I didn't know the area but there were lots of people walking around talking throughout the night till early morning. One in particular with some very heavy and loud shoes stomping by back and forth up and down the steps. I was extremely tired the next day with lack of sleep.

Best hotel value in German Village. I always stay at this friendly inn. Close to German Village, downtown and Schiller Park! Nice rooms, micro wave and fridge. Newly remodeled bathroom and vanity. Lovely.

I stayed four nights on business travel, and am returning next week. Good place to crash after a work day, nothing fancy but comfortable and price competitive. Clean, with refrigerator and microwave, very convenient for downtown travel. Good neighborhood with a good range of restaurants.

Myself & my fiancee were treated with total disrespect by the front desk personnel.

Stained bedspreads. TV kept going in and out. Loud people out in the parking lot all night and woke me up every hour. Not a great location. I wanted a reasonably price place to get a decent night's sleep.

Excellent hotel and price. Great location for all things German Village. The park, the shopping and the food near by the room was great. linens were like silk Bed comfortable Cable and HBO microwave and refrigerator lovely family that runs the hotel

If you're looking for a simple, bare bones motel to crash at in Columbus this is for you. Not, I repeat, not fancy but it's in a super cool neighborhood and gets the job done as far as a bed to sleep in and a shower to use. I stayed here for Rock on the Range 2014 and I'll be back next year!

the hotel was cheap in price and located only a mile and a half from downtown. it was good for what we needed it for, to get ready before we went out for the night and to pass out in when we got back. very clean and not cluttered. free parking and continental breakfast.

I like budget hotels. Lately, it's been very hard to find low price motels/hotels with rooms that don't smell, don't have mold problems, and have carpets that don't turn your feet black. Seriously, dirty rooms and poor maintenance are too often typical these days. German Village Inn is the exception! It was a GREAT place - clean, clean, clean. Great staff, friendly, and helpful. What a value. If you don't need high end, high rise, expensive fluffy pillows, then this is the choice. I will stay here from now on when in Columbus.

Friendly staff, clean room with frig and microwave. close to cup of joe, Max and Erma and my relative. I always enjoy german village and its charm

Well outside does Not look like a quality hotel however inside the room was nice and the location was great cant get any better for the price.

For the price the hotel was great. I did have some issues with running out of hot water and then one night when i came in i had to park across the street on the street because the parking lot was full, but i would stay there again and i would recommend someone to stay there.

We went to a Women of Faith conference at the Nationwide Arena which was only about 1 mile away which was good. The hotel had clean beds, fresh washed sheets and blankets. Plastic encased the mattresses. Satisfied there were no bedbugs. Wall next to bed was dirty. A swipe with a cleaner would have made a difference upon intial entrance to room. There were some seedy looking people in the parking lot upon arriving. Not sure what their business was there! We stayed for two nights. Our car was parked outside our room. No one bothered anything. The staff gave us what we needed. Extra coffee, tea bags and extra towels. Used the coffee maker in the morning and gone for the entire day. For a nights sleep it was OK and cheap. 73.00 a night. You get what you pay for. Everything else was booked. I would "rough it" again there(as I said, the beds were clean and bug-free and that was all we cared about)! Other women from the conference were there too. The location was perfect. We enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at Schmidt's in German Village too! Go there!! Great food and entertainment!

The customer service was something less than be desired. I have read the reviews about the service and hoping it was not true but when we arrived and even when we had issues, the woman could barely speak english, and everytime i asked her a question she looked at me like i was dumb. Customer service sucks!!! room was also less than desired. Just because this hotel says "german Village Inn" dont mean it is in German Village. First thing we did was check for bed bugs and could not find any but wouldnt be surprised if there was somewhere. We will never stay at this hotel again!!

Only reasonably clean room. Other reviews said this hotel felt "safe," however as a single female travel I have to disagree. This motel's doors face an enclosed courtyard parking lot (shady) and the doors do not have chain locks. There is a bar across the street. All night long on the Friday night that I was there I was awoken by people fighting or yelling in the parking lot. The internet did work better than at the Westin, where I stayed for the first night of my trip.

Excellent hotel with free WI Fi! Good value, great locations!

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend while attending a convention down the road. It was nice and clean. Not a whole lot of parking but we made do. Over all no problems really. It was very nice for the price. I would however suggest bringing an extra pillow the one that came with the room was a little small.

For a short vacation, the German Village Inn of Columbus was an excellent choice. When we arrived, a light was not working, and someone showed up in a couple of minutes and repaired it. The room was basic but had everything we needed. The location was within easy walking distance to good restaurants. We were literally minutes by car to the convention center and arena. Our second time, the best!

We stayed two nights for the OSU vs PSU game. The neighborhood (German Village) is nice and safe. There are good restaurants and bars in walking distance. The location is 15-20 min walking distance to Columbus downtown and 30-35 min to Arena District (heart of the nightlife in Columbus). Better to take a cab to uptown and the OSU campus. The motel has enough and safe parking space. The bad thing was the lack of housekeeping. When we came back to our room at night the room was still in the same shape that we left (untidy beds, no towel change, etc.). Don't expect too much but this place has a good value for its price!

Located close to downtown, with some great local dining across the street. Room was clean, but not spectacular. Having the fridge and microwave in the room was a great bonus. Plenty of strong hot water made up for the bathroom door not closing tightly.
