I called the hotel on the day we were headed down to ask about the pool. The front desk staff said they wouldn't be opening the pool for the season because they are closing the hotel in September. I asked why and she said the university bought the land and plans to build dorms or something. After hearing this, I felt a little uneasy because if they don't want to bother spending the money to open the pool, its possible they might be slacking, in general, to keep up the place. I was right. When we checked in, the front desk staff was pleasant, notified us that the printer was down and gave us our room cards. We got to our room and it smelled of stale urine and we weren't there for long before we noticed bedbugs on the wall. Luckily we hadn't unpacked anything so we went back to the front desk and asked for a refund. While standing there, another hotel occupant walked up and asked for a refund because he said there were cockroaches in his room. The front desk staff didn't seem very shocked to hear any of this but wrote the name and phone number of the manager on a post-it and the info for Orbitz so we could get our refund processed. Orbitz was awesome and processed the refund right away. Inconvenient to have to find another hotel at 9pm but we ended up staying at the Courtyard Marriott nearby and it was fantastic (newly renovated rooms)!

There were bugs (probably bedbugs) on bed. I had to steam/launder everything after returning. Evening staff was rude. Room was dirty and was not cleaned properly every day.

The carpet should be changed. And the facilities should be updated.

The first room was a smokers room, which was my mistake but, I was told it didn't smell like smoke. Well, the room was horrible, dirty and stink. I paid additional money for a suite, the sofa bed was uncomfortable and difficult to rest on. I have stayed here twice before but on the inside rooms on the upper floors. Please renovate the remaining rooms. Staff was great & food was good.

Stayed here numerous times. This time told last room. There was a hole in door where peep hole should have been. Mold on base board in bath. cocomplaint given when checking out as last room available.

Overall I'd rate it as a solid OK. The room was fairly clean, but showed its age. The bathroom door looked like a dog had scratched all the stain off of it, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the mirror was cracked. Overall, this place just looks lik a tired motel from the 1970s. There was a gal at the front desk that was wonderful with answering questions and helping out with maps and directions. She was a lifesaver! Best part is that it's within a quick walk to the train station for easy city access.

Pros: conveniently located near to UMD, 10 min walk to metro station, free breakfast cons: room smelly It is a good price to value, if you need the place to sleep.

Excellent for the value. Comfortable rooms, overall clean. Different sizes of room help with the prices.

In all good stay at this hotel. Satisfactory! Staff is good, breakfast bar has sufficient items. Coffee was excellent

i love everything it s was great ,quiet, for a geteway

Great location near the Metro station (easy to get into D.C.) and restaurants. Right near the U of MD campus.

Muy buen servicio. Bonitas instalaciones, todo accesible a los alrededores de el hotel , habitaciones muy limpias .

This hotel is conveniently located close to the metro station short but nice walk. The staff is very reliable and accommodating to our request. I enjoyed my stay at first I wasn’t sure but then said what the heck give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised at the awesome service I received from Rita at the front desk she was amazing. Our room was comfy and cozy and the amenities were good. The bed was very comfortable and though it was homecoming for the University there was not a lot of noise in the hotel or outside something you would normally expect so close to the college. Venture down the street a little bit and there are a host of eateries for your dining option. Should you need a pharmacy there is one in the strip mall a half block from the hotel. Overall I was really pleased and will definitely return again! Thank you very much Rita for your outstanding customer service! I will definitely return again.

CAME TO COLLEGE PARK FOR A FOOTBALL GAME. GREAT LOCATION NEXT TO U OF MARYLAND. SPENT 3 DAYS IN DC. CLOSE TO METRO WITH GOOD SUTTLE SERVICE.STAFF VERY HELPFULL AND FRIENDLY. BUILDING SHOWING ITS AGE BUT A GOOD VALUE. LOST FOOTBALL GAME. BOB FROM IOWA

I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for the weekend although i had reservation about it after reading some of the reviews; I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did there was not a lot of college kids making noise at all hours of the night. I really enjoyed my stay, the breakfast was a plus. The bed was really comfy, it was close to the metro and anything I needed or wanted was steps away. the property was clean, parking was good and the building was secure. I felt safe and I would recommend anyone looking for a nice laid back place to stya here. See you in the future!

I loved the location, close to campus and the metro station. Friendly and helpful staff.

problems with the manager unhappy with his consumer service... but staff was excellent.. place is nice and comfortable.

This hotel was average but in a great location. I stayed for one night. I love how they put me on the other side of the entrance (I hate being too many people) and overall it was a good stay. Their lobby looks nice, they have breakfast in the morning and they have parking. I would come again.

We came to suburban Maryland with little advance notice to attend a funeral, and the Baltimore Ave. Quality Inn met our needs very well. (For a vacation trip I might rate it 3.5.) For its inexpensive price our room was suitably clean and reasonably comfortable. The free breakfast was satisfactory, and in our circumstances quite convenient. And we managed to find a sheltered parking place under the tower on a night when it snowed. Although I have nothing to rave about, I also found nothing about which I want to complain. The word "reasonable" keeps suggesting itself, and that I consider a commendation.

If you are looking for long night of loud indoor and outdoor social gathering with a good continental breakfast included, this is the place for you! Music and partying from guest and visitors seem acceptable from 11pm until 4:30am. On sight 'Staff of 1' was clearly aware of the situation, morning staff reacted as if it was the culture of the facility. Furnishing was older with plenty of use and repair, but seemed to be as clean.
