Booked for Two Weeks- Left after 45 Minutes.
I would avoid this property and this host. At first, the host was extra accommodating to us, given our need for an emergency place to stay with our dogs and cats. Then we arrived at the property and found it uninhabitable. There was a slew of mystery stains and smears on the walls and floors, warping floor boards, smoke detectors ripped from the ceiling, cabinet doors hanging off the hinges, and doors just flat out missing. The house smelt like stale cigarettes, and once we opened the door into the garage, we discovered why. The garage reeked of cigarette smoke, and the garage door itself was stained brownish yellow from how severe the smoke damage was.When presented with our concerns for the cleanliness, and especially the smell of smoke affecting our allergies and asthma, the host stated "We're having a hard time with any of your allergies and unsanitary statements due to the fact that you have 2 dogs and cats?" We left without staying a single night at the property and were forced to find emergency accommodation elsewhere. The host was a nightmare to communicate with, with every message he sent unprofessionally including some kind of unnecessary emoji. To add insult to injury, we contacted the city of Colorado Springs and discovered that this property wasn't even permitted to be a short term rental in the city. Just avoid- there are far better places to stay in Colorado Springs.
