Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Charlotte I-485 at Hwy 74E

Good location, quiet. The amenities were fair, hall's and exterior were somewhat shabby. Fair experience overall if needed for a noisey and active family like mine. Breakfast was just o.k. Staff was super helpful.

I've stayed in this hotel almost 2 weeks over that last year. It continues to go down hill. All the carpets are stained (in rooms and hallways), hallways are never vacuumed, the elevator is at a point where you don't even want to ride in it, dirty and broken tiles, there is trash all over the back parking lot, and the breakfast was mediocre at best. The staff doesn't feel it's their problem. Fortunately a few days later I stayed at a Country Inn and Suites in Burlinglington (Elon) NC and saw how a Country Inn and Suites should be run. The Matthews NC hotel is just not up to to the standard. I will not be staying there again.

Our family stayed here after staying at same chain in Ashville. Thought we would have as good an experience. Sadly this was not a good place. Remodeling on the same floor, but room we were given should have been included not rented. No hot water, shower had hot/cold mixed up when the lukewarm water finally came out. Faucet nearly came off when using diverter to take a shower. Told desk staff and nothing was fixed. Orbitz should have disclosed the renovations in booking information.

Stains on chairs and rugs are not going to make guests return. Fitness area was bare bones. Breakfast bar had sausage one morning and no meat at all the next. Seems strange to me. No ventilation or weights in the fitness area. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Thanks for that.

Best value for money. Very clean, Very close to the highways, good gym, good breakfast.

It was a good stay for the price! It was clean and quiet!

1. Under construction. 2. Pool area closed for repairs. 3. Entrance blocked with saws and materials. 4. Give an room that was not cleaned. 5. Replaced with a room that had occupants! 6. Seemed in convinced when told of the room situations. 7. 3rd room was finally unoccupied ( 3rd time is a charm apparently ) 8. Morning breakfast had construction dust all over fruit and trays. I didn't even eat and left to eat elsewhere.

We come to Charlotte once or twice a year with our 2 young kids (5 and 3 years old) and this time we had a great stay at the Country Inn and suites. It is not the newest hotel but it was great - everything was clean, staff was friendly, and the indoor pool was a big hit. The rates were reasonable for our almost 1 week stay. I will absolutely look to stay here again when we come back to visit family next year.

MY EXPERIENCE AT THE HOTEL WAS VERY GOOD. HOTEL IS LOCATED ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE FROM I485. PLENTY OF FAST FOOD AND SIT DOWN EATING ESTABLISHMENTS.

This was a nice hotel and got a great rate on the room. However the fee for bringing you pet was $50 which was almost the same price as the room. Was very disappointing as most hotels charge a small or take your card for "incidence" fees only. Wouldn't stay here again because of this.

Typical stay at this chain. Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Free breakfast. You can't beat it.

Staff at hotel were friendly and accommodating. Hotel had nice touches like cookies/coffee station for travelers as well as dog biscuits for 4 footed guests. Breakfast was very good. I definitely would recommend to other guests. The only negative, which is not the hotels fault, is that there is an adult entertainment venue across the highway.

We were welcomed with hot cookies and chili. Attentive staff. Second year we have used this hotel. This is a dog friendly property about which I found nothing to complain. But allergy sufferers beware. Exercise area and indoor pool.

that staff will do what ever they can to help and do it with a big SMILE!

Hotel was nice and clean, front desk person at check in was very friendly and helpful. Hotel location pretty close to restaurants.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, but the hotel was situated right across the street from a topless club which was a little sketchy.

It was a great stay.. Nice and relaxing.. very quiet as well

the first few days were ok The pool was too cold. The breakfast stunk but the staff was ok until the last day. We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 am exhausted from the day with our bags only to find out that the elevator was not working after standing there for 15 min. The man at the desk did not bother to inform us, when we spoke to him about it he said he would find out Another 15 min later he returns walks right by us without saying a word, so I went up to him and he said oh its not working we willl call someone. I said what are were going to do with our bags and such, his answer was I dont know. My 65 year old husband who has emphizma and I a 63 year old had to carry all of our things up the stairs. "Frank" did not even offer to assist in any way. He just stood there and watched without one word. THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER......

very comfortable. Accepts pets so that was a plus. Nice breakfast. The room wasn't clean upon arrival so they immediately upgraded me to a suite! The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

I found a long blonde hair on the bed spread and hotel is on a side road...no sign on side of road...so I had to rely on GPS after exiting off 485
