Hotel was booked by our working partner in Chongqing and we arrived around 1245am, there was a very nice young man who came to pick us up at the airport very patiently and we feel really sorry for him as there was a flight delay and he was waiting since 11pm Upon arrival hotel looks like any other Chinese style 4 to 5 stars hotel, despite only the 3 of us the lady took quite a while to register us like nearly 20 to 25mins, I think she is really tired too consider its mid night. The room upon checking in was marvellous, it was only a normal deluxe room but it was like a presidential suite. Its about 50sqm I think with a dining table for 4 to 6, a huge king bed, sofa at a considerably wide living area. then there was a little closet where it was spacious and the robes are there and you can hung your clothes. Toilet was so big, the shower area and bathtub is enclose in one area but the shower area can easily fit in like 10 people inside, it was so big and there was even a TV in it. Then come the big issue, I thought registering with the front desk was suffice but came the Police knocking on our doors to register us. Had only 4 hours of sleep, did breakfast it was very good mix of western and asia style, very sweet rockmelon served, good variety and not crowded even at 830am. I would recommend to stay here if you catch an early flight or flew in late with plans to go to suburbs.
We stay here during 1 night stay in Chongqing. Hotel is very close to Airport, we had actually walk to hotel with our Chinese host. Room was very good and modern. Average room price, but area is ok, very far from city center. We could not find any good bar to spend evening at.
Stayed just for one night on business stop over, my third visit to this hotel in as many years and the best experience yet. Arrival: took the free shuttle service from the airport which is close by and had a smooth check in - although they do take your passport for sometime to harvest details! I was told I received a complimentary upgrade of my room which was a nice surprise! The staff were very friendly and smiles all round. Room: it was huge with a massive comfy bed with a choice of pillows, a sofa to lounge on, a large desk to work from and a table and chairs to dine or invite guests should I wish! The bathroom was equally spacious and luxurious. The room finish was to a high quality and classic taste. I was impressed and sad that I'd checked in late evening and had to leave in the morning - not much time to enjoy the room. The complimentary water is always a nice touch too. Breakfast: perhaps the only small let down which doesn't keep up with the rest of the hotel or other experiences in China. Not that it was bad, completely fine and lots of choice but I didn't find the quality of the food as good as other places. Overall: A good all too short stay and thank you for the room upgrade!
We stayed here over night for an early flight the next morning because it is very close to the airport and has pickup service from the airport itself (if you take the train out to the airport first). It is also a 5 minute taxi ride back to the airport if you're in a rush. Rooms are large, clean and well appointed. More importantly, the rooms are very quiet so we were able to sleep without hearing jets or people in the hallway, as is the case with many airport hotels. One odd quirk is that the room AC controls appear to allow you to (try to) change the temperature but they don’t actually do anything as the temperature is centrally controlled. The hotel is right next to a large luxury mall with many restaurants, so there is no lack of food choices or shop until you drop options for purchasing anything you need. (It seemed like an odd location for a luxury shopping mall, but I guess in a city of 36 million you may not want to travel an hour to get downtown for shopping.) We didn't eat the hotel breakfast because of our early flight so we can't comment on that. The hotel is a bit more expensive that the local average hotel prices, but the quality is worth it! We enjoyed our stay and recommend it.
The rooms are very comfortable for the price and equipped with everything you need (or may have forgotten). It is just 10 minutes drive from the airport and someone is always waiting with the free shuttle bus service. The gym and pool in the basement are also good although sometimes off limits during winter as the rain floods the area. There is a shopping mall right next door and local shops as well as wide selection of restaurants.
We arrived close to midnight and the service was excellent. Picked up at the airport and no hassles at all with bags, everything was done for you. Check-in was smooth and easy and a nice large room. First time I have ever seen a TV in the bath area so you can watch while relaxing in the bath. The hotel has free bottled water and the mini is free to use at no charge, very generous. We had a nice buffet breakfast the next morning and all included in the very reasonable room price. Highly recommended.
its one of the best hotels i have been to in china. in a place like china were there is a language problem. But i found this hotel had mostly the staff who could talk english and understand your needs. rooms were very well made out. i would like to visit this again. breakfast in the morning was too good.
This was the nicest hotel we stayed in out of 5 hotels in China. The breakfast was really wonderful and the service was excellent. The rooms were filled with many details including a wonderful deep bathtub with a TV screen, a bidet, good wifi, tons of little extras. The hotel has a nice hot tub, pool, and exercise center but we did not have time to try those. There are English Speakers on staff! The hotle is very close to the airport. As Chongqin is a mega city, this may be very important as you can take hours to cross it. They have a free shuttle to the airport available.
I stayed at the hotel for a night and needed somewhere close to the airport to catch a morning flight. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport which takes about 5-10 minutes. Staff spoke English and the rooms were nice. Great breakfast. Only minor point was that when paying with card, the machine charged me in GBP without asking whether I wanted to pay in GBP or RNB and then paper voucher said "I confirm I was given a choice in which currency to pay" - which I wasn't. I only stayed one night, so probably lost £2-3 on this little foreign exchange currency scam, but this was rather annoying. Great hotel other than that (oh, and a Starbucks downstairs...)
Location Hotel is located about 5 min walk or a few minutes by car from Chongqing airport- it's right opposite the hotel. The hotel is in a busy area, right next to hotel is a star bucks but also a large mall in which includes the likes of Walmart and Burger King plus many Chinese restaurants. About 5 minutes walk away is the stunning Bijan park , a lake with a traditional Chinese tower that you can go up, boats you can hire and a museum. A walk around takes about 40 minutes. Plenty of banks, shops and some massage places and pharmacies so location is fairly good if you want to avoid down town area. Which I am told is about 45 min - 1 hour drive away. Room The room on the 9th floor (only floor that is non-smoking) was of good size, very grand typical Chinese luxury decor such as gold fabric headboard and flower imprinted carpet. The room offered a large and very comfortable double bed, not a king but sufficient for a couple. Either side are bed side tables offering lamps that had a dimmer switch plus above ceiling lights for each side - good for reading. A classical clock is offered and telephone with pad. Facing the bed is a wide screen TV that offers 60 channels of which looking at guide 8 are non- Chinese. However BBC did not work and discovery / HBO kept freezing, so basically don't rely on TV if your not Chinese. Below the TV is a cabinet that offers the free mini bar - a few beers, soft drinks like 7up and Pepsi & water. In the corridor leading to room is another cabinet that offers beef jerky , potato chip, nuts and cards with a chargeable list, so whilst they promote a free mini bar, they are only referring to drinks. Above these snacks is a kettle with days hotel tea bags and Nescafé coffee sachets. Some digital luggage scales are also offered to the side. The wardrobe is right by the door and includes sufficient amount of coat hangers, robes , ironing board and slippers. A decent sized laptop size safe is offered, plus a shoe polishing service. Back in the main bedroom a glass top working desk is offered with a comfortable leather chair. International socket and LAN cable plus a lamp and phone. Decent space to work from. The room also offers a small sofa and glass table with a plant. Very large windows offering good natural light but not double glazed so you can hear some of airport noise but not significantly. The bathroom is of adequate size for one person offering both a bath tub (with TV at front - that didn't work) shower cubicle. This has option of automatic venetian blinds to main room. There is a Japanese wash let toilet - all well automated with a handy telephone next to it. Full drawer of amenities plus mini bottle of body lotion, bath foam, shampoo & conditioner - days hotel branded. Overall clean with marble design. Whilst the room is a clean, comfortable and functional product. The weakness I found is the digital AC. It's hard to use, I found the room cold when on even when upping the temperature (which didn't seem to work well) or hot when off (was here in September). The annoying thing is it is quite noisy that and the non double glazing will make some difficulty for light sleepers. Facilities The hotels offers free unsecure wifi hotel wide for multiple devices. VPN worked fine if say you need to use gmail or Facebook. There is a business centre with a few computers that is staffed. The Windows computers didn't work when I attempted to use them. The hotel does Leisure facilities include a gym , adequate equipment, a medium sized indoor pool that you must wear a shower cap- never used it so cannot comment on water. There is also a night club called Mirage- but never visited it. There is also a SPA but was closed when I was there due to Chinese holiday. Pool table is offered near the leisure facilities. Catering facilities include a buffet where breakfast is held. It's ok in terms of selection but quality of food was disappointing. There is also a piano bar that offers drink and food - both western & Chinese plus 24 hours room service. Used this twice, wood oven pizza tastes like the microwaveable kind you find in the west. Burger was ok but staff don't speak much English so can be a challenge explaining that you don't want say onions. Next door to hotel is Starbucks. Parking is also offered on lower levels. Staff Staff are as usual in premium hotels main land China really don't speak English very well. Only one could at reception. However they do make an effort overall and are not rude. Overall the room was comfortable it just has a poor level of maintenance with TV's plus AC was an issue. Also if your a light sleeper bring ear plugs.
