It was a very beautiful and nice place to chill out Staff was really nice and helpful.the restaurant served really reasonable and great food.the owners were always on the site, but for the last few years it has been shut down,I think it has been shifted to agonda beach which is nearby. i have coming here for the last 15 years.
Actually we stayed feb 2015.. loved the place 2nd room back from front line. Staff were so attentive. Food was great. Nothing was 2 much trouble. Massage place up the back of the lane.. simple rooms but clean, hot water. Nice sun beds. Heading back in 2 weeks 2 palolem and headin directly for this place.
We arrived to find an empty plot of land, a nearby Cressida family member touting on the beach with a different named resort next door said our booking was actually with them and showed us to a shack with tarpaulin roof and lots of gaps which would allow mosquitos, millipedes and cockroaches freely into the room that was set a walk away from the beach with no AC, no breakfast, no hot water, not beach facing and no beachfront restaurant, basically the opposite of what we booked.
Stayed here in March 2016. The huts were cheaper than others I priced on the beach and much the same standard. The surrounding garden area is well looked after and they are 1 min down the path to the beach and road. Room comes with a bed, locker, cupboard and a clean strong mossie net with no holes, which is a plus! The bathroom wasnt great, the tap didnt work and water came pumping out of the bottom of the toilet. The owners are very quick to fix anything that goes wrong though, and stored our luggage free of charge in their house (a room) whicle we went to Kerala for 3 days, and also let us change our clothes in their house on the day we left. The owners were very nice and friendly. The restaurant at the front served good food and the waiter kept us front row sunbeds everyday. It wouldnt be a place for night time though and seemed to close too early. I would recommend these huts for price and the friendly staff, even though there were a few small issues.
My husband went along the beach to find us a place to stay. In comparison with the other accomodations he visited (who asked the same amount), this was the best place to stay. The huts are in the shade of the palm trees and have a lovely terrace with a hammoc and a swing chair. Everything clean and there is a mosquito net and free wifi. We stayed a week and had a wonderfull time. I can't say anything about the food because went out to eat every time.
I have been visting this place for last 10 years and I stay here minimum for 4 days a year. I have friends too, Raj , Joe are down to earth and will help you if you need anythings. Rooms are clean, food is good and decent priced.
Arrived in the evening after looking at a few different places along the beach and thought this one seemed the best value for money with its big rooms, hammocks, swinging chairs and pretty lights outside the rooms. However upon getting ready for a day of relaxation on the beach the next morning and we noticed that my boyfriends watch had been absolutely demolished. It was obviously something bigger than bugs as one strap had been chewed off altogether and the metal buckle was nowhere to be found! Immediately started checking the rest of our belongings and found droppings in my backpack where I'd had a small bar of dairy milk 😞 Obviously decided we didn't want to stay the 4 nights we'd planned and checked out there and then. No apology or any sympathy from the staff, just asked for the money for the night we'd stayed. Awful hospitality considering that one night there has cost us a tenner for the room, an expensive watch and a bar of dairy milk!
Me and the wife have eaten in a lot of shacks but the food in this one takes some beating. I know everyone says that about their own individual favourite but honestly give it a go its up there. Fillet steak meals 300r (£3) a meal, thai green curry and a red snapper meal all excellent. Mahesh is an excellent helpful waiter and the rest of the crew are friendly and good as well. Excellent meals at cheap price. Next to cafe del mar on Palolem beach. TRY IT
My mother and my sister stayed at that place and were deeply disappointed. As I organized everything for them in advance and as they don´t have a tripadvisor account, I´m writing this review with them now. My family stayed at that place for 6 nights and although I booked the hut for them far in advance they had to move to another room FOUR TIMES!!! So instead of having a pleasant stay, they were busy packing and unpacking over and over again. After unpacking everything in their third hut they found two rats in there. My mother immediately called someone but although they said they´d send someone, nobody came and even after a second call they couldn´t care less. My mother didn´t want to stay in that room and so she asked the night guard for help. He gave them the keys to another hut then and they had to shift at 10.30 in the evening!!! The hut they stayed in then didn´t have warm water. As my mother was really unsatisfied with her stay, my friend and I contacted the owners and asked what was going on. But instead of apologizing, they were rude and agressive on the phone. In the end I told them that we don´t want to pay the full amount as we were deeply disappointed and we didn´t get the expected service for our money but there was no way of them coming around. For us even an apology would have been enough but: NOTHING! This is not the way you should treat you guests! Hospitality = 0!! We would have loved to recommend your place but we definitely won´t.
Visited palolem on the 21st and 22nd. My first trip to goa. The beach is beautiful and very scenic and the hotel is located right at the beach. Close to all amazing shacks. Word of advice: stay away from cafe del Mar. This one is no match to the one on baga. Don't be mislead. The cottages are warm and cozy. Bathroom could be improved. Leaky taps were a problem. Also, it's very green which is great but attracts a lot of mosquitos. Please take lots of odomos. All in all, great value for money and I'd make a repeat trip definitely!
