This hotel staff here was very pleasant and accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay. The continental breakfast was hot and fresh every morning. The pool was nicely maintained and a real treat in the middle of summer with South Carolina heat. The couple things that maybe should be looked at for improving upon would be the finer details of cleaning and carpeting/flooring throughout the hotel, especially near the hot tub entrances. The hallways and elevator had quite a bit of staining and cleanliness issues. Some places had some tears and rips. The cleanliness of our room was pretty on par but there was some darker spots of what may be the start of mold around the caulking of the tub. A little bleach or mold/mildew remover would whiten that back up. Overall however a very pleasant stay and was near Fort Jackson where we needed to be.

We flew in for my son's graduation from bootcamp at Fort Jackson. We arrived early morning at 5am and called the hotel to see if we can check in early and will pay for an extra day. The manager graciously offered to check us in early for no extra charge. We greatly appreciated such a nice gesture.

Over on my experience with the hotel I had a great time staff was welcoming free breakfast was awesome but the carpeting in the facilities as a whole needs to be either ripped out or cleaned. Some areas especially in the elevator the carpet in the elevator smelled so bad very musty wet and for those that have bad allergies it's not good the air filters need to be changed when it comes to air conditioning

we were put into a handicap accessible room for no reason and it was poorly maintained - mold on walls outdated decor and uncomfortable beds - my back is still sore - we were in town for our daughters graduation from Fort Jackson. the night clerk told us that they had maps to the gate - in the morning we were told thy don't have anything like that - disappointment but we managed due to gps on phones (used a lot of our data) the "hot" breakfast choices were all cold. - it served its purpose - If we travel to Columbia again we will seek out different accommodations. this property needs a lot of sprucing up and it could be a desired location but not as it is now.

Was given a room that was already occupied. Staff resolved by giving me an upgrade to a suiet. Room was ok but smelt like it had been smoked in.

It was fine for business. A little dated but I would stay there again when I'm in that town.

My stay was a decent stay at this hotel. I would stay there again.

This was just an overnight 1 day stay. Room was clean and comfortable.

First room was not cleaned. Went to the front desk and got a new room. The staff apologized and was very accommodating.

A nice hotel with a free breakfast. It was quiet and I have no complaints

Our room had mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bedroom curtains had huge tears. The fire alarm went off at 3 am and they gave no explanation. Noisy ac/furnace unit. Awful stay.

Wonderful place to stay very clean stay was awesome

I had a conference on the NW side of Columbia and this hotel was ideal for me to go against inbound traffic. The hotel and room were nice. Could use a replacement of the in room coffee pot. Breakfast buffet was not bad. If I need to stay on that side of Columbia, I'll be looking to see if Baymont is available.

My ac wasn't working when I checked in but the maintenance guy quickly came and got it going ( didn't have any other issues). The morning staff is great!! The evening staff left much to be desired, it's was a rough start, but like I say the morning staff was great!

We came for a graduation in the army base so we just be there at the night not much to say the breakfast it's good and decently clean room we enjoy the waffles

My stay at the Baymont was very good! The hotel is very nice - clean, quiet, and pleasant stay!

Nice property. Clean, comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Although some reviews commented about the area, I did not find it unsettling. There was an out-of-business hotel on the corner that appeared to be under refurbishment, but otherwise area seemed fine. Easy access to highway.

Lets start with check-in, which took over 30 minutes because there was one employee on the busiest weekend for South Carolina (PGA Masters week). Lady checking us in kept answering the phone and complaining to us about the people calling and interrupting her. She had a bad attitude with everyone that called including us. Woke up at 5:00a with a ROACH on my chest. Travel partner had 3 different bugs in his bed. I caught the roach in a cup and took it down to the front desk. The person behind the counter just looked at it and said "Sorry, Its just that time of year." I went back to my room to look for more bugs and found woman's hair nestled within the sheets. I am a man, so this lets me know the sheets haven't been change since last person who stayed. Walls are so thin, that my traveling partner in the next room was able to hear my entire call that I had with my wife.

The hotel and accommodations were great. However, the area was run down, didn't appear "safe". We were a bit nervous about staying but when we got inside, our opinion changed due to the cleanliness and staff. Hotel across the street looked like a bomb went off and there were cars parked there - a bit of a concern that the area was on the shady side.

The hotels best asset is the staff. They were very friendly, attentive & professional. The biggest detriment is the room set up & amenities. The TV is set up on the side of the bed rather than in front. The refrigerator door kept falling off each time it's opened. There is/was a large roach under the toilet tank. It was there when we arrived & was still there (2days) when we left. I left it just to see how well the room was cleaned. U judge! If these can be corrected then the hotel is worth a recommendation.
