Very poor impression as upfront information about cash only valet was not apparent, and then finding a valet who acknowledged having change was like pulling teeth. The bed was not a King as promised, and was only a top mattress and lumpy. The fridge's seal was loose and made me glad I wasn't planning on using it. The oven clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages, which made me wonder what the $50 cleaning fee actually included. Oh yeah, and the garbage, which tenants are responsible for emptying from rooms, wasn't moved from the trash room often enough, resulting in a sick smell in the hallways. Additionally, it seemed having a 4:30 check-in time, followed by a 10am check out time, was not consistent with industry norms. On the plus side, it was within walking distance to EVERYTHING I wanted downtown. I did feel safe, and the valets were timely in getting our car to us at check out. The parking fee was lower than what one would pay at any other hotel downtown.

The desk is only staffed between 4:30pm and midnight. You have to check in between those hours. If anything goes wrong at other times, you're on your own. There's scaffolds everywhere. It's hard to find the entrance. The hallway has lovely architecture. There is no lobby. On the floor where our room was there were mattresses propped up in the hallway and odd chairs pushed into a clear space that could have been a lounge area if there was more space and less chairs. You couldn't use them because they were so dense. The room was tiny. The chairs by the table were dirty as was the sponge in the sink. The dishes were wet with water puddled atop them. Gross. Was not well cleaned despite our having to pay a $50 cleaning fee AND $50 fee that had no explanation attached. RIP OFF.

We checked out first thing in the morning after a night where the a/c did not get the room below 80+ degrees. Really disappointed which got our first day of vacation off to a terrible start which involved a long nap during the day.

Needed a hotel for 3 couples, the 2 room apartment was great. Very spacious in room 1801. Beds were clean and comfy. Bathroom had clean towels and toiletries for us. Kitchen was a great addition to our stay!

This is not a traditional hotel. No A.C. even though their website advertises it and the fire escape door was open to allow a breeze, but it was the 21st floor so safety is an issue. It was 94 degrees in my room and staff was unwilling to accommodate me at all, would not try to switch rooms and would not offer a discount. The sheets smelled musty like someone else had slept in them and there was someone else's food in the refrigerator.

This is really just a place to crash. No amenities, no maid service, unreliable cable & wifi. The only good things are the price & location.

Very nice room, with all amenities promises, in historic building. Check in/out times a little wonky, but workable. Good value.

Check in was quick. Accomodations were efficient and clean.

Hotel is in a great location, but the building is very old and the elevators barely work. It's good enough to sleep at if you're from out of town and will be exploring the city instead of just sitting in your hotel.

Arrived before check in and wanted to check in our bags, we were greeted with a very rude lady that did nothing to help us. She said she was out of luggage tags, then went back to what she was doing (putting room keys in a envelope) Her aweful attitude was not a good start. We then went back about 30min after and another lady had helped us and checked in our bags. At first glance the room looks absolutely amazing but when you start to look a little closer you notice that the walls are scuffed and dirty, the rug in the bathroom was ripped and over a lose time that you could feel when you stood on it and the shower has mold in the corners. The location was amazing though.

Aside from it being affordable, the location is amazing. Walking distance to most places. Loved it!!

Finding the place was our first hurdle as the door does not mention Millennium Park Apartments, just Fornelli. A housekeeper helped us find where to check in. On arrival at the reception area to get our keys at the 4pm stated check in time, we were advised that the room assignments would not be available until 4:30pm. Actual time was almost 5pm. We go up to our "suite" of 2 bath, 2 queen size beds, and a pull out couch and find one bedroom with only 2 single beds. The check in lady is only a third party agent and could not address our concerns but gave us the after hours number of "those in charge" to call Mike. He would also be able to help with more blankets and pillows. Mike did not answer and did not return the call. The one pillow supplied per sleeping position was extremely thin and small and when we did not hear from Mike we were forced to buy more. Then the toilet got plugged and we were forced to buy a plunger from Walgreens at 8am on Sunday morning! The overnight security guard could not help us. On the positive side the location was great and very close to Millennium Park, Chicago Transit stations, and all the shops;restaurants we could ever want/need. We also loved having a suite at a reasonable price for Chicago.
