ONE HELL OF A NIGHT!!! 2020 New Years Eve celebration gone bad. I'm a frequent flyer, and Expedia gold member, and this is the first time I have ever written a review for a hotel in over 20 years. Here's a snap shot after spending one night in the junior suite in this place, In order.
1. 1AM 1/1/2020 The cheap lock in the bathroom malfunctioned while my my wife was in it. She was locked in there for nearly one hour, the knob would not turn. I called reception to get maintenance to come help, no one answered the phone and they also had a S.O.S number which NO ONE ANSWERED!! After 15 min of no contact, I got dressed and left the room to find help, it's a large complex, therefore a 5 min walk. Security came and told me, i'm sorry maintenance is gone in a way like there was nothing to do but leave my wife trapped in the bathroom! After my reply, he proceeds to kick the door open, and finally she was freed.
2. There was a blood stain on my pillow. How delightful!
3. The light over the bed had 4 bulbs and when we turn the light off, only 3 shut off. So we had to sleep with the light on over us.
4. Morning after, went to front desk to make a complaint. They had uniformed staff but for some reason they had this guy named Philip address the situation and claimed to be the GM while dressed like he was at the beach. Philip told us to pack our S*** and get the F*** Out the hotel for a full refund.
Cant make this up. Good news is we went to Philipsburg and it was a better choice to stay.
