Beautiful property inside and out
Would return again. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The property is located close to C’ville and the historical sites.
We had a wonderful stay at Boar’s Head for a girls weekend. The staff were friendly, but we did have some issues with food service at the restaurant by the golf club. The room was nice and comfortable, but for a resort like this I was surprised see frayed carpet, a dinged up vanity, and a cracked/damaged accessories in the room. We did love our time at the resort and do plan on coming back!
Nice locale and setting, but getting very tired. Need to update the carpets and bathrooms.
Room Service took to long to answer the phone and to deliver. The renovated Mill Pond Restaurant has lost a lot Of its former ambience and now looks too much like a chain restaurant.
A great deal of noise transferred from the people above through our ceiling - we heard every footstep they took. In addition, the ceiling mounted light fixture rattled with every footstep, adding to the annoying noise. This greatly diminished our ability to sleep.
Wish we had more time to spend on the resort grounds.

Enjoyed running on the grounds and walking atmosphere. Lunch was terrific in the restaurant. Great visit and retreat.
The hotel room was spacious and clean; the bed was very comfortable. We had the pleasure of eating dinner and breakfast in the Hotel and both meals were quite guide. From check in, to the waitstaff in the restaurant, all of the staff were very pleasant and professional.

The grill was terrific, the staff kind, knowledgeable and entertaining. Loved waking up to the lake. Wish we had more time to enjoy this great escape!!
My wife and I had a fabulous time at the Boars Head Inn. The staff were helpful and attentive, the food at the restaurant delicious, and the location beautiful and peaceful. A perfect place to spend our 30th anniversary!
To say the Boar's Head Inn is charming is an understatement. It is (nearly) Southern Comfort at its best. The amenities at the sports complex are very impressive, and staff are responsive and helpful. Everything is done in a way to make guests feel most comfortable and 'at home'.
The Boarsehead was beautifully adorned for the Holiday. The fires were burning and the lights and garland were up. The staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was so very peaceful. A great place to stay for the holidays.
I scheduled an overnight for me at the Boar's Head Inn in Charlottesville, VA on Tuesday July 22, 2014. With taxes and fees (160.00 + 20.81) the charge to my card was $180.81. I found out this was a standard Boar's Head Inn room and according to the desk clerk the charge for that room is $148.84. The Boar's Head Inn was well worth $148.84. Rodney

We're so sorry about the noise you encountered on your recent visit with us. We have discussed this with Engineering and are looking for a remedy to the situation.
