Narita Excel Hotel Tokyu

3.5 out of 5.0

The hotel has a bus that goes to and from Narita starting at 6:00 am. Plenty of time to get to the airport as nothing opens at Narita until after 7:00am. Nice atmosphere, gardens outside to take a stroll in.

The staffs were very helpful and friendly. My son loved the vending machines because he got the food that he wanted. The room was perfect for the two of us. The airport shuttle was on time.

Yummy breakfast buffet, worth the cost- very high quality. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent room, very firm beds, nice pillows. Perfect place to land or take off from when traveling thru Narita airport.the airport shuttle bus was nice and runs every 30 minute on the hour and half hour.

It was fine. Problem is you've got to take a bus to get to a store or anything. The town, Narita, is worth a couple hours to walk around. The hotel is cheap on Japanese standards.

We had a simple and easy check in and found our room quiet relaxing and comfortable, check out was just as easy as check in

The staff was friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The shuttle to and from the airport ran on schedule and had friendly service, The Japanese restaurant was outstanding with great service, even though we got there just before closing Great place to stay even if you didn't need to be close to the airport.

The Hilton is across the way and probably 25% to 50% more expensive. Redeeming factor for this hotel was the huge buffet breakfast and close proximity to the airport. We realized that if we had stayed at the Hilton we would not have had the free breakfast and would have paid too much for our room. So staying at this hotel proved to be the right decision. A basic airport hotel

Fairly good deal compared to other competitors nearby. Nothing is within walking distance for which, free shuttle bus services are available but just one per hour to the nearest city (Narita train station) and two per hour to the airport. Everything was above acceptable level, but not too exciting.

1/3 the cost when I booked online Great Indoor Pool and Sauna/Hot Tub (perfect retreat from the airport)

Bus at the airport to provide transportation to the hotel. The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated. Enjoyed my short stay.

Hotel is very nice and the best part was they provide free shuttle services making commutes easier

We had a very good stay. Very close proximity to the hotel and a lot of shops to go to for souvenirs. Sin city is also walking distance from the station

The personnel give an excellent service. The breakfast is delicious, very good variety. The hotel shuttle is very useful taking you to different places near the hotel. The hotel has seen better time, the rugs in the room and hallways are stained.

If you arrive after 2200h forget about getting anything to eat!everything closes !functional hotel to spend a night.

It was really good. Free shuttle service to the airport where you can take a train and take the skyliner to Tokyo

Had no problems with shuttle, room, stay. Everything was clean, amenities provided. Good stay after long flight from the US.

After staying at HIlton's and Marriott's throughout our stay in Japan, we stayed at this hotel on our last night. There was no availability at Hilton, and we wanted to be close to the airport. Upon arrival, my expectations were not good because two pictures behind the staff at the front desk had broken frames. We entered our room and all the drapes were closed, which made it almost scary to enter. Would be much more inviting if it was bright. The rooms were in total need of an upgrade as the furniture and wallpaper were gross. The mattress on the bed was very hard, and had no mattress covers. The bedspreads were old and dirty looking. I actually tried to see if the HIlton had last minute availability because I didn't want to stay the night. Room was supposed to be non-smoking, but smelled like smoke. We asked to be moved....staff very apologetic and moved us to a new room. This one also needed an upgrade. We had breakfast in the hotel. We were asked to prepay our meals. Food was terrible, which explains why we had to pay upfront.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Most speak English, nice atmosphere.

If you like a quiet, isolated place then stay here.

Hotel has free shuttle to airport 2x or more per hour where connections to express trains available; also free shuttle to Narita City train station & nearby very nice shrine and souvenir shopping street. Good base of operations for day trips--except for high season, very good prices. Hotel restaurant prices way high but adjacent convenience store allows easy self-catering. also, only hotel computer I used in Japan that had capacity to translate websites in full to English.
