Lotus Hotel Pang Suan Kaew

The hotel is old but not bad. Swimming is excellent. Breakfast is not worth the extra bucks. Lots of good options outside the hotel

One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. I would definitely stay here again.

Great was right next to shopping center and big pool very nice

It was a nice getaway. Loved the location. Wish the pool had been operations. Two of three elevators were not working. Buffet breakfast not well stocked by 9:30 and some workers gone (supposed to be open until 10am).

Overall the staff was great, very friendly, and most importantly, the knew English. The shuttle picked me up at the airport, check- in was fast and efficient.. They have a nice menu where you can order room service from in the middle of the night if hungry. I recommend the Lotus Club Sandwich it was amazing. They have a great gym and a nice pool to relax in. Loved, loved, loved this hotel. OH and the best part is that u literally walk through the lobby doors and you can enter a mall.

There is not much around the hotel and not even decent walking spaces. The entrance is not even on the main road. Looks like a business hotel based on guests. It is connected to the Mall but it closes early. So at nigh, the options are to take the Red Taxi and go to the night markets. The hotel facilities like dining are very limited and overall quite depressing. Overall, good value since the hotel is quite cheap. But still, leaves much to be desired.

You can tell from the carved teak on every floor that this hotel was once pretty special, but it is now run down and tired. It is fairly inaccessible, located behind a large shopping center. There is no coffee shop or any food service beyond the breakfast buffet. No in-room safes. The staff is apathetic and service is poor. We would not stay there again.

This is an older hotel and the price reflects that. For the price I paid, its very good value for the money and people who complain that its rundown should just pay (a lot) more for a newer hotel. The room looks a bit dated but clean and the hotel has amenities of a 3 star hotel except no hair dryer. Make sure to pay a few more bucks and get a deluxe room. The location is great with a shopping mall next door where you can find all kinds of food from traditional Thai to western fast food type. It's a bit away from the night bazaar but you probably want to see it only once and a tuk tuk ride from the hotel to night bazaar is just a few bucks. I used to stay at a 4 star hotel near the night bazaar and the room cost 3 times more. Cons: the internet price is outrageous (150 baht or 5 dollars an hr). the mattresses started to droop and need to be replaced.

I visited historical centre and others touristics sites

We had a deluxe room and really like the location. It is connected to a shopping mall which is convenient for eating. We've been here several times.

Hotel is old the rooms look and feel very outdated. The service is not good at all; starting at check in there is no bell boy to assist with baggage. The hotel is very large and has a convention center. Location is good. I would recommend this hotel for a business traveler on a budget.

The Lotus was inexpensive, and had a decent breakfast buffet. We stayed in the deluxe rooms, which were okay. Our friends, however, stayed in the wing rooms ... and these were not okay. They were old and had bugs. If you are going to stay here (the price is right - and it's in a great location), definitely pay the extra few bucks per night for the deluxe rooms in the main tower. My other complaint is that there is not free wifi and what the do have is slow and expensive. There are lots of places with free wifi around the hotel - use that instead.

We enjoyed our stay and would hesitantly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very large and comfortable, with a nice view, although a little worn down. The lobby is very impressive. The breakfast spread was big, with acceptable quality. The hotel is next to a large mall (catering more to Thais than foreigners), which is nice because of the air conditioning and very cheap food courts. The downside is that the location isn't ideal for U.S. tourists. Be aware that there isn't much in the way of interesting shops and touristy things near the hotel. The hotel is a 10-minute drive to the night bazaar and other cool tourist-oriented areas. The hotel has a free shuttle (one-way) at 7 and 8 PM, or you can take a taxi (maybe $3 US each way).
