be charged. AC adapters tough to find and your equipment is sitting on the floor. The window, photo included, it has either failed or it is dirty, plain and simple you can't see out of it. I stay in a lot of Marriotts, 4 properties in the last week and this place is living off the Marriott name! Corporate needs to take a long deep look at this property. Find another place to stay.
