Huge room in downtown Chicago. The room was very clean and had incredible view. Excellent value! !

This was a greay stay. Staff were awesome. Apartment was huge. We felt like we had a deluxe condo in the city. Only complaint is complex is big and elevators take a while. Also, no cleaning service each day. It was worth skipping this to stay there but I missed daily clean sheets. A little challenging to figure out when you can get the key but the staff worked with us closely.

It was fun staying here because I felt like I was living in the city. The rooms were huge and the staff was great. It is not a hotel, but a corproate rental of an apartment. So no cleaning serivce daily and its a little bit different checking in. Wish there were better parking options. But we really enjoyed the rooms. towers are busy so elevators take some time. 24hr Wal Mart on site which was great.

Beautiful view, and the rooms were very nice and inviting, the staff was very helpfull an friendly, me and my hubby had a wonderfull time, and i will come stay here again next time i stay in chicago.

Great suites in a great location. Fully equipped luxurious apts/suites. No complaints.

Highs: Easy check-in, excellent security, good view Lows: Musty, smokey smell to furniture, towels. Furniture was reminiscent of a college dorm room. Having prepaid through internet for the fitness facility, it was severely disappointing to be told that the hotel would not honor the upgrade and that it would cost an extra $20.00 per person. Complaints/concerns were not addressed/resolved (being told to send an email complaint on monday does not constitute resolution of our weekend trip issues!)

Very well equipped apt, great location, relaxed stuff, decent price for the accommodations. These are apts suites in a big residential place. Great stay, no complaints.

I read the reviews on this place before I booked and thought that I knew what I was in for.... I would have to walk a long way to get to my room and that I may have to wait a bit for some one to come to the front desk. I looked high and low for a hotel within our budget in Chicago with an indoor pool to take our family on one of our first out of town vacations with 2 small children. We got checked in and had to weave our way through the very complicated 4 tower system and finally found our room. It was like a mini apartment- cool. Asked when we checked in about where the pool was and what the hours were and I was told that it costs $75 to use the pool!!!!!! The lady said it may be different for us since we are only staying a couple of days and to call in the morning. Easier said than done since there is no phone in the room and I had to look the phone number up on our confirmation sheet since it was not posted anywhere in the room. Talked at length to 2 different people who were very rude and unwilling to waive the $75 fee because "they can't just eat that kind of money!" We were then told that our stay would be immmediately refunded when we checked out #since we weren't going to stay there the full time we reserved it for mainly due to their rudeness and unwillingness to accomodate us even though our confirmation sheet clearly stated that there was an indoor pool as an amenity at no charge# Needless to say we had to go through more rudeness and a hour at the checkout desk and still did not get our stay refunded. Our travel agent worked with us once we got home to get our money back but DO NOT STAY HERE- VERY RUDE, inconvenient and poorly run facility!

This is not a hotel at all, it's time share condos. no help with luggage. the room as a block away from the entrance. security was very good. couldn't use luggage cart with out giving them your drivers lisence to hold until you returned cart, which was almost 2 blocks from room.Charge for luggage rack. no porter no asistance peple were rude

This wasn't a traditional hotel which I knew upon making the reservation (and I was hesitant to make the reservation because of that, but the size of the rooms was appealing to me because we have a 4 year old child and we were planning on having guests during our stay). These rooms are really empty furnished apartments that haven't been rented yet. The room (apartment) was great!! Very nicely furnished, a full kitchen, livingroom diningroom table, small bathroom, and bedroom, very secure and a nice view! I tried calling this place to find out where we would go to check-in after I made the reservation online (before we left home)... Nobody answered, called again awhile later still no answer... We figured we would just figure it out when we arrived... When we arrived we had to try to figure out what desk to go to and when we finally found it nobody was there- long story short we waited 45 minutes before the guy came to check us in :( I was very disappointed and upset.... If I could have cancelled our reservation at that point without a penalty I would have and stayed somewhere else. The guy didn't even apologize or offer us anything for having to wait so long- I had to ask and all we got was a slightly later check out time. So, the service upon arriving stunk, the room was great, the pool and gym were really nice but the pool did not appear to be child friendly at all- good for swimming laps... The location was good, but further than expected from Michigan Ave and the Shedd aquarium, parking was $20 in the ramp... I guess I would probably stay again because of the room size but I could also probably find something similar elsewhere...

The hotel room my girlfriend and I stayed in was a very nice little one bedroom suite. The room looked very clean and tidy. The full kitchen was excellent. We cooked our own meal in the room that night and it was nice to save some extra money. The view from our windows were great and it was a great room to stay in. The only problem is there was no free parking that came with the hotel. They had a parking garage adjacent to the building (which was convenient) and the cost was $26. Which by Chicago standards for overnight parking isn't terrible. However complimentary parking would have made it perfect.

The Habitat Corporate Suites is really condos that they could not sell, so they end up renting them out. The condo itself was very nice, well maintained, clean, and it had a great view. This place would be great for a couple or even a family to stop by Chicago and stay a while. This is not a good place to stay if one is only staying the night. It's more of like staying in an apartment than staying in a hotel. Big difference on service. The Habitat Suites really just give you a key and security card and that's it. A point of caution is once you get your key from the front desk, one has about a half mile or more walk and two security checkpoints to pass before getting to the elevator. Again, not somewhere you want to stay when you need to keep going in and out. Also, the parking is not included. One must park across the street is a private parking lot and pay a fee of $26 a day for parking.

Everyone was very helpful...Would stay again

I was attending the SFN conference in Chicago, and this hotel/apartment was great! Although there was no bus that took us to the meeting at McCormick place we were only a block away from the Crown Plaza which did have a bus. In any event the hotel is actually 4 apartment high rises (49 floors!). Pets are allowed in Tower IV which is the same tower that is rented out. Although I didn't have any pets I thought it was nice that they allowed people to have them. Keep in mind that it is an apartment building. So while you will have the amenities of having a kitchen and couch you won't have the continental breakfast or newspaper delivered to your room, but at a savings of 70-80 dollars a night I didn't care. Besides Starbucks was the next block down and there was a Potbelly restaurant near the entrance of the hotel. If you want internet there is a cybercenter that is free. However, you can have it in your room for the entire time for just $25 extra (not by day but by stay). In my case that amounted to $5 a day because I was only there for 5 nights. However, its not your typical wireless! They bring you up your own linksys cable modem! That means no sharing of bandwidth with any internet hogs in the hotel! You get the entire line dedicated just to you! My wireless did act funky one day so I reset the cable modem then reset all of the hotels default parameters so they wouldn't be upset that I had reset it, but after that the wireless worked great. I was never without internet though because they give you a wired line that you could plug into the gateway directly. Another person that I know in the hotel had a problem with theirs and they complained. Someone from the hotel replaced that one in about 5 minutes. It is also only located 3 blocks from the CTA subway system and 1 block from the Metra train system. The metra seems to only go out of Chicago so you might as well stick with the CTA if you plan on going around in Chicago. Oh they give you toothpaste too! It is too bad I can't post the pictures. I had a beautiful view of the Sear's Tower, 4 huge windows on 1 corner. It is just like in the pictures that you can see on the net except roomier. My friend's room was bigger than mine probably because he was with his wife, but hey it was great either way!Negative: Tower IV is a haul from the entrance - about a block's walk. Because it is an apartment they don't come and clean your rooms, but it didn't bother me since they have plenty of extra towels.

Location only satisfactory Signage for lobby not apparent and hard to find No daily hotel services, ie cleaning, morning coffee

This hotel/suite set-up was perfect. It was great to have a kitchen to prepare a meal. Coffee and Tea were left as well as sugar, which was a nice touch. The room(s) was large and clean, good water pressure, and they provided nice service. There was a secure check in and a doorman to assist in getting a cab. The hotel was very accommodating as I needed a late check-out and they were happy to allow it without an extra charge. I would highly recommend this property.

it was great, the only thing I did not like it, and I think it was because the place is a hotel/apartment building, the staff was not familiar with this situation and they were asking about "guess" registration every time we came in. We told them "we did the reservation for four on the room, if you want to stop this situation, just give four keys" of course they did not give us more keys (we received 2 keys) but besides that small thing, everything was great.

Great location near both Metra and Amtrak stations. A little difficult to locate as Habitat Suites is actually located in the Presidential Towers apartment/condo complex. There is no signage as such on the exterior of the building. Access to both the complex and each tower is by badge, however access to the room is by key. At 2 am someone attempted to enter our room using a key and was able to unlock the deadbolt. Luckily the interior security lock prevented them from entering our room. Very disconcerting for 2 female travellers!
