Location is convenient. Staff was unfriendly, did not find our reservation and charged use above the rate we had booked.

At the last minute we had to find a motel to spend the night to do some more volunteer work the following day for Disaster Relief for the Paradise Camp Fire victims. This little one story motel was a very nice place to rest up because it had a refrigerator and microwave and TV, and even though it’s an older motel it has been all upgraded including solar electricity, new paint and new parking lot, and probably a lot of other stuff we didn’t see new. They even had a pancake making machine that was pretty cool for breakfast. The manager had a unique name, her name is “Pretty!” We will probably stay there again if we stay to work late in the area. And best of all, the price was very good!

Burn holes on the comforter, patched up broken bathroom door and wall. I felt sad and scared to think of what previously went down in that room. Cheap inn

This place is in probably the worst part of town. Several Uber drivers said lots of drug activity in this area. While we were there for under an hour we did notice a lot of shady individuals cruising in and out of the parking lot. The room when we first entered smelled like bug spray. The toilet wasn't cleaned from the last time people that stayed there. We then pulled the covers back from the bed and were just totally disgusted! Sheets were dirty with stains, hair and even ants. So no way we were going to staying there. Went to get our money back and find another place to stay but the Manager would only refund $15 of the $120/night for the room. The Manager was actually a nice guy but probably cause he's used to this situation. I have no idea how they got 3.5 stars out of 5. He offered a different room because housekeeping had already left for the day but we said no way and took the $15 and said I would definitely be writing a review. Save yourself some time and money and don't stay here!

Staff very helpful and very comfortable rooms WiFi connection worked great Within driving distance to many restaurants Quiet Clean Room' Comfortable bed and the pillows were very nice T.V worked well and was new

room was dated but very clean and comfortable. soft bed but not uncomfortable. staff friendly. seemed situated in a semi-industrial area. two mini markets across the street but otherwise a bar with no windows and loud music (for locals) and several used car lots. most businesses closed. short drive to downtown area-perhaps 12-15 blocks. wouldn't recommend walking. didnt feel threatened but dimly lit streets.

I came to Chico because I am a student at CSU Chico and I had three long days of class and orientation. I was not at the hotel much, basically to do homework, unwind, shower and sleep. It served it's purpose for just that. The room was clean and cozy, I enjoyed my stay. The TV leaves something to be desired. They don't have many channels and half the ones they do have are fuzzy. I was hoping for more in that department. And it seems like on one of the days that the staff who 'cleans' the rooms came in and just kind of hung out for a little while. I'm very clean so I made the bed before I left and had everything in order. When I got back I tell the bed had been sat and laid on, my computer and the TV remote had been moved from where I had left it and there were a couple pads and paper left out next to my computer. I could be assuming, but it was a little strange to me. Otherwise, the hotel was ok.

Nice staff. Quiet hotel that is still walking distance to downtown. Close to Sierra Nevada Brewery. I believe the room I stayed in was being renovated as furniture was missing along with not having a closet.

This hotel deserves more than the one-star rating it receives. While there is some road noise from a major thoroughfare, it is set back from the street so it isn't too bad. The rooms are small, but they are clean and fresh smelling. The rooms are also equipped with blow dryer, iron, ironing board, microwave oven, television, phone, and refrigerator. The beds are firm, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel itself is fairly quiet. I would go again for the price, location, and comfort.

I attended a wedding in Chico Saturday night and it was fairly close to this location.

The rooms are cozy but have nice modern acoutraments - flat screen tv and nicely tiled shower. The rooms also come with a microwave and mini-fridge. It was nice to wake up to coffee with cream from the local co-op. The location isn't very pretty or convenient to downtown, but Chico is small enough that downtown is a short drive away.

Although I had read a few questionable reviews of the Roadway Inn in Chico, My experience was quite pleasant. The on-duty manager was helpful in providing me a map and directing me to the race I was running in town. The room had a flat screen TV, a new tile shower, a lounge chair with an ottoman as well as a comfortable clean bed. I was only there 1 night but I enjoyed my stay and will return again.

The microwave and refrigerator were not in the room as stated. The tub didn't drain. No screen on the window. Loud neighbors and no relief. We will not be going back.

The owner was very nice. However the quality of this place was horrendous!! Holes in the walls, stains everywhere on the furniture, the smell was aweful! But the price was great! ack!!!

I don't know why this place is getting such poor reviews. I had a soccer tournament in chico and the guy that was supposed to be booking our room got hurt and couldn't go anymore so i stepped in on Tuesday and this was the only hotel available by that Saturday. It had poor reviews so we were expecting the worse but it was awesome. Friendly staff, cheap rate, jacuzzi in room and the room was air conditioned before we even checked in which was nice.

Good stay esp.for the price. Bed was very comfortable. The sheets were very soft! That is most important to me as that is the bases of the stay. TV had many channels to pick from, but the TV itself was very small. The room was very hot when I got there, put the air on and left for dinner. When I returned,it was comfortable all night.Air conditioner was not loud at all.Slept great. There was no alarm clock for the morning. The bathroom had some kind of seeds on the floor and the usual long black hairs that were not mine. (I am blonde) Minor negatives. Would stay again.
