The room didn't look like it looked online. The TV didn't work and someone told me they was coming to fix it and never came. The bed and mattresses was old and it felt like something crawling and biting me all night and only two lights worked in the room. I thought I heard a gunshot and I was scared to leave. The people was loud and I woke up to roaches crawling around. I was so disappointed for what I paid for the room and I didn't enjoy it.

There was no service To clean the Rooms daily. The pool was good but no chairs to set end. The ice machine not working or the machines

Not enough electrical sockets in the room and at least 2 didn't work at all. When we came into the room the air was completely off so it was very hot and took a good while to cool down, even with the AC on full blast. Found a little bit of trash behind the nightstand and a half-full bottled water bottle under one of the beds. Refrigerator wasn't that great, didn't cool things down as well as one would expect. I'd booked the room under the impression that there would be a microwave in the room (I may have misread this, though). At any rate, no microwave in the room. I needed a microwave at around 11pm and I had to go down to the front desk and the clerk had to physically let me into the lobby because they lock the front doors at night. One of the main reasons I'd booked at this hotel was the free breakfast - however when I was in the lobby using the microwave I noticed a sign that said you can't take food out of the lobby at lunch. This is very inconvenient, I don't want to be stuck in the lobby to eat breakfast and I see no reason why guests shouldn't be allowed to come in and get breakfast and take it back to their rooms. Because of this, and this alone, I didn't even bother going to breakfast. The Wi-Fi is free but not particularly strong and kind of slow. It wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed at, but I do feel I paid too much for what I got. Positives - we didn't use the pool, but it was nice - pretty big and appeared to be super clean, and it goes to 8 feet which, in my experience anyway, is hard to find these days. I also noticed plenty of places to sit around the pool if you didn't want to swim. Staff was friendly from what I could tell with my interactions with them and check-in went fast. Parking is fine and the hotel itself is pretty easy to find and right off the interstate. Not a pretty part of town at all, but I didn't feel unsafe, nor did I hear any excessive noise while we were there.

I liked the stay, and I will refer this hotel to friends.

A Simple place to rest and places to go are nearby.

Staff friendly, room average, too high of a price for this hotel though

For the cost the motel was satisfactory. The exterior of the building needs some real work. I'm glad the interior of the room was better. The shower/toilet area is really cramped, but there was instant hot water, a nice surprise. If you want an inexpensive room near Charlotte Speedway, overlook the outside of the building.

very good stay for value paid. didn't take long to get accustomed to train going by every half hour or so at night. Bed was very comfortable with six large pillows! Breakfast was good but no waffle's..

I Personally Had No Issues! Many Of The Times I've Noticed That People Will Say That Positive Reviews Are The Owners Submitting Them. This Is Not True In My Case! I Arrived Around 1 In The Morning And Used The Safety Window To Check In. The Room Was Nothing Super Special But Neat, Clean, Had Great A/C, Refrigerator And Clean Fresh Sheets/Towels, Etc! At $79.00 Per Night I Was Thoroughly Pleased! The Continental Breakfast Had Begals, Cream Cheese, 7 Types Of Cereal And Whole Milk. (Not A Fan Of Whole Milk, I'm More Of A 2% Kind a Guy) There Was Also Muffins Which Included Banana Nut Bread! That Was AWESOME!! The Blueberry One's Weren't The Bust But Hey, 5 outta 6 Ain't Bad Right? The Staff Were Totally Cool And Friendly. I Think It's A Family Owned Establishment And You Can Tell They Took Pride In Their Work! Very Close To Charlotte Motor Speedway (Like A 5-7 Min. Drive). All-In-All One Helluva Trip And I'd Use This Howard Johnson Inn Again With Absolute Confidence! Thank You So Much For A Pleasant Stay!! Later Guys!

sorry to say but this was one of the worst places I have ever stayed for the money that i paid. First the room had not been cleaned. The comode was broken and would not flush. Towels was so small we had a hard time taking a bath. The sofa was broken The sheets on the bed was soured and smelled awful. room was molded smell The owner of the motel gave us some more sheets , and was very nice about the bed. we had to go over to the office and get clean towels. If there had been any where else for us to stay I would have checked out the minute I went into the room.
