Coming back to our old home area we picked a hotel in easy reach of friends and relatives. Loved the location of this hotel on the old docks area. Near to Waterways Museum which is well worth a visit. Didn't eat in restaurant here (room service once - nice sandwich tho pricey and a minor mistake made with order but enjoyable nonetheless). Room was spacious and well looked after, staff were cheery and helpful. Enjoyed comfortable stay and made use of swimming pool. Not the cheapest we could have chosen but quality and comfort.
There was a very rowdy and foul mouthed bunch of young 20/30 somethings staying at this very expensive hotel . I was surprised that the staff didn't aak the people to keep the noise down or at least tell them to stop the disgusting swearing, I ordered a panini and it took over 35 minutes, which considering I was the only one ordering food was a bit long to wait . The staff were really friendly especially the breakfast staff. The breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from . Bed was really comfortable and spotlessly clean,
We always use the holiday inn for family occasions as it is always a pleasure to attend and the staff are always amazing. On our latest christening reception on the 17th Sep 2017 one of the staff in particular stood out above any one else for his absolutely lovely manners, so very pleasant and helpful. He is a credit to the hotel. This little gem is Bryan Perry. Keep up the good work my man you are the best.
I could not say anything bad about this hotel Room is nice and clean, comfortable mattress and pillows Breakfast room has beautiful views and good selection of food. The only thing they mis represent is the location It sounds like they are walking distance from Cheshire oaks but they are not . You need to drive.
I was really happy to be staying at The Holiday Inn as was my husband. The room was very comfortable and very accessible for my electric wheelchair. The staff were always helpful and the food was good and some gluten free choices. We did find the Breakfast to be very expensive and chose to go to Morrisons in town for a two for the price of one at the hotel. I was very happy with the canal and Boat Museum as it was lovely and clean, well maintained and ducks and Swans with fish living there. It was sooo dirty 20 years ago, I'm pleased that the hotel has brought more tourists to the area and work for the locals.
Stayed here one night as it's convenient for Cheshire oaks which is five minute drive away and Chester lovely room over looking the lock on the first floor. Room looks like it h as recently been refurbished and was tastefully done. Tea and coffee making supplies but a tad stingy with milk and biscuits, we had two double beds although there were only two of us,beds for us were too soft as we are used to a firmer mattress so a rather disturbed sleep but that comes down to personal choice. Dined in hotel restaurant for evening meal varied menu but a little overpriced also thought the same about bar prices compared to some other hotel chains we have been to. Breakfast was included in the room price we paid, and was excellent with lots to choose from cereals full cooked breakfast and fresh fruit .Parking was free but limited around hotel but there is an overflow car park with plenty of spaces.
Stayed here for one night last week, still a very good standard. The room prices have increased quite a bit,but we managed to get a room with breakfast for £89.Was a bit disappointed that theyve removed the vending machines from each floor as we liked to get a chilled water or even a snack after our night out.Hopefully they will have them in place for our next visit. The have revamped the rooms and very nice they are as well, liked the tv mounted on the wall and the colour scheme, A bit stingy with the biscuits in the room but plenty of tea and coffee.Despite a few niggly changes we enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful as well.
I was really impressed with this hotel. Great loactation and very high standards throughout. Helpful and friendly staff as you would expect, exceptionally clean, large rooms with all the facilities you would expect. This is certainly the best Holiday Inn that I have stayed in. If I am going to be picky, and this may be my own fault, I was working nights and got back to my room at 05:30am. My check out wasn't until 11:00 and so I tried to get a few hours sleep. I was woken at 09:00 by room service which obviously wasn't ideal. I questioned why the maids would need to come into my room if I was only booked in for one night and obviously hadn't checked out. I was told that I should have placed the "do not disturb" label on my door. My argument against that would be that even if I wasn't sleeping, to attempt to get into a guests room who hadn't checked out was just not necessary or acceptable. Anyway, lesson learned and it didn't really spoil my stay.
Staying at hotels all over the world this Holiday Inn was a pleasant surprise. It's situated on the waterways of Ellesmere Port and is beautifully appointed. Our bedroom had lovely views over the water and was very large and newly decorated. The bar and restaurant area is beautifully furnished and was a cut above other Holiday Inns we've stayed at. Breakfast was delicious and again overlooked the water. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We'd definitely recommend this hotel and we'll be back!
Lovely location and very quiet hotel, missed it the first time around the roundabout. Lovely lady on reception, room on the ground floor not a great view for us but nice decent size room and clean. Was worried as we over looked the car park but it was very quiet and we didn't get disturbed because we where at the end of the corridor. Will stay again as is a good location for Cheshire Oaks and Chester Zoo.
