I was here in May and was told improvements were going to be made throughout their properties. I searched, but this was the only hotel near my destination that allowed smoking. I will not be in this area again so I don't have to work about staying here again. The type of room I had requested was not available when I checked in. It was late and I was tired so I didn't have a choice, I had to take the room. The lady who checked me in that night (sorry, I misplaced her name) tried to be understanding but there was really nothing she could do. As with the other location nearby, there was nothing in the room that was stated in the advertisement such as coffee maker and microwave. I was moved to another room the next day. I went downstairs that afternoon and received a coffee maker, but was told there was no coffee. This place is a dump and I guess I need to stop smoking in order to avoid places like this. I had been told in May by the area manager that improvements were going to be made, but I guess that meant years in the future.

Extended stay hotel with a kitchenette BUT absolutely no plates utensils or pots/pans at all. Good thing I didn't need any of it.

OK hotel in a logical location - but travelers take note: only bar soap provided, no shampoo/conditioner. There was also none at the front desk when I asked.

I brought my dogs along for the trip. I was ready for the $25 per day (about average). However, the hotel tried to charge me 2 more times for the same fee. I had to go down to the front desk for a clean set of towel on the 3rd day.

this is not far but not close to chicago either, but it is a good deal! always been the classic extended stay style

Helpful at the front desk in setting up a cab, free breakfast was appreciated, in house washer and dryer and vending was nice for amount paid!

Asked for a nonsmoking room. Yet room smelled of cigarettes.

It was a comfortable experience overall. The room was clean and the bedding appeared laundered. Don't expect much help from the front desk after midnight. There was no one there, just a sign say they were helping someone else. That help lasted past 1:30am. The bath tub wasn't at it's cleanest. There was lots of hair on the tub that I had to clean off before showering. Quite disgusting. That was uncool. I really liked having a real tv in the room. It's 2014 and I believe with hotel rates, all hotels should have flat screen televisions. It was also cool that I could play my PS3. Lots of places don't allow you to be able to connect your gaming consoles which I think is also uncool. My only complaint is the 11:00am checkout time. It's an Extended Stay with kitchen and dining area, but on the day of checkout you have to be out before noon? I asked for a late checkout and was only granted 30 minutes. I just think it'd be consumer friendly if you didn't have to check out of an Extended Stay hotel earlier than you have to checkout any typical hotel. The Westin even allows for a 3pm checkout on Sundays. They need to checkout the time of checkout and increase it by at least an hour.

I booked this hotel because of the amenities listed but upon my arrival, I found out that they did not have what they listed on their webpage. They did not have a pool or fitness room. It was a huge disappointment and waste of money. I also found out that I could have booked it for one night and not two but the receptionist said I was technically staying two nights when in fact it was only one. I know this because my friend who came with me booked it there instead of online and she only paid the price of one!!! There was no room service in the morning when I came back to my room after running errands. The trash wasn't changed nor did I receive any clean towels.

The staff at the hotel was great, they were very kind and helpful whenever I had a question or problem. However the room was pretty gross. I found a bug in my bed the second night and didn't sleep the whole week I was there because the room just felt so dirty. There was hair in the bathroom! My room was non smoking but I could smell the smoke from other rooms. It's cheap, so you get what you pay for.

I was very disapointed with this hotel, you will think that for people staying in a place for more than couple days would like something better for the money, the room very old fashion, all the appliances very fillty everything very bad, garbage all over the place in hallways. staff very unfriendly. I never will go back to this hote again.

Room was perfect for our trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location for connection to other areas of greater Chicago.

Everything positive review I read before booking was true. The staff was fun and helpful. The room was beyond what I imagined.

Over all this place is fine for it charges

ok hotel for the price...not to far from downtown

Excellent service, clean room, all the comforts of home

it was very comfy with outstanding staff service

The pillow smelled real bad like body oder, when I called down to the front desk about it I was told I had to brin them down and they would exchange them for clean pillows and pillow cases. I had to get dressed to go down and get fresh pillows and they stilled smelled bad. I have asthma so I am very senceative to smells. I was in a non smoking room however there must have been a smoking room real close to mine because I kept smelling cigarette most of the eveing and early morning. This is not what I expected being in a non smoking room, you would think that they would not be placing smoking rooms too close to non smoking rooms. When I went to check out in the morning there was no one at the front desk, only a sign saying to use the lobby phone to call a certain extension to speak with someone. I was told to just leave my room key on the front desk. This is something I really did not feel comfortable doing, there is nothing preventing any one from picking up that key or any one elses for that matter and going to the rooms and perhaps trashing them, I would not want to be blamed for trashing a room when some one else did it. The rooms where quite they was no outside noise so they did have good windows that keep out street noise which I was greatful for. If I ever need to stay at a hotel again because of bad weather I will not use this one again and not sure if I will even use a different location. Respectfully Karen Haumann

extended stay america was very nice it had all the luxuries of home(stove top, fridge, microwave, etc) for a great price. the bed was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. it was a great place to stay.

The check in was very smooth as was check out. The room had everything that you would need if you needed to use it as a place to stay for several days and you wanted to do your own cooking. The only thing that I wished that they had was a hair dryer, most all places have them nowdays and they didn't and didn't have any at the service counter.
