While my sister & I were traveling through Chiang Mai we decided to stay at the Puripunn hotel & it was a choice well worth it. The Puripunn hotel is elegant, spacious and isolated enough that you feel very at ease and calm. The hotel rooms are all beautifully planned out and spacious. Fresh fruit bowls are delivered every morning along with the daily newspaper, you truly feel like luxury while staying here. The staff is courteous, professional and welcoming. The Puripunn is a 5 minute walk away from the incredible night market which is a must see, this is a must stay if you are in Chiang Mai!

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. It was elegant, warm and there was a wonderful Thai atmosphere and hospitality. The only drawbacks were the haphazard wifi service and the water in the pool was quite cold. It's not in the heart of the city but it's about a 5-10 minutes walk to the city which is constantly abuzz with tourists and stands selling their wares. So it was always wonderful to get back to the tranquility of the hotel. If you do go to Chaing Mia definitely plan on spending a Sunday because the Sunday-night market is unforgettable for its variety and artistic originality. It's enormous! We went with one suitcase and came back with two!

I wanted to stay at a boutique hotel, not a chain hotel full of bus loads of tourists but this hotel missed the mark: - very noisy aircon that made rattling noises all night long and made it hard to sleep. Seems aircon hasn't been replaced with modern ones - main restaurant is tiny, when I was there only the outdoor area was open and there is probably only about 8 tables.. this means buffet breakfast offering is equally tiny and boring. Having said that, the a la carte meals I ordered at a lunch were delicious - pool is very small, just good for dipping. During my 3 day stay didn't see anyone using it - many of the staff don't speak basic English which made communication difficult - due to remote location, you cannot just walk out to find shops etc, constantly reliant on tuk tuk or taxi for transport. On the other hand, I found the room to be quite charming and decorated in a nice Thai style architecture.

Been to a lot of hotels and this is the best hotel I have ever been to. The service is exceptional and the staff is at your finger tips whenever needed. Every night you get back to a beautiful flower on your bed. Had to leave early in the morning and they gave us a to-go breakfast box. Hotel is only 100 baht tuk tuk to the center of city and they offer free rides at night. Breakfast is a really nice spread, only meal we ate at the hotel. Don't hesitate, stay here when in chiang mai. It will be worth every $1. Only thing I wish would be the drinks by the pool to be a little cheaper. Drinks out in the city are 150 baht and the hotels are 250 baht.

We were searching for the special hotel experience in Chiang Mai, the pearl of all boutique hotels. Already at arrival we were completely disappointed. No specific welcome, a very narrow hotel, it all seems very unprofessional and at a 3-star level. The pool is about the size of a larger bathtub, the rooms are really small and nothing special, the bathroom is nice. The breakfast is rather poor and again all is so very narrow and crunched together. Staff looks like having been recruited from local 7 Eleven store. There is just plain nothing special about this “boutique” hotel and for us it was really a big disappointment since we expected for such a price and based on the good reviews so much more. If you search the special hotel, avoid the Puripunn Baby Grand Boutique Hotel, it is neither boutique, nor anywhere close to Grand and if you search for luxury, there is a long search to be done. Their Spa offering is reduced to 2 options only. Obviously the hotels in Thailand are all nice and clean, as well the Puripunn but there are about 1000 nicer places available in Chiang Mai than this one.

Hotel could use some updates but the people and service were impeccable. The free tuk tuk into town was an amazing compensatory perk for the slightly out of the way location. Ate at the restaurant and the food was superb (though pricey), and service was over and above. Booked some excursions with the desk and found them to be lacking in their ability to help with questions, mainly due to language barrier. Instead they just have us binders upon binders filled with tours and told us to read about seemingly hundreds of different trips, but couldn't seem to answer questions we had.

This hotel is a nice gem in Chiang Mai. The staff, James, Egg, everyone there was very helpful, kind, polite. I can't stay enough positive things about the hotel staff. The food was good also, great choices for the free breakfast. We were on the 3rd floor and had a nice room facing the pool. The staff also recommended great places to eat. I have to admit we stayed gone most of the time because the mosquitos were insane. I didn't experience many mosquitos in other areas of Chiang Mai but this place was insane. I was afraid of getting some mosquito borne illness. There were swarms everywhere. The staff had a zapper and sprayed the room while we were out but it was still insane. There is alot of water around the premise which apparently attracts the mosquitos. I would love to stay here again but because I am prone to bad reactions from mosquitos I will not unless they could assure me the mosquito issue is under control. I would recommend to the hotel that they get mosquito nets for the beds and more frequent tuk tuk service.

I was a bit worried about the reviews describing the "alleyway" to go through to find the hotel but decided to take a chance anyway. I'm so glad I did because when we arrived at the hotel after dark from a late flight, it was purely magical! The courtyard was lit up and beautiful and the entrance made it feel hidden, not sketchy or scary! Staff is very helpful and the brunch was amazing! Each morning we were greeted with a wonderful made to order breakfast and with recommendations on sights to see (which we would never have found ourselves)! The banana pancakes - yum!!! Rooms are very clean and the open air balcony gives the feel of extra lounging space! Really enjoyed my stay here and it was one of the most memorable parts of my two week trip to Thailand! Will definitely be back!

We loved this hotel. It is stylishly decorated, peaceful and just the place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. All the staff couldn't have been better. Our room was a good size & housekeeping was of a high standard. This hotel & its management have an eye for detail in every aspect. We met the owner who personally come round to say hello, all these things made our stay perfect.

Splendid service with high attention to detail. Smiley staff and they speak English and Mandarin well. They gave us a bottle of wine for our wedding anniversary. Staff is efficient and even remember to come up to our room to pick up our luggage on our last day checkout. Can't fault anything except that the pool is small and we require transport to get back to the resort.
