We stayed here for four nights and it was the best hotel of our trip. Everything from the location, the service, the rooms was perfect. If all Shangri La hotels are like this then we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The concierge and reception staff were excellent and pleasant to talk to. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were immaculate and well cleaned. The only criticism was that for a such a large hotel, to only have 12 poolside umbrellas is very disappointing. Almost as if someone just forgot to address this. The breakfast was very nice and fresh and the staff were always helpful. The location is also ideal for the local markets and for the airport. Everything is within walking distance.

Stayed in this Shangri-la for 3 nights and had a good stay. The room is okay, sepperate tub and shower, big comfy bed but i missed the famous shangri-la Rainshower. The food was really good not only the breakfast had very good spread and quality but also both restaurants are top notch. For a Shangri-la i found the prices to be reasonable. The Pool is amazing and gives you this holiday feel, zipping mojitos at the pool great ! Then the cons uppon checkin they told me breakfast was included, i had booked with points and was surprised but happy! Next day no sigar, walk of shame and have to pay for the breakfast. In those cases they should have compt me one breakfast put the sorry's in a sack. When you zoom in closer in the room(513) i found a section of the bulk head was missing and electric wiring and a lots of dust was visible. Also in the pool area you will see there i a lack in maintenance. Some areas are just dirty and messy. Hower these are minor points great stay will stay again!

Stayed for a business conference nearly a week at Shangri-la Chiang Mai hotel and need to say that this hotel is not up to Shangri-la standard. My review is only refering the hotel itself as room and all facilities felt very old and used. Further next to the hotels highrise appartment buildings giving full view to the hotel garden and pool area. No privacy at all. Very positiv was my experience with the hotel staff. They where very friendly and offered a great service to all guests.

I was on a business trip to Chiangmai and stayed at the Chiangmai Shangri-La for a week. I am really impressed with everything the Chiangmai Shangri-La had to offer. The overall ambience was excellent, with tastefully decorated surroundings and impeccably neat facilities. The guest room was elegant, with a very functional and comfortable set-up; definitely somewhere you can get a good night's rest and go to the next day's activities feeling refreshed. Cleanliness was excellent, and our chambermaid, Fai, did a perfect job keeping the room spick and span everyday. A fresh bouquet of flowers and a cute elephant plush completed the hotel's thoughtful hospitality-:) The hotel had beautifully landscaped gardens and a spa-like quality in the early mornings with soothing background music playing in the lobby. Special mention should also be made of the following: The Chi Spa with its excellent service within beautifully constructed and nicely secluded interiors which gave a truly "out-of-this-world" touch. The Chinese restaurant on Level 1 which served great food with excellent service. Both were reasonably priced. The morning and afternoon teas served during business reception were very tastefully executed. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience during my week's stay at this hotel and I would definitely love to experience its charming facilities and hospitality when I visit Chiangmai again.

We spent three nights here and loved every minute. Upon check in, the staff ensured we were well taken care of. The room was well appointed, and the pool was a great place to float your worries away. Breakfast was a great start of the day and the staff during breakfast particularly stood out.

Executive floor guest, pick up with limousine, guest relation officer awaits at entrance and guides to lounge. Comfortable check in within minutes. Rooms comfortable and elegant furnished. Pool area no big deal, but main restaurant downstairs quite good. Overall the best town center hotel in Chiang Mai.

Quite reasonable price and good location. But not a luxurious experience you expect from Shangri-la brand. If you want to go to Nimmanhaemin often it is quite far, but very close to night bazaar, river and old town. Restaurant (buffet) not really good. I recommend eating outside. Good restaurants nearby anyway.

Our requirement intimated at the time of Reservation are completely taken care of. We got Pure Jain Vegetarian Foof. All the stff were attentive, courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and we would like to visit again

We stayed 4 nights and had breakfast at the Horizon lounge. Breakfast is very Chinese with poor offerings for European guests. Hotel facilities are very good but food offerings are only Chinese ignoring the excellant and healthy Thai cuisine.
