Really good massage therapist - Kirsty. She seemed to hone in on all the areas needed for my benefit. My friend had a facial with her and she had just the right touch with the head massage. We would both happily recommend her.
Check in very poor. I basically was given the key card and not even clearly directed to the room. Luckily for me waitress, which I asked where is the lift assist me and showed me way to my room. No way I will be able to find it by myself. His name was George I believe. As for hotel like this I will expect more from reception. Room itself was noise as on ground floor however I was moved upstairs so enjoyable later. Cleanliness of the bathroom floor in booth rooms very poor... Black hairs everywhere... Room bit dusty to.. Food in bar area tasty. Drinks very expensive. Average of 6£ for a single alcohol with mixer. Bar team members very friendly and helpful. Need a bit more training on organisation when busy. Gym very small but you can pull workout out. Swimming pool big and looks amazing. Spa well looked after. Check out again no customer engagement I wasn't even asked how was my stay. Basics of customer journey are sadly forgotten.
We stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel while on our tour of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland recently and were pleasantly surprised to find our rather large room and bathroom had recently been totally remodeled. Actually, the bathroom was to large, it was probably larger than the guest room. With a raindrop-style shower head, quartz countertops and other amenities, this place was over the top in luxury. Even our evening meal in the restaurant was top-drawer nice.
I bought a voucher for the Spa taster day & afternoon tea for 2 for my Mum for her birthday. I went with her for this and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were very attentive, friendly & made you feel so comfortable. On arrival we were assigned to a therapist and taken on a tour of the spa and all areas were explained. We got changed into robes and slippers which were provided and enjoyed a lovely complementary Asian tea. After this we used the pool/sauna/jacuzzi facilities and and walked around the Asian garden. At 11.30am we went for our treatments - we both had the massage and we were in the twin room with a therapist each. The massage was perfect and the therapists checked that pressure was okay, etc. After this we went into the eatery for our afternoon tea - sandwich fillings were listed to us and we were able to amend one sandwich as we both didn’t like the filling. It was delicious and everything was fresh, especially the scones, they were warm from the oven. After lunch we used the facilities again and practically had the pool area to ourself. Some reviews make comment on the changing areas being tired compared to other parts of the spa, while this may be - it doesn’t effect your experience in any way & I think it is a bit picky. The only one thing I would say is the lockers only take old pound coins - which people don’t have any more, it wasn’t an issue as they do accept trolley tokens and you can borrow one of these from reception with a £5 deposit. Thank you to the lovely staff for allowing us to have such an enjoyable day. Overall a really relaxing & tranquil experience. Would definitely return!
I have been here for afternoon tea twice now and can honestly say it is the best I have ever had! A lovely selection of sandwiches, tasty desserts/cakes and great scones! Will definitely be coming back!
We had our wedding here a couple of weeks ago and we can't thank the Grosvenor Pulford enough for everything they did for us. Absolutely beautiful venue, all of our guests agree and will be returning themselves in the future. Emma, Alistair, Aaron and George were amazing and went above and beyond for us all, they were all so friendly and helpful for our special day and also for the whole weekend we were there too. Emma and Alistair literally made our day perfect and we're so grateful. Room was perfect and the food was exceptional!! Our guests still talk about how nice the food and how well organised the day was. Highly recommend this hotel not just as a wedding venue but also for a weekend away. Many thanks, Rachel & Michael
We were en-route from the north east of Scotland to South Wales to collect a puppy and stayed here on both nights to break up the journey. I had looked online for dog friendly hotels and found the Grosvenor at Pulford. I could not have been more pleased - some hotels claim to be dog friendly but are limited in their dog friendliness, not so at the Grosvenor Pulford. Our puppy was allowed in our room (in a crate as he is a puppy), in the bar where he joined us for dinner and breakfast in a specific area in the dining room which was amazing as we were anxious about leaving him and disturbing other guests if he started crying/howling. It is a fabulous hotel - I was so impressed with everything. The rooms are beautifully appointed with everything you need, ALL of the staff are kind, polite, helpful and really go the extra mile at every opportunity. The food and drinks available are great and there is a great choice on the menus, both at breakfast and dinner. If I have one minor criticism it was that our room was really warm and I couldn't get the air con to work and asked Reception to see if it could be fixed but unfortunately it either couldn't be fixed or I still couldn't work it. The windows didn't open very wide so it was very warm during the night - the pup didn't mind though. The public areas in the hotel are lovely and well decorated, the bedrooms are great and there is plenty parking as well as an outside seating area and gardens to stroll in. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others - if you don't like dogs you can go to the separate area in the bar/dining room and the rooms don't smell of dogs - the cleaning staff are very thorough and I was really very impressed. WELL DONE the entire team!
We arrived here in the lovely sunshine and from the outside the building looks quite impressive apart from the building work. The entrance is lovely and has obviously recently been refurbished. The route to the room was frustrating as some corridors are blocked off. We were in room 12 (which has not been refurbished). The room was small and as it has small windows it's quite dark. Every time the person above us moved in their room we could hear it. The decor is very dated and to be honest we wouldn't have booked there if we knew what the room was like. We had been in a penthouse in Chester the night before and paid the same and there's no comparison at all.
Last minute decision just needed a break, booked and arrived the same day! Ultra pet friendly, great food, wonderful ambiance, discreet but attentive service, blisteringly hot plates, spectacular rooms and facilities. We would have no reservations about a return visit.
