Not very good. Room and bathroom were not up to my expectation. It is very over priced in my opinion for what it is. I would not recommend it to anyone. I had planned a romantic weekend. This fell WAY short.
Liked the unique, old world style of the building and the rooms. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was amazing. I did wish that our room had a mini-fridge.

Nice location and quiet. The property is a little dated and in need of some repairs. Wine tasting was great and the room itself was spacious. The bathroom was small and needed updated.
We loved everything about the Wedmore Place Surroundings, staff, breakfast and the relaxed atmosphere around us. We had the best few days here in Virginia. Good luck for the future.
The front desk person, Matt, was really good. He was accessible and made us feel welcome. It’s a cute a place that I would highly recommend for couple or adult groups. I booked it on orbitz not knowing it was tied to a winery so brought our two children. They loved it because the place has a pool. The room was nice and the hot tub bathtub made it even better. Highly recommend but wouldn’t take our kids there…again.
The property is beautiful year round. We enjoy walking around the vineyards and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Yesterday several old planes flew overhead even a bi-wing plane! We had a lovely breakfast in the cafe and reserved a 1pm lunch at Gabrielle Archer Tavern. Rested, well feed, and satisfied.

The property was beautiful and it was an incredible place to relax for the weekend! Everything was great, the only thing to know beforehand is that cell service and wifi is very poor in the rooms. Its a place to unwind from daily life
This was our third trip. We look forward to every kind.

Stayed at Wedmore while dropping our daughter off at William and Mary and decided to do something different. So glad we did! The winery was lovely - wine tour and tasting included in the rate - and the hotel was top notch. The staff was attentive, the food delectable at the café and the room very cozy with all the luxuries. At first we were a little disappointed that there was no in-room fridge, but we never missed it. We would not have changed a thing. We will definitely go back!
I rarely say this but this place was awesome. It's rooms have European themes. The decoration is superb and authentic. The added bonus is the Cafe Provencal for dinner. And the triple bonus is the Williamsburg Winery literally walking distance away with surprisingly some very good wines. And the Tavern for lunch. So if you plan things right you never leave. Plus you can get a massage at the hotel. I'm definitely coming back!
beautiful setting on the WIlliamsburg Winery property. Other than the winery tour there really is not anything to do. they do have very nice spa services and a good restaurant on property. the pool is not heated so time of year will impact use. the fireplace in the rooms is not allowed to be used unless temperature is below 50, which was a bummer. again, very nice stay. great for couples but not really for families.
We enjoyed the romantic environment of the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and we will be making a trip back very soon.
I'm a bit confused as to who has been reviewing this hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and had a horrible experience. We booked this hotel because of the location, being on a vineyard, and the reviews but were both thoroughly disappointed. Below are the pro's and cons: Pros: Location-if you want to stay somewhere that is quiet and in the middle of nowhere, this is an ideal location Cons: The rooms are incredibly stuffy and windows cannot be opened in any room in the entire hotel. -Spiders, huge spiders, all over the hotel and the rooms (We weren't satisfied with our first room and moved to another to find the same issue). -Service: We couldn't find any one who worked there when we needed them. We went to the bar area upon checking in and couldn't find a bartender for a good 15 minutes. The "spa" which is actually a closet sized room with 2 beds, had no one working. There were also several offices with wide open doors and no employees. Finally, room service basically doesn't exist and, if you do want something, good luck getting it. It was just bad. -No cell phone service and our room phone didn't work -Robes and bedding are old, hard, and unpleasant Overall, the experience felt like a bad, scary, smelly movie. This is in no way a 4+ star hotel, in fact, we left the second night and had a much more enjoyable experience at the Holiday Inn Express that we ended up checking into.
