Enjoyed the stay here for a couple of nights during the 2017 wine festival, the hotel was located a little away from the centre but taxis were very cheap (as was everything else in Chisinau) and a walk was a good way to let the amazing food on offer in Chisinau settle. The hotel staff were multi-lingual, friendly and very helpful, the rooms were of a very good standard with well-stocked mini-bars, nice decor and good facilities. The bar was pleasant with good bar staff, parking free and good wifi. Breakfast was buffet style but ample and had good coffee. We enjoyed the stay here for a few nights and would stay there again.
I stayed here just 2 nights for a conference I had in Chisinau. Hotel is really up to European standards. It's clean, services are good and breakfast is really ok. I didn't have the time to cruise around, but it's close to the center. Choose this hotel and you won't be disappointed.
Some reviews I read before staying here suggested that it was not "central." I suppose that depends on your perspective. It is effectively 1-2 blocks from what were once the two biggest hotels in the city - Hotel Chisinau and the National. The city itself is what might be called "sprawling" in some ways, so maybe there is not such thing as a compact city center, but I enjoyed a lot of walking, some time in a couple of nice parks, and overall found everything worked out just as I had hoped. I found the hotel a very comfortable place to stay. The room was very clean, well-organized, and I very much appreciated the fast wi-fi connection.
Very clean, friendly staff, good bed, lovely breakfast (as all Best Western Plus have). Rooms and hotel fairly new and well maintained. Helpful front desk in a place few speak English. Just off main streets and very quiet at night. Lovely French doors and A/C. Nice stay!!!
Just returned from two-week business stay here. Hotel is located 20 mins walk from the heart of the central area, in a run-down but peaceful area, but we chose it because it was near where we were working. It is small, with 40 rooms over four floors, and has no luxury facilities. The clientele seems to be mainly local, not international, businessmen. We had suite rooms at a good corporate rate, and comfort level was fine even though the room was dark - poor ratio of window to blank wall - and rather old-fashioned in its decoration. Windows needed attention (dirt from recent building works outside and two double glazing panes misted over in the middle). Two light bulbs in room not working (three in a colleague's) suggests there is no regular checklist for keeping standards up. The hotel's general facilities consist of a bar (dark but cosy) and a restaurant that was very little used. Breakfast was poor: cheap cereals, some fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, packeted bread to toast, cheese slices and warm fried eggs and sausages. Other eggs could be ordered on demand but the concept of a 4.5 minute soft-boiled egg was rather a challenge for the chef, with a hit trate of about 20% over my stay. Evening meals were mainly grilled meats and fish with roasted vegetables, nothing inspiring but at least reasonably priced, as was the wine. The kitchen ran out of dishes rather too often For business travellers there is a 'business centre' which is full of the hotel's accounting records in boxes on the floor. But it has two working computers and a printer, so was fine to work in. There is also a large conference room with very gloomy feel and a musty smell, probably because no light is allowed to enter it and the windows are never opened. The hotel's staff are young, friendly and very hard working. Delightful people who try their best, despite not being trained to the standards familiar to people who regularly stay in American Chains. This hotel is Moldovan owned and part of the BW franchise, and the difference with internationally-managed hotels does show!
Very good hotel which would ideally suit the business traveler. Excellent facilities and helpful staff. Central location and very good restaurant (Fish and chips recommended) but they are definitely very different to any you may have tried before!
I stayed here for 4 nights. Its located a little off center but on the airport side of town and not far from the train station. It's clean, has excellent wifi, is in a quiet side road, and near a few cheap places to eat. Given that it's only 6 years old it feels tired but everything works and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet is a little basic but adequate. I visited the restaurant on 1 evening. There were only 2 of us in there and I felt it was a bit of an inconvenience for the server to actually have customers but the Moldovan cuisine was well cooked and the Moldovan wine excellent
Well fitted and appointed, decent size rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Food pretty good. Slightly away from the centre of the city, and next to a building site for an apartment block, but walkable to the centre and local amenities. Rack rates are high nonetheless, so worth exploring getting a decent deal. But a recommended venue.
Pleasant hotel, friendly staff, large well equipped rooms, but ... LOCAL DOGS barking on and off throughout the night, particularly bad for the left hand side rooms, and limited breakfast choice with slow service.
I stayed here for one night after arriving back from Tiraspol, so that I would be in a convenient location from which to leave for the airport early the next morning. I stayed in Room 507, which had a TV, Wi-Fi connection, luggage rack (or else you can put your bag on the desk), minibar and free tea, coffee and bottle of water. The bathroom had a shower (but no bath), hair dryer and makeup mirror. My main gripe was that the power socket in the bedroom was not conveniently located. The reception staff were helpful. There’s a great onsite restaurant, which I recommend if you’re saying at the hotel, especially as I don’t think there are many other decent restaurants in this area of town. (Frankly, even in the very center of Chisinau, where I had stayed earlier on the trip, the food options aren’t great.)
