The buildings and rooms are charming, with ambience perfectly suited to colonial Williamsburg. Our hosts Alex and Tara were helpful and made us feel quite at home. The breakfasts were well-prepared and quite tasty. The parlor and dining room were comfortable and inviting, great places to meet and gather with other guests. The Cedars is a short walk to the restaurants and stores of Merchants Square. Our stay was short but perfect for our tours of Colonial Williamsburg and the Historic Triangle.
We hope to stay in the charming B&B again. We lived the friendliness, location and coziness the most.
Great location walking distance to W&M College and historic WIlliamsburg. Staff (Leroy) was great. Our only complaint was that the room was a squeeze, smaller and much more expensive than a standard hotel room.
The owner is very nice and kind. The staff is very helpful. Comfortable room and good breakfast.
The room was comfortable, though the heat was not working properly. We enjoyed being out of the main building in our own little "cottage". The breakfasts were tasty, with plenty of food. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate were available all day/night and occasionally cookies appeared at tea time! The location is superb if you are visiting Colonial Williamsburg-walking distance, no need to move the car. We enjoyed our romantic getaway!
The house is pretty. We lacked some instructions about the room's features and the town. Breakfast was ok, but I expected more.

Hey there. Thanks for the review. Glad we could make your stay enjoyable. I do apologize for the size of the room not meeting your expectations. One charm of a B&B is being in an old house with a personal attention to guests but at times that can mean a smaller room. Thankfully, we have other rooms with varying size. If we could have you again, please do call us up and we'd be happy to direct you to a larger room to make your stay more enjoyable! Thanks again!

Thank you, Isabel. I'm sorry for any confusion. Part of the confusion may have been your arrival 3 hours before check-in and your room wasn't completely ready so I am sorry for that confusion. As it is, we still allowed you to check-in early and we worked doubly hard to get your room finished as quickly as possible.I'm glad breakfast was "ok" but perhaps a more detailed explanation of what you were looking for would help other guests looking to stay here or somewhere else in town would be helpful. For instance, we do serve a plated, hot meal and are amenable to any special requests. Thank you again.
Thanks so much for the kind review! Glad we could make you guys delicious (and often nutritious!) meals and that y'all were close enough to leave your car and explore the town! Thanks again!
