Odd that there are rooms for disabled on floors above the first given that the elevators cannot be used in an emergency. What happens to wheelchair bound persons? Are they abandoned to their fate? Seems that question is one best tackled in law but one would think that a company in the service industry would see the wisdom in stationing their 'disabled' rooms on the main floor.

We arrived as tourists in the US, and this was our first hotel to stay in. We stayed for 10 nights, and a week in we started getting bed bug bites. (This takes up to 9 days to impact the body). They were severe and covered myself and the person I was sharing a room with. Sandra the manager also debited our company card 3 times when we checked out, never returned calls AND refused to accept that they had beg bugs in their rooms. There is no way we could have got them any location. We are still awaiting her return call and she is always conveniently "out of office". Due to this bad experience, we will never visit another La Quinta as they have given us a bad taste entirely.

Would not honor online price upon check in charged $129.00 pr night ...But traveling late so we stayed ..picked up several nails in our tires ..from construction going on on 2nd floor,, Entire rear of property (parking) covered in nails, screws ect. Indoor hot tub broken...apparently doing their best to accommodate guests while under construction,,but they should tell patrons this upon booking ..

We arrived very late after 13 hours on the road. I was welcomed by a very pleasant and friendly employee. Unfortunately we were placed on the third floor. Traveling with dogs, I would have appreciated a lower floor. This hotel appears to be undergoing a renovation and it does need it. There is not a good area to walk the dog. I guess the Shreveport LQ spoiled me. I do appreciate that pets are allowed without an additional charge. The room smelled very strongly of bleach which was a bit bothersome.

Overall our stay was very positive and I would definitely stay again. Clean rooms and friendly staff, nice eating area with a good breakfast selection, great pool and attractive lobby. My only issue which can be repaired and hopefully will be in the near future, was where the parking lot entrance/exit met the road. There is a big dip there and we had to drive at an angle and very slow with our car to avoid scraping the underside. The car is a Dodge Dart which is not that low compared to a sports car model or if you were towing a trailer of any kind of which any driver of one of these I would feel very sorry for coming in and out of this parking lot. It appears the road was resurfaced and now sits higher than the driveway so all that needs to be done is to fill in the dip with asphalt or concrete to level it out for their customers.

Room was nice and clean with that new scent. Friendly service! Will stay here again. No problem recommending this hotel. It's close to I-10 but quiet. Restaurants and Wal-Mart close by, too. So much history in this area to search out while we are here.

We have never been to Columbus, Texas before and needed a place to stay for the night. The reviews were pretty good, so we decided to give the La Quinta a whirl. The hotel is clean, the room was pretty clean, but the walls are "paper thin" I could practically here the conversation in the next room, and above us must have been a very rambunctious kid who ran across the floor constantly. My advice would be to turn your television up, or find a quieter location. There were a lot of options for breakfast, and that was a pleasant surprise. Overall, this is a clean hotel with nice staff, but if you want quiet look elsewhere.

Clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast. Close to Interstate 10 so there was some road noise. Decent free breakfast. Close to Round Top so it was an affordable place to stay during their Antique Fair.

Just stayed 2 nights at this hotel and I wld not advise staying in this hotel if you want to sleep. They have a lot of highway workers and other workers that stay at this hotel. Unfortunantly they do not know how to close a door quietly. They just let the door slam. Beginning at 5 in the morning the slamming started. When we arrived to check in no one was at the front desk. I yelled several times before a lady appeared and told us she was eating her lunch. we will stay at the Baymont next door like we have done before. It is nice and quiet. We only stayed at the Laquinta because the Baymont was full.

I've stayed here before, but this time the accommodations are unacceptable and do not meet expectations. Upon arrival, the bathroom has huge gouges in the wall where the toilet paper holder once was located. I showed photos to manager so that I would not be held responsible. Maintenance was to address it the next day; no response. Also, I am here for 10 days and have paid for a king suite. The TV in the bedroom doesn't work, and this was reported the first night. I was told it would be addressed the following day. It was not. The SECOND night the tv still did not work. I called the front desk and was told "nobody can fix it now". That is not acceptable, and I would change hotels, but have no other options as it is a busy time for hotels in this area.
