The room smelled like it had just been painted with enamel paint. Carpet was dirty and the bathroom looked horrible.

The room was DIRTY and the fixtures didn't work. I went to Columbia, SC to participate in a charity event. This Microtel is NOT a good place to stay. The room's carpet was wrinkled, dirty and torn with no transition at the bathroom, creating a tripping hazard. The plumbing in the bathroom was either leaky, crooked and/or the cheapest base items possible. Lower than builder grade. The tiny fiberglass tub was slippery. No shampoo or lotion (who travels with liquids any more?) The bed was uncomfortable and the coverlet was FILTHY. The walls were dirty, as well and the wallpaper was peeling at every seam. It's a RAMADAN property, so every possible corner was skinned.

The front office was great and very nice and kind. But the real shocker was when I got to the room and say how nasty and unclean it was. I was so disappointed I have been to Microtels before but this was the worst. I truly feel like the room needs to be thoroughly cleaned. I have pictures has to the condition of my room.

Small room, outdated 20" tube tv in room, bathrooms are worn and outdated. Front desk check in, nice and well done. Breakfast is simple, coffee was not hot.

Friendly staff nice hotel. Would definitely stay here again

This hotel was a decent price, but the rooms were all dirty. At least 3 people found hairs on the toilet seat or towels upon check-in. The walls in my room were covered in coffee stains. The wall paper was even coming off of the walls near the windows and the windows themselves looked like they were poorly kept (the insulation was pulling away). We came back to the hotel at 11 pm and couldn't get in and after banging on the doors for 10 minutes, I finally had to call the front desk from my cell phone just to get someone to let us in. They were nice enough, but not helpful at all. I've stayed at other Microtels with great experiences, but this one was by far the worst one. Wouldn't stay there again if you dared me.

The pictures of the hotel are totally different from the actual hotel. The window was already opened when i got there. It was creepy. The room was extremely small and it was not clean. I could hear conversations through the wall. Televisions are out dated. I do not recommend going there. I left immediately and checked into another hotel.

Hotel room floor was dirty. Ok hotel for the star rating , but don't expect more.

price is good, location is good for a short overnight trip right off the highway

I had a nice, quiet time to relax there. I enjoyed the stay.

The Microtel is conveniently located on the western side of Columbia. The staff was helpful but a little under motivated. They didn't pay attention when the coffee was low or gone, nor jump to fix the problem. Breakfast, as it was minimal, didn't get set up until 7. The room was OK. It was clean. It was small. Overall it was worth the 70 I paid. But it didn't exceed expectations.

This hotel is hard to access in and out. Building, rooms, and common areas all need to be tenovated ( as well as the breakfast). Rooms were clean so it is not a total bust, just not to the typical standards for a Microtel.

the hotel was easy to find off the Interstate. The outside appearence ws okay. The reception room ws "nice in appearence and welcoming.. Reception clerk young, knew her job and registered me , gave te key and directions as to which way to turn when I got off the elevator as well as a place to get supper. the room was small, neat but had a worn out look about it. It had the same lay out as ones I had stayed at on the way to and from Flordia. both were located on I 75. I almost decided to check out but decided to stay. It was quiet and I slept well. In the morning I went down to breakfast to find a very dissappointing array of food. the ceral look as if some one had fun playing in the remainds. there was a few piced of scrambled egg. nO cups were at the coffee pot which was in the reception area. I made a waffle and tht was good. Not much milk but enough to put in the coffee. Very disappointing. Not like the othere I have stayed in.

My spouse and I were taking a class nearby. The room was small, but very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. However, I didn't like traveling so far to work out at the gym or go for a swim. Overall, Microtel's customer service, cleanliness, and location were excellent.

The air conditioner didn't work well and it was hard to flush the toilet because the handle was behind the poorly crafted counter top. We were traveling on a budget and it was ok for the night. The older gentleman who checked us in was wonderful, I checked in an hour before his shift ended but he gave me as much attention and info as if his shift just started. He even commented on the snacks that I had.....honestly his friendly spirit made the difference.

the room wasn't as bad but the pics made it look so much better.

The moment we walked in the door there was attitude from the overly paid girl at the counter. The first room we had was DISGUSTING and the recliner was stained and broken, it was shoved against the wall to hide the fact until my 5 year daughter sat in it. There were so many things broken that I had to make a list to take to the front desk when I requested a new room. The man who showed us the new room was the ONLY good and decent part of the whole hotel. I spoke to other people staying there and the only ones who had no complaint were under the age of 25 and wore drug promoting t-shirts and their pants hanging down. It was the most disgusting place!! I would rather sleep in my car then ever stay here again. Run away from this hotel as fast as you can. Even $10.00 a night is to much to pay for this service. And you must bring your own shampoo because you only get two hotel bars of soap and no maid service.

the lady at the front desk was rude and more worried about her phone call then she was helping us. The room was outdated! and there were ants everywhere in the bathroom! I wouldnt tell anyone to stay there!

It was ok. Slept lovely.

Just hung out and got to spend time with my honey. We got there and the reservation we made was for one bed and when i checked in they were out of one beds and gave us a room with 2 in it. the sink had a hole in the side of it that needed repair. the microwave you had to mess with it in order to get it to work. no coffee pot no iron\ironing board no hair dryer. When the hotel staff cleaned our room they took the dirty towels and didnt replace with clean ones and didnt refill the toilet tissue. I had to go downstiars and ask for them. In one of the drawers was a couple shirts that was left by previous renter i guess. i enjoyed my time with my honey as always we didnt let that affect our stay but it was very crazy and we will not be renting from that hotel again. ohhh the staff behind desk was nice.
