This hotel was convenient but very dated. The picture of the front is deceiving. Very 1970's and rooms need to be updated.

Conveniently located to everything. Within walking distance, which is great. However, I did not sleep a wink due to rowdy kids partying all night. Had to download a noise maker app to blast so my kids could sleep.

Room was fine and allows easy access to the UVA campus. The bed, however, was terrible. Breakfast was fine. Overall a decent value.

Great location and view of UVA campus. Walkable to UVA campus, easy access to buses as well as free shuttle around campus.

We were only in town overnight this location met our needs perfectly. It is right down the street from the University.

The evening desk staff were very friendly. The woman at the desk in the morning couldn’t get me out the door fast enough. The room was fine - beds are comfortable, bathroom is okay - pretty standard and for the price it works. The biggest thing you need to know is that the front windows of the rooms are sieves. You can literally hear every word of someone walking down the hall. Fortunately it was a quiet evening and the cleaning staff were awesome and very friendly.

Positive points: Clean and well maintained hotel, pleasant staff, well maintained breakfast. Negative: The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. Our bodies hurt for several hours in the morning, No A/C - (it was January and the night temp was in the 40's but our room was 76 degrees! The lobby must have been 80 degrees. We were told that the hotel's chiller was off and to turn the room unit off to make it somewhat cooler. It lowered the temp 1 degree. Two miserable nights stay.

Reasonable price and accomodation is a little above what I expected, parking, good size room, very good staff experience. Was impressed to find a modern well equipped gym that you wouldn’t expect in hotels with this rate.

This is 2 star hotel not what I expected but close to UVA

Outstanding assistance from the front desk: cabs, directions eating choices

The staff was pleasant. Breakfast had a nice variety. Also liked that the breakfast area had space for people to eat in. Room was a nice size. The room had a mini fridge and microwave. I had one little issue but the staff fixed it right away. I'd stay here again.

I chose this hotel because it was convenient and low-priced. Friends had stayed recently so I knew it was acceptable. I wasn't expecting much. The bed was comfortable. The sheets and duvet were clean and nice. There were pleasant products in the bathroom, good coffee in the coffee maker. Negative: The air conditioner wasn't great at handling Virginia summer humidity. The room was cool, but the air still felt damp.

The breakfast was awful! There was a girls basketball team staying there and there were no available tables, there was a lot of empty serving bowls, food spilled all over the counters. It was a mess!! The attendant didn't seem to care that stuff needed to be refilled.

The shower didn't work. When I complained about it at the front desk the attendant simply smiled and said another guest just came and said the same thing. They need to get it fix. The sheets and blankets were really dirty. The beds were very uncomfortable. The mattress must be really old because you can feel the springs and you sink when you lay down. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Excellent but bathrooms need to have an exhaust fan!

An acceptable flop for a night at Wahoowa. I understand it is slated for demolition. This place hasn't been the same since they closed the Panda Garden...

Staff was very friendly and customer service oriented. The rooms were very clean and I would recommend the hotel highly.

This was our 3rd time staying. First we were sent to a room that had broken furniture and was not cleaned. Called downstairs and was asked to come back to front desk. Given a new room, without any type of apology for sending us to the other room. Dragged all our luggage to the new room, along with our son in his wheelchair. I had registered 2 adults and 1 child. There were to enough towels for all of us. This room had a terrible air leak at the door and the side of the room by the door was noticeably colder. Went down for breakfast the next morning around 8:30 am to find only juice, fruit and danishes. Nothing hot and no cups for coffee. And no way to access the tables to eat with our son's wheelchair. Was told later that staff had overslept and that was the reason for the lack of warm breakfast. Still not happy about not being able to get to tables to eat with my son in his wheelchair.

This hotel is second to none for location when visiting your UVA student.
