Super 8 Conroe

I arrived 4 hours early, forgot how fast we ca drive now on interstate freeways. My room was not cleaned or ready for me, and desperately needing sleep, I took a smokers room. If you have never smoked or stopped smoking, a smoking room is like walking to a wet cigarette filter. Luckily I had a good filter on my CPAP and a can a febreeze that helped squash the scent a bit. The room was very clean, bed and pillows clean and comfortable, Shower was needing anti-slip items for the shower floor. The hotel staff was super, the breakfast was good considering the construction men staying there ate all the food except the waffles and made a mess of the coffee area, it was not bad. I do not blame the hotel for the rudeness of rude guests. The location was awesome, was in and out of business parking in less then 5 minutes in a crowded town square. Overall, good stay. Will stay there again.

The hotel was location was nice. The staff was nice. The price was about the nicest thing about this stay.

overall it was a good experience & i was very satisfied with everything.

When I need to stay in Conroe, this is my normal place to call it a day. The staff are great, the room is clean and comfortable. For the value and service I know of no better motel in the area for the money.

I normally stop at this Super 8 when I am in Conroe. No it is not the Ritz, but for the price it is a very nice stay. The management is always looking out for his guest and ready to assist if needed.

Location and amenities were more than adequate for this trip. Staff was professional and room from clean and comfortable.

This is my normal stay in Conroe and it was as good as always. Quiet, clean room priced below it peers in the area. Nothing fancy, with no unpleasant surprises!! A good place to call it a day.

Very clean and nice would stay there again close to freeway

The room and hotel itself was very comfortable. The staff is not friendly, but I'd stay there again.

The staff was rude and generally unpleasant. They locked the from door at 10, made you walk all the way around the building to enter in ther back door with a room key swipe, which didn't work half the time. Took me over 40 min of walking back and forth just to get in the darn building my last night. Not a happy camper. Displeased with the entire experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

This is my favorite motel in Conroe. The staff is very friendly, and the near by Italian restaurant, "Joe's Italian Restaurant" is a pleasure to look forward to when I get in the area.

Clean room, broken toilet seat, bed was hard as bricks, asked for coffee creamer 2 days in a row not to get any. Staff was not interested in what we needed. Excellent location just needs a little help.

Comfortable clean bed. Great air conditioner. TV lline up didn't match guide Only one soda vending machine and it did not have any diet drinks and the drinks they did have were in wrong place; press diet coke and get lemonade.

Stay here and you'll get a newly decorated room most hotels would call a suite. Mine was at least 300 square feet, spotlessly clean, with a coffee maker, sofa and writing desk. That's the good news. The bad news: That's all you get. There are no other amenities to speak of, but the hotel is located in downtown Conroe, so whatever you want is close by. I will stay again the next time I'm in Conroe.

Hotel was clean and in a good location. The staff was very helpful and cordial. I will definitely stay here next time in town.

Stayed here for two weeks. Breakfast is about average. You show up and the entire place is fenced with metal fencing....what? Crime, maybe. No problems while I was there, but some noises at night. No elevator to second floor or roller carts for your luggage.

The soft drink machine on 2nd floor is out of order. The safety lock bar on inside of room door needed repair. The breakfast bar had one rotten banana, some doughnuts, coffee was lame and I did not have time to make a waffle. Room has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, clean and pleasant. ROOM WAS SUPPOSE TO BE NONSMOKING, HAD AN ASHTRAY IN THE ROOM, I COULD SMELL FAINT SMOKE FROM PREVIOUS TRAVELER, BUT IT DID HAVE A "PLEASE NO SMOKING" PLACARD ON THE TABLE?

Overall, the hotel was good, however, they advertise WiFi in all rooms and this was definately NOT the case. THe wireless not only didn't work, but the hotel computer had so many viruses and trojans on it, we were afraid to connect to the network with a cable. The manager didn't seem to really care and we were told to go to McDonalds if we wanted internet. The desk clerk was never relieved and had to take a double shift, including doing the laundry. Overall, this is an extremely poor way to run a motel.

Room was great with good ammenities, but annoying smoke detector in the main hallway downstairs went off every minute for three days with no thought of changing the battery by staff who clearly heard it. Breakfast was basically all carbs with no healthy options. Milk was in fridge with no sign it was available. Had to move stuff off the counter to use the microwave. Worst of all they had kleenex boxes on the breakfast tables instead of napkins-tacky! When checking in the phone did not work in my room and once that had been switched out could not make a long distance call inspite of directions printed on the phone saying I could. When approaching the manager about the smoke alarm he got defensive and suggested it was MY job to inform them it was bugging me and tried to pretend he did not hear it! I was not asking for special services.Hotels are supposed to be about hospitality and not being reactive to customers, but being proactive, making the art of hospitality effortless and unseen. A guest should not have to notify anyone of anything that is expected like general upkeep of the building. The manager himself was not there for most of those days, but he had been there hours by the time I went to speak with him. He could have ordered someone to take care of it, but he didn't care. It gave the overall impression that there was no pride in what he does, and it brings into question what else does not get done well. Too bad.

It was a Super 8 so I went in with very low expectations. I was extremely surprised to find a very clean, quite, and large room. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice with all of its granite accents. Ample hot water pressure for the shower. The frig froze our drinks, but that was okay; at least we knew they were cold. The complementary breakfast was good too. They had muffins, donuts, waffles, cereal, and fruit. Everything was fresh. We only stayed one night in order to go to the Texas Renaissance Festival the following day. When I return to the festival next year, I would be very willing to stay at this Super 8 again.
