Ok people listen up! No this isn't the Marriott! It's a good clean room at a great price. There was a microwave & fridge in the room. Coffee maker - desk area & couch. It's clean it's a good price & the bed was nice.
Stayed here 1 night, was supposed to stay 3 for the funeral of my sister in law. Got here to Cookeville. Checked into hotel, then went in to see the conditions. Took the bedspread & blanket off as I know they are not washed, looked for bedbugs, lucky enough didn't see any but found blood & pee spots on the mattress pad. So I left to go see my brother & it was his wife that just passed away, so I could tell & knew by his appearance that he had not ate or slept. So we all went to Golden Corral to eat then I decided to go to bargain store & bought some sheets, blanket & some cleaning solution & then asked my brother & his daughter, both needed some sleep, if they wanted to come to the hotel & stay with me since I was alone & they both needed to get away from their environment. So we got to the hotel, Recleaned the bathroom area & put sheets on the king size bed. So then I went to the office & asked them for sheets for the sofa bed. They told me that was $10.00 since I said only one person was going to be in the room. I said I explained to you I was here for a funeral & she says it doesn't matter, you said only one person was going to stay here & again I said my family needs some sleep. So I paid the $10. Guess that was for the extra people or was it for the sheets?? Then my Neices friend was driving down late at night from Michigan to Tennessee to be here too, so she got there about 4 am. Of course she slept. So when my brother woke we went to get coffee. The same snooty woman that charged me the $10 came out & said the breakfast was for registered guests only. Again, did I pay $10 for 2 extra people or did I pay for the sheets? I told her then I was checking out. When I did, again she was very rude, Indian people just want money, they don't care!! Needless to say, I checked out & went to red roof inn & made sure they were aware of the situation & I asked them if it was ok if some family stayed with me if they wanted to, they said of course!!! Goodbye rude lady, keep renting to the ones that don't care how you treat them or how nasty your rooms are! Oh, you said trip Advisor knows as you are a member, the guests are the ones that read this!!
At first I wanted to bail but it was late and a local school had an event and all hotels were full. Soooo..... Here I go. Nervous about the look but so tired. Oh my word.... So glad I tried it. If you're expecting fancy, you can pay for that. If you want reasonable price, clean room, wonderful water pressure, cold air, fridge and microwave and a wonderfully comfortable bed and lots of room..... Look past the 80's motif. Book here and try it. I was so surprised. I joked if they'd bill themselves as Hotel Nostalgia they could add $50 to the price. Saved money, slept great!
Asked for and received a smoking room. The room was in good repair, but the first thing that came to mind was the 1980s wants it's motel back. Comfortable bed, flatscreen TV with dangling wires, microwave and small refrigerator. Ok for a cheap stay.
Town was full so took this as last resort. Good choice. Room was clean, very comfortable. Appears to be newly renovated. Would stay here again. Some noise from room above us but expect that when on ground floor.
On our trip out west, we stopped her looking for a clean place for our family of four to stay. The price was very reasonable, the room was clean, air condition worked well, TV was perfect, and the room had plenty of room. Fridge and microwave worked well. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the breakfast room had just enough variety. The kids enjoyed the Belgian waffle maker! We would totally come back!
Not very pleasent, it is a Ok Hotel, but I will avoid it next time. It doesn't look like the pictures and there is a little not so good smell in the room. The chair next to the desk was noisy. Overal cleanning sensation is not good.
Great value. This hotel in the process of remodeling. I had a very friendly greeting and the lady on duty choose room 126. A beautiful king with sofa, work desk, large closet, beautiful tiled bathroom with heat lamps. I had been traveling all night and slept so good. WiFi was excellent and the HD tvs have many channels. The view on this hilltop hotel was beautiful. Add a painted accent wall and cover all the wires for cable hookup, this hotel could rent rooms for much more than the 49.95+tax I paid. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again when visiting the Cookeville area.
Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was fast and easy to sign on. Could use a new shower curtain, it was torn and hanging off the rod in places. Price was good for this type room. Breakfast was minimal, cereal or waffles, breakfast room was not kept very clean or well stocked.
The front desk clerk is rude. The room smelled like a mix of wet dog and dirty feet. The blankets were old and ratty (frayed and worn spots). The bathtub looked like it was covered in mold and filth. The ceiling in the bathroom was falling in. The shower curtain was covered in mold. The shower head was so dirty, we washed in the sink instead of showering. I have never been so disgusted and disappointed in a hotel. It is absolutely nothing like the pics on the site. I only gave one star because you have to click on at least one to write a review.
