The Legend is quiet and gorgeous with friendly staff and delicious foods on their buffet. The rooms are spacious with balconies (plural). Ours looks over a lovely coy pond which is popular in Thailand. There is good transportation on site and helpful staff to help plan your activities in Chiang Rai
This hotel was part of a package deal we had booked, was not dis-appointed. The room was very nice and spacious and loved the mesh canopy over the bed to keep out the bugs. Did not need it though. Food was good, service was good. Right by the river.
We stayed for just one night and arrived late, so had no time to use the pool. The room was big and had good amenities. Bit smelly though. No chance to use the balcony because of mosquitos. Dinner was good, but the barbecue needed more care because the meat was not entirely done. Restaurant staff was lovely. Good breakfast
If you looking for private, relax and natural i wanna say this is the best resort in town even service quality starting from the entrance til restaurant and housekeeping. They are friendly and helpful 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️ we love them and wanna be back if possible. Thank you all. Enfant.🎉🎉🎉
We had a newly updated pool suite which was huge and luxurious with a lovely kitchen and big living/dining room. The bedroom half had a big walk-in closet, dressing alcove, double sink vanity, and large tub with separate shower. The location was ideal, right on the river, but not far from town. Unfortunately our upgrade was the first of many at the property, so construction noise was a problem. They were building a new children’s pool and shower complex right next door the whole 5 days we were there. The river overflowed the banks and part of the resort grounds was under water. The spa was minimal, just ok and could use an update. Service was friendly. The included buffet breakfast was adequate.
A quiet resort in a nice setting right next to the river. So you can uderstand there are tons of mosquitoes everywhere, so had to keep the doors closed and as advice, you´d better sleep with with the mosquitoes net The room was comfortable although not for the occidental standards. The bathroom is a bit strange The Italian a la carte restaurant is a good choice, not cheap but very recommended
At the end of August/beginning of September I went on my honeymoon to Thailand. The second leg of our trip was to Chiang Rai. We stayed in this hotel, The Legend. We enjoyed this hotel because the grounds are beautiful. Very lush and green. When you first walk into the reception area there is a beautiful pond and a spirit house. The reception area is mostly open and allows for a nice breeze to flow in. We were welcome with delicious drink of tea. When we checked in we stayed in either the Studio or the Deluxe Studio. Walking in it was lovely because they put rose petals in the shape of a heart on our bed and left us some rambutan to enjoy. The room was spacious. There was a little entry area with a closet and a small vanity then you walked into the main room which had a king bed and small day bed. There was a HUGE shower area which was cool. And both the shower and the bedroom opened onto a little patio that overlooked a pond full of koi fish. We enjoyed that it was quiet at night. You couldn’t hear your neighbors or the other rooms that surrounded the pond. They have two restaurants but we only ate at their Sala Rimnam restaurant which is open air. This restaurant is buffet style and offered a variety of Thai and international foods to eat. At night they have a singer with an acoustic guitar. We really enjoyed this restaurant not only for the good food but the view of the Mae Kok River. Every time we ate here we chose to eat closest to the river bank. The spa here is great. We decided to check out their services when it was a thunder storm out rather than brave the weather at the night market. Their spa, Chiang Saen spa, is great! We booked an herbal steam and a couples traditional Thai massage. At first glance the spa looks small but it is so much bigger! The steam was for 20 minutes and it is in a big sauna like room. The massages were our favorite part. You put on a button down white shirt and purple Thai pants before laying down on the table. Then for 60 minutes (or however long you chose) your body is manipulated. They move your arms, legs, back, etc. and hit pressure points. I was so relaxed I had fallen asleep 3x during the treatment. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, appreciating the sights and sounds of the beautiful landscape that surrounded the beautiful hotel.
We just reactly stayed here for 3 nights which would if stayed anther night as there was more to do then we thought there was! The lady on the tour desk was Lovely great service and she combined two tours together to help us see what we wanted to see! The food taste lovely Abit pricy but good! We went low season so was very quiet but made it more peaceful which we prefer. Rooms were clean, big like having your own little house!, Big shower and excited sleep's as was very quiet! This hotel is in a great location to many of sightseeing and market's etc..
The Legend Chiang Rai is situated downtown Chiang Rai in a small road. The Hotel is old but well maintained. We stayed in a Deluxe Studio on the 1st floor. Wonderful view to the garden, the pool is small but big enough to enjoy a lazy afternoon. The food is good but expensive.
The staff here are very polite and will help you however they can. The lady on the tour desk was lovely and managed to combine a tour of the white temple and the golden triangle for us which was amazing so a big thankyou to her. We went in the quiet season September the 21st. Had a lovely time the room was always clean and they give you a little desserts each night. Two bottles of water daily which is plenty for two people. There is a shuttle service into the town or local market for 50 baht per person around £1.10 which is very good of them as alot of hotels.dont offer that. The grounds the views are stunning. The shower room is huge and th beds have mosquito nets round as a precaution not that we encountered any. Thankyou for a lovely stay. Will be a shame to leave here tomorrow morning. Everything has been brilliant:) id advise this hotel to anyone.
