We only stayed overnight. Other than them not having a roll away bed, and some noise, it was a nice hotel. Extremely clean!!

Nice clean hotel, no problems. Nothing fancy and would stay here again. I believe we paid under $90. Really can't beat that price.

Very convenient for the east side of Columbia. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were cordial and helpful.

my room 210 had a huge cobweb in the corner, when reported to Hotel Staff the response was " I don't feel like going up there so I'll switch you rooms" Highly Unprofessional. When checking out the staff stopped attending to me in order to hold a conversation with a patron on the phone. Rule of customer service, tend to the customer in front of you, they are most important.

It was mostly clean. The hotel and room was quite outdated and needed some upgrades. The bed was too firm for me and the pillows were too soft. The clock had been unplugged which then to it blinking all the time. The staff was generally friendly, but when I checked out the women was very curt with me. Apparently, since I booked with Orbitz they couldn't give me a receipt. This was fine, but when I asked she didn't want to explain that to me.

This is an old hotel and it truly shows its age. Going to the room from the lobby with the chipped walls and carpet so old it looks like a wave pool I wasn't sure that room would be much better. There where massive stains on the ceiling from previous leaks, horribly chipped walls and stained carpets with an old humid room smell.

We had an awesome time there. Great location and get your money worth

this hotel was very spacious with many amenities to enjoy. Great spot for a nice family get together or just a nice get away spot.

The hotel was pretty average. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast was above average! The pool and hot tub were below average. The location, although not the fault of the hotel, was not near to the USC campus which is where most of my in town activities occurred.

This hotel is located near all stores, resturants, and activities. Clean and comfy rooms, excellent staff, and great continental breakfast. Well definitely stay there again.

This was the most pleasant stay. We stayed 3 nights to attend our son's boot camp graduation from Fort Jackson. Fort Jackson was a quick 10 minute ride from the hotel. Each and every staff member was super nice and very helpful with any questions we had. The hallways were clean, always hot coffee available, fresh cookies in the afternoon. The breakfast was good, good enough for us. The staff member taking care of the breakfast kept it clean and stocked. The room was just a bit small, for 4 of us, but that's okay, there was plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Restaurants close by, the Ruby Tuesday restaurant was excellent, with great and friendly staff. It seemed to be almost sold out each day we were there as the parking lot was very full. I really can't express how nice the front desk clerks were, all three shifts! Really easy access to the highway. Thanks to their entire organization for a great stay.

This hotel was very clean. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly.

Convenient and nice breakfast the kids liked the pool

When I checked in, the lady at the front desk was not helpful and was not friendly at all. When we entered the room, the bed sheets were very wrinkled, which made us question if the sheets were even washed or just re-used from prior guests. The shower was not cleaned, and I had to clean it myself. The refrigerator in the room was barely cold. We had items in there overnight, and they were not cold the next day. There was no temperature control on the refrigerator. Also, the screen outside our window (we were on the first floor) was all torn up, so I hope it wasn't due to someone trying to get into the hotel room prior. The breakfast offered was ok (scrambled eggs, potatoes, greasy sausage), but the fruit was not fresh. It was canned fruit. There were fresh oranges and fresh apples. The hotel definitely requires much updating when compared to the nicer hotels around it for the same price. I would have stayed elsewhere, but they were all booked in surrounding area. I would not stay in this hotel again.

I stayed there during a friend's wedding and it was conveniently located to the wedding venue and the staff was super friendly and efficient plus the rooms were very nice and clean. I would definitely stay there again if I had to be in the area.

Check in: We had a late check in and the woman working the front desk acted as if we were inconveniencing her and she was quite rude. Decent room for one night. Everything in the hotel seems very old and worn down. It is pet friendly which is good if you have pets, but not good if you are just trying to get a few hours of sleep before you finish the trip to your vacation destination and someone's dog continues to yip and yap. Thank goodness for the loud AC to drown that out! Amenities were OK. Was traveling with my infant son and needed to warm water for a bottle and when I opened the microwave it smelled like buttered popcorn. Bathroom was clean. Subpar hotel breakfast... Met need. Check out: Staff rude and unfriendly. Overall, my family was able to get a few hours of sleep before we continued our trip. We will not return to this hotel. I strongly believe I could find better quality for about the same price.

Great location for Fort Jackson BCT graduation. Just 5 minutes to main gate. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

I wish the Hotel had a traffic light entering and leaving EXCHANGE PL. It is the only hazard I encountered. The second shift staff were friendly, but the first shift front desk staff were like no smiles or greetings, I HATE MY JOB.

My family and I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, Columbia, SC for the first time. Everything was fine except for the pullout couch. My son slept on it and he complained that it was uncomfortable beacuse he could feel the springs on it, other than that it was a pleasant experience.

This hotel was located in a great place for us (visiting Ft. Jackson for graduation). The staff were helpful, let us check in a bit early which was much appreciated. I would stay here again, though I did notice several things that were not what I expected from a Country Inn/Suites. 1) There was a strange smell in the room...not sure what could be done about it, and it wasn't terrible...just noticeable when you entered. 2) Fitness room has a total of 3 pieces of equipment and two of them were not working...it was also very hot in there, and didn't seem to be a way to turn on air, or even a fan in there. Also, the vending on the second floor is not really vending - no machines in there, just an ice maker. I went to the 3rd floor, and it was the same. Finally found a vending machine on the bottom floor, and when I put my quarters in, it told me it wasn't working :-( So...ended up going to the front desk to get my bottle of water...not a major deal, but not what you expect. I would stay here again if the price was right, but it was a bit disappointing.
