We stayed there for 3 nights and had our breakfast and afternoon happy hours snacks there. The service staff was well trained, friendly, helpful and very efficient.as the club lounge is very high up at the 30th floor you also can have a great view down the the Anhoui bridge, which is also a good evening stroll.
Stayed with my workmates in a business trip, the staff is completely attentive and kind, many English speakers, the room offers a fancy and comfy experience with a wonderful view of the lake near the hotel, the restaurant cafe z provinces a nice Buffet with western, chines and Indian food, enjoyed it very much, the only thing that was a shame is we expected to see the performance of the band BlackJack we had the pleasure to meet back in 2015 in the bar of the hotel, Mooney’s, would someone know where this band is? Anyways would recommend the hotel 100%
The Shangri-La is a top class property but what makes it really stand out are the staff. Please send my special thanks to Yvonne Liu who always makes sure my stay is special. She even brought me a cake on my birthday. I would also like to thank Benita, Vera Luo, Penney and Hebe who also took special care of me on the 37th floor. Please also recognize Melvin Kong your executive chef who took the time to speak with me and make me a special order of dumplings at Cafe Z. What a nice guy :)
I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. The whole staff was amazing the entire stay. They surprised me with a birthday cake and provided complimentary service in the Horizon Lounge for me and my friend. The Cafe Z staff and food is also amazing. Particular thanks to Yaner and Yvonne for arranging a wonderful birthday experience.
I stayed four nights at the Shangri-La hotel in Chengdu. I had previously stayed at a Shangri-la hotel in Singapore last year. The hotel in Chengdu was outstanding. A very modern and luxurious hotel. We had a beautiful river view from the 28th follow. A large comfy room with really nice baths and shower area. An outstanding spa was also in the hotel. A great pool, sauna and hot tub was a part of the spa. There was also a fantastic weight room and workout area. I had a club level room so i had access to the club on the 36th floor. They had a great happy hour and breakfast which was part of the club level. The happy hour almost made going to a restaurant unnecessary. But with the great restaurants in the Hotel and the great places within walking distance you would want to explore that as well. The location was right on the river with great walking or running paths near by. The main charm of the hotel was the fantastic staff. Everyone from the club level staff to the restaurant to the check in staff and concierge was great. I travel alot and this was the close to the best if not the best hotel staff i hve ever seen.
Organised a 300 pax event there and the hotel management and service staff were excellent and paid great attention to all our requirements. I cannot thank them enough. Special mention to Judy and Aileen's team as well as Vagrent for all the help extended. Once again, thank you very much!
Excellent hotel. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. In particular, concierges Jeff and Jason Wang were fantastic - e.g.helping my partner (who doesn't speak any Chinese) to book trips to see the Big Buddha and other attractions.
Hotel is in a good location and has a very reasonable rate. General condition is good. Room was of the typical high standards of the chain albeit slightly dated. Breakfast was of a good variety with friendly staff who wasn’t fazed when we were there in a huge number.
Vagrent, the concierge, organized a two day trip from the hotel to Xiling Snow Mountain Resort. Had an amazing time and was able to ski a day while I was in China. The trip takes approximately 3 hours to arrive at the hotel up at the resort.
It's my first visit to this hotel, right at the heart of the Jinjiang River and the Pub street is just minutes across the other side of teh river. The Lan Kwai Fong Chengdu is just down stairs round the corner as you step out of the hotel. The proximity to the river banks allow a leisure walk both in the morning or at night, with different experience. In the morning, you enjoy the walk while watching the locals to exercise and dance in the parks. In the evening, you enjoy the bright LED lights lighting the whole river up and bring a vibrant environment. One thing for sure, nowadays, the rivers are well maintained and look so clean with almost no litter.
