1) Advertised as a luxury apartment. The location is not an apartment at all. THERE IS NO DOOR. Anyone with access to the building can come in the door to the building, walk down the stairs, and right into the space which is advertised as the "apartment". The bedroom doors lock individually, but one has to walk out of the bedrooms into what can only be described as shared space, past the buildings front door to access the bathroom. We would not have booked this location had this information been disclosed. Additionally, on multiple occasions I found the main door to the building unlocked or open, thus allowing anyone from the street to simply walk in the building and right into the shared space downstairs that was the "apartment". Security of the location is reliant on the diligence of strangers to secure the main door to the building since there is no interior apartment door.2) The bed was filthy. We walked into the bedroom, turned the light on, and immediately noticed something dark and oddly shaped under the sheet. We pulled back the sheet to find leaves, lint, strings, hair, dust, etc. It was hard to fathom how all that material would even get there. It was if the entire space had been swept with a large towel, then that towel placed on the top of the mattress, then a fitted sheet placed over the filthy towel. Speculation on how that filth got there, but it's the only thing I can imagine happening.3) Host refused to refund 1 night for items above.
