Wish we had more time. Beautiful property. Very friendly staff. Gorgeous green belt area on a creek. Right across from the market and short distance to central downtown area.
I was incredibly disappointed with my room. It looked nothing like the photos on or the one I paid for on Orbitz. It smelled like an old pack of smoked cigarettes of yesteryear. Which gave me an enormous headache and made me want to vomit. The furniture was scraped, chipped, and spotted. And the window curtain had what appeared to be a mold stain. There was no hand soap and all of the towels were dingy, stained gray, instead of crisp white. Moreover, the WiFi signal was very weak, at best. I drove 6 hours to this town (through fog, rain, and darkness), alone, with my small children, from New Jersey. Only to arrive to arrive to a room that made me feel utterly disrespected. I was simply too exhausted and desperate to leave at 9:30pm, so I had to just deal. Gratefully, though the room was trash, the bedding looked and smelled clean. I sent a message and called staff right away, to which they were kind and apologetic. They offered me a “nicer” room after agreeing that my room was “not good” and that they “didn’t like that one either.” From what I was told the staff is new and they are making updates. However, any room that looks like that should not be made available to anyone. With only a few days left for my weekend trip, I ended up having to take their second choice for my stay because I didn’t have time to search for another property. And re-planning my whole trip was not feasible because there was very little lodging in the area, and I simply did not have the t
Lovely property very close to restaurants and shopping area. Loved our room and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The river views were amazing, especially at the sunrise. It was conveniently located and although there weren’t many amenities, the room was clean and had been updated recently. Only negative was the heater took a while to get going and there weren’t extra blankets in the closet to help keep warm. By the middle of the night, it was comfortable but it was a chilly start to our sleep.
Convenient location, nice river views, 24-hr. coffee
I happily give the hotel a 10 as it was exactly what I was looking for. I loved the room and the view outside the windows looking over the river was breathtaking. Perfect location in town to walk about without the need to get in the car. This made our Christmas stay wonderful.
We were very happy with our room. It was spacious, clean and well appointed. The location was excellent - close to the downtown shopping area and great restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. Woodstock is a lovely small Vermont town with tons of charm;the Inn's atmosphere is a perfect reflection of that charm.

Thank you for this amazing review, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback. Placing extra blankets in the rooms during winter months is a great idea, and I will be sure to share this with our staff.
