This Marriott location is likely the most " tired" one I have stayed in..As a rewards member who has stayed hundred' s of nights at various Marriott properties, this one is likely most run down one I have visited. The location is convenient to 75 and 275 but that neighborhood and surrounding does have the safe feel of most places I have stayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful so really the only reason this location is not rated a 1 star.
We were located in the hotel due to home renovations. The insurance make the arrangements and provided payment for our extended stay. I was asked for our credit card for incidentals. A hold for over $700 was placed on our card by the hotel staff. This was a huge inconvenience. My husband is in a electric wheelchair. Our room was accessible, but the suite was tight due to the furniture. It was difficult for my husband to manipulate the room. We immediately smelled animals when we entered the room. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The manager sincerely apologized for the inconveniences.
Our house had some water damages, so we needed a place to stay for 7 days that would accommodate my husband, teenage son, and my self so we chose Residence Inn. The property was clean, very well maintained on the outside as well as the inside. However I never got a chance to eat breakfast, due to the time they opened and my work schedule, but I heard it was good. Staff at front desk very friendly. We had an issue with our TV glitching while we were trying to enjoy a movie. I called the front desk and they sent someone right over to look at it. It need a new cord and they fixed it the next day. However that still didn't take care of the problem, but I didn't complain. If that was the only thing wrong I'd consider it a good stay!
The hotel was clean and neat. Quiet area. Very comfortable beds and facilities. Close to restaurants and such. I only spent one night there, but the staff were very accommodating. I have always had excellent accommodations in residence inn where ever I stay.
Stayed overnight on our way to our final destination. It was just me, my two children and our dog. We were given a room at the back of the property and at about 11 PM it started getting loud with people yelling, thumping music, and general partying. I was scared to even confront the people because I witnessed one man pushing around his girlfriend on our shared staircase and I wanted nothing to do with that since my husband was not traveling with us. My children were terrified at around 1:00 AM when the noise got even louder. We packed all of our things and went to the front desk. As soon as I opened to door, the smell of marijuana was very obvious and fresh. When walking to the car I did pass a security guard who was going to "check things out" but she didn't look like she could do too much. I wanted to leave the property and find another hotel but I knew it would be difficult with the dog and the time. The employees were ok and switched us to a room at the front of the property. It felt safer but was still loud with car driving by with thumping music and the highway traffic noise. We tried to get some sleep as we had another 8 hour drive the next day. The included breakfast was nice as were the breakfast workers. A major problem with the breakfast room is that it is located on the second floor with only stairs to access it. This would not work if you or your companions are handicap or elderly with limited mobility. The rooms were decent. We only pulled out the sleeper sofa in the first room and the mattress was extremely thin, lumpy, and stained. The check-in agent was kind as was the breakfast staff. The night auditor was indifferent but did help us switch rooms when needed.
Was here for a week, husband had work conference so I enjoyed quiet time. After reading all the reviews I worried about the location to the major hwy. I requested a room downstairs close to the pool (which they honored without a problem), but that put us first building closest to the hwy. Hwy DID NOT bothered us at all!!! HARDLY EVEN NOTICED IT. Just want to say clean rooms, breakfast was really good (buffet eggs-suprising good too), staff super friendly and on a dead-end road made for only residences traffic only. We would stay here again!!
Great hotel particularly for anyone needing a handicapped accessible room. The staff was very accommodating and very nice as well. Julie was the best of a great group of people. She found empty boxes, we were able to use to help our new college graduate move to a new apartment. I need an accessible room, and this hotel has a wonderful one. Super breakfast, too. All in all, a great experience.
I'm writing this at 4 in the morning because there was a lot of noise/ footsteps/ music coming from the 2nd floor. Apparently there was a party or some sort of gathering of bunch of college age kids. I had to call security twice before the kids were kicked out. It is a bunch of spread out frame townhouses and feels cheaply built because I hear footsteps and squeaks being on the 1st floor as people upstairs walk around. I would also hear as they conversate. Now the landscape of the overall property looks good. The room interior is less desireable. Poor layout overall. The toilet water is dripping inside the tank non stop for about 10 minutes after you flush. Bed is a bit too soft but bearable. This property is also near the train tracks and you can hear the horns at night. Not too loud but you can definitely hear it every 10 mins or so at night. I would think twice about staying here again.
One of the most accommodating hotel we have ever stayed at. They make sure your stay is satisfying and have great breakfasts along with a early evening light eats with new variety each day. We had to make last minute reservations after an Airbnb 4 day stay didn't work out due to construction noise.
Wanted to stay somewhere with a little more room. The room is spacious; however, no doors for the bedrooms. Odd spot on the carpet (looks like wax). The place is ok. But needs updating. Not what I would expect from a Residence Inn.
