We arrived on our honeymoon and our room was well decorated with rose pedals in the bath and bed. Well done Aruntara staff!!! The hotel even gave us a complimentary massage as a honeymoon gift. Breakfast every morning on the river was so nice. We even used their free bikes to get around one day to see all the temples. My favorite staff members wer the day security guard who was the happiest and friendliest along with the gentlemen who served us breakfast each day. Just good quality people that the hotel hired. To me that can take an okay hotel to great any day. And I hope the morning waiter gets married soon to his fiancé who also works there at the hotel. He sounded very excited about it when talking with him. Like I said the staff made the experience great.

From the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left the Aruntara Riverside Boutique, it was absolute perfection! The service, location, rooms & facilities were all fantastic. Could not fault it if I tried. Was very impressed. Thank you to all the lovely staff :)

A very nice and modern hotel with friendly staff. There was plenty of security staff on an evening to make you feel secure. The rooms are modern and of a good size. The bathroom is large and modern with good water pressure in the shower. The hotel has very nice gardens which are well maintained. The hotel shows plenty of attention to detail. Breakfast was sufficient and located at the rear of the hotel overlooking the river. My only down point was we only stayed one night, it was good enough to stay 3 nights.

I love the hotel and the people that work there but the bed was dangerous. The bed was built on a platform which went from side to side in the room. You had to remember to step up to it and to step down off of it. If you got up during the night to go to the bathroom you're sure to fall.

I absolutely love the bed! It was firm enough for support but also very comfortable... the hotel was literally empty when we went, so it felt like our private property... the breakfast spread was great! Food was delicious and there was enough variety to fill one's stomach ... we didnt really check out the pool though as it was on the side.. oh and we borrowed the bicycles to cycle around town on the last day, it was a blast!

My wife and I stayed her for 3 nights while doing a tour of North and Central Thailand. The hotel is a bit far to walk to the Old City, so a Tuk-Tuk or Taxi is recommended. The hotel itself is very well appointed. The rooms are quiet and clean, although the shower, as it seems everywhere is SE Asia, tends a bit to the moldy side. The food in the restaurant was absolutely fine, and the hotels location right on the river made for a wonderful breakfast spot each morning. Staff was very helpful and well versed in English.

The hotel offered great service. The location on the river offered a quiet, serene spot for meals and or to relax in the evening. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My sister and I loved it and highly recommend. They do also provide a shuttle to the Sunday market and it is a 15 minute walk to the bazarre.

Stayed here with my family of two little girls, age 1 and 3. They loved this homey feel of being able to run out of the bottom floor gate and into the grass field garden. Pleasant, polite and respectful staff. Well organised hotel and a very nice Royal Project vegetable salad at the restaurant. Worth staying here!

The Aruntara sits on the Ping river and is quiet and serene. The staff could not be more lovely and accommodating. Having the nightly cocktail special along the river was a treat. Then for less than a $1 each you can be in the old town or the night market, which they will shuttle you to as well. Breakfast was well appointed with eggs, pancakes and waffles made to order. Dinner had a nice mix of Thai and western. We found it online and got excellent value for our money. Highly recommend

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The room is spacious with a large tub and a separate shower. The TV is small with very limited channels. I know you're suppose to be here to tour but when i get back to the hotel from a long tour, I'd like to relax and watch TV. Wifi was great (until the last stay, today) and so was the free breakfast. Not a lot of selections but it was sufficient to my needs. I mean who wants to pig out to start your day? Just be careful when eating breakfast because there are mosquitos flying around due to the river being next to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The hotel isn't near walking distance to attractions but they do offer a free shuttle to the night market at 7pm. They have their own security who helps you cross the street because the road does get busy. The reason why didn't give it 5 stars was due to their beds. It feels like you're sleeping on the floor. Only difference is that it's elevated and has sheets. The first night sleep was horrible and the second night was OK. Honestly, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again because of the uncomfortable bed since I need a good night rest. Now, if they have other rooms with a soft bed, then definitely, I'll book this hotel if I visit Chaing Mai again.
