Hotel Versey - Days Inn Chicago

This is one of my go to locations in the city - convenient to so much, and reasonably priced. The update turned out really nice, adding a cheery vibe alongside a comfortable bed and room features. Outdated, still, are the difficult to find a comfortable temperature air/heat machines -- they don't sell these with a temperature gauge rather than "Lo" and "Hi"? -- and the $1 charge for local calls. Both feel very 1970s still. Overall, though: Well done! Worth the stay.

We loved staying here. We had stayed here previously when it was the Days Inn. The place has been upgraded with very interesting, fun decor. FYI. The rooms are small, especially the bathrooms. If you have experienced a typical New York hotel room...it's like that.

Great location near The Vic theater! Staff was so helpful! The room was perfect!

The hotel was clean, the staff pleasant but the rooms were ridiculously small. We had paid a bit extra, a rate that I would pay at a three and half or four star on prime Michigan Ave, so that we could have a slightly bigger room with a queen bed only to get a room barely bigger than the bed! It was difficult to manage your suitcase around it. The bathroom was equally small and in major need of renovation. The view... a rooftop and air conditioning unit. When we complained to the management they said to try again in the morning in case one of the larger rooms "we paid for" opened up for our second night. We were looking for a place to stay when visiting our daughter in Lincoln Park but I am afraid we will need to keep looking. Would not recommend.....should not be rated three stars.

Well appointed room with quaint bathroom fixtures. Great view of the busy intersection-406. Room is smaller than others I saw but cozy for one.

All in all, Hotel Versey was an excellent place to stay. They are still remodeling in some parts, but the room was comfortable, and the staff was excellent in every way. Will definitely be coming back. Hopefully, they will have a restaurant next time.

Everything you need within walking distance. Cool music always playing in lobby. Super friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. Better coffee setup in room would improve experience. All else is great!

great location. Decent aesthetic. Hard pressed to find any bottled water anywhere in the hotel. Was forced to drink tap...not the end of the world but seemed strange. They had a great KCUP espresso machine but no water? Seemed strange. KUMAS TOO burger joint a few doors down had incredible food.

Walking into the hotel, there's definitely a "cool" vibe. There are good restaurants nearby and Wrigley is just over a mile away. The major downside for me was feeling cramped. The stairs and elevator were very narrow and I kept wacking my arm on the toilet paper roll in the bathroom. But overall well worth the price.

Don't use the valet as they had an accident with my car. The valet is under contract to holiday inn.

Walking distance to Wrigley and many great restaurants! Access to local fitness center is a huge bonus!! Will definitely stay again and again!!

Great location for Wrigley Decent rooms Needs a laptop and printer for lobby Would have liked food availability and bar

I stayed her because it was fairly close to DePaul University. What a great location. So many cool bars, shops, cafes, restaurants, parks, stores all within walking distance.

Excellent location near shopping, restaurants, and nearby to Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville for those who enjoy walking. Would definitely book again when visiting Chicago.

Within walking distance of Wrigley Field, restaurants and bars, train station, and Lake Michigan. Recently renovated rooms are a major improvement.

Great hotel in a great area. Would have just parked my car in the garage instead of valet.

Easy walking distance to Wrigley Field. Great restaurants all around. Even access to LA Fitness.

Only bad thing is the elevator doesn't work other then that great place to stay

The location and overall facilities 3 stars due to only elevator not functioning. The rooms small and cozy with Nesspresso!.For the right rate will be back

The remodel on this hotel is perfect. Great design. Our only complaint this stay was no elevator. The elevator was broken with no repair date. With 2 bad knees the 3 flights of steps were a problem.
