There are lots of negative comments, but they may be biased. We checked it out before booking two rooms. Checked for bed bugs, looked under the bed, looked for mold. Found some, but it wasn't active. Carpet could be cleaned, but it's not stained and the room is much better than Motel 6. Not a bad neighborhood, but not a great one. Close to the Interstate and our meeting. GPS helps you find the right turn. Lots of fast food places, but never did find a good restaurant. Great price. Save $10-20 booking on-line. Walk-in $60, on-line $40. If you're traveling across Country and need a place to stay, this is a decent choice.

The receptionist was very hostile and I can not imagine what he would have told me if I did not have a reservation. The bath tub was dirty and I had to stand on a grocery plastic bag in my suitcase before taken my shower to avoid stepping on the tub barefooted. An average hotel is a third world country is far better than this hotel. In addition to a filthy bathroom, the room smell horrible.

Checked in and made it to my room. awful smell right away.bathroom looked awful. sat on the bed and it smelled really bad as well.saw bugs crawling on the floor.it was gross. I left right away and booked the best western across town. worst experience ever.

I loved the place. I had to work downtown without paying the downtown hotel price. This location allowed easy commute (15-20 min) by bus, full of well-behaved, non-violent people at the daily cost of $5.00 Can't beat it. The breakfast was delicious. The staff helpful. The room comfy. A gazzilion places to eat nearby, w/in walking distance. Will definitely stay there again.

Upon entering the room it immediately had the smell of sweat, smoke and just plain stale smelling. We took a shower the next morning and the bathroom flooded and all the water ended up out of the bathroom in the carpet of the room. I am sure this would account for some of the "smell" in the room.Would not recommend staying here.

The room smelled of stale smoke, and was quite dirty, but luckily I paid attention to other reviews and brought along some disinfectant wipes to use on the countertops, door knobs, tv remote, faucets, etc, not to mention the telephone on the nightstand - yuk! But the shower was nice and hot, the towels and washcloths were white and fluffy! Sheets were clean and fresh, bed was fairly comfy and we did not find any bed-bugs or other critters! We did ask for extra blankets to use instead of the bedspreads, and he brought us two within 5 minutes. The room was still in bad shape - walls were full of holes where apparently hooks and towel bars used to be (no hooks to hang up clothing in bathroom). Also no coffee pot in the room, and just donuts and cereal for breakfast. Glad we were only there for one night! I would say "come prepared". Probably would not stay there again, especially with children.

It was very dirty and ran down.. It also was supposed a no smoking room and it reeked of cigarettes

This hotel is the absolute worse, most disgusting hotel I have ever been in in my entire life. The bathroom floor was caving in and there were holes to who knows where. There were tiles on the bathroom floor but no grout and the toilet wasn't even connected to the floor. There was a satanic symbol carved in the wall above the headboard. Very little lighting. Floors were very unlevel and bounced. Absolutely horrible and very disgusting. Oh and in a very very bad part of town.

Very inexpensive room so expectations were low, but the experience was good! Clean room, comfortable bed, quiet environment, friendly staff, and the tv, internet, shower, all worked fine, which is all I wanted. Some quirks, though, with the cheap room - fridge froze my water, floor covering in the bathroom's coming up in the corners, juice machine in lobby didn't work.

Paint peeling off doors. Empty, dilapidated pool. Room keys did not work. Never did see the inside of a room. I was embarrassed to have made the reservations for myself and 2 other travelers. I would not have felt safe staying in those surroundings.
