I LOVE this hotel. It feels like an apartment and it is so spacious. The location is great and the beds are so comfortable. It is really clean and they offer FREE LAUNDRY. This is the only place I like to stay in within the Charlotte area. I have visited other hotels and non of them can compare to this one.

I purchased a hotel/concert package and this hotel was included. I had not idea I would be getting an entire kitchen with my stay until the day before we flew out. Once we landed we went to the grocery store to purchase our food for the next 4 days to save on money. Upon arrival the hotel staff was very friendly and super helpful with the area. There is an area to do your own laundry, purchase groceries you may have forgotten or workout in their gym. Each room has a DVD player and flat screen TV. We "borrowed" movies from the cabinet that also has blenders, knifes, and board games to help enjoy your stay. The room was very clean and had a great air conditioning unit. The hotel is not an any area that would be easily accessible unless you have your car with you. Since we flew in for the concert, we decided to take an Uber everywhere. There drivers would get lost turning into our hotel because the map is a bit confusing. There is nothing around the area to eat or attractions, unless you drive to a location. That is my only complaint about the hotel. Everything else was wonderful!! I would stay at this hotel again, but in a different state.

with a bit of everything. first great staff. second a mini gym where you an get a basic workout. free coffee and an snack shop with a few machines for laundry. all well maintained, separate, and practical. close to shops, the highways, and the university.

This place is great and the staff was friendly and our check in was very quick and easy. BUT, I hardly slept the whole night because that mattress was horrible! So bad that I could never stay there again, even though I was very impressed with the hotel.

I went on a business trip and took my family along. The trip involved 1,500 miles of driving. On the way home I got sick and had to stay in hotels after dark. When I reached Charlotte only 300 miles from home I still couldn't make it. I looked at reviews of hotels and this Candlewood came back with a A+ for cleanliness. The reviews were right! No bedbugs, mold, dirt anything in sight. The staff was super friendly and concerned about my health. They gave recommendations on eateries and made sure to mention the in house laundry and said if I needed help to ask for it. I really don't have another reason to go to Charlotte but I think I will just to visit this hotel. Well done!

It was clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Anything you need is within reach. Overall I enjoyed this place and will return next trip.

I like the amenities and the room was attractive. Very comfortable.

The Candlewood at the University is well located for our nearby family. We like having the refrig for our breakfast supplies and the stove for making tea when we return at night. A quiet neighborhood. Very kind and attentive staff.

I try to stay at this hot anytime i come to Charlotte. Its clean, very quiet, serves its purpose

Hotel was great. A few things could have been wiped over (like the mirror and toilet) but aside from that the room was perfect

Clean room and great value. Conveniently located to the University of North Carolina - Charlotte.

very comfortable bed, nice shower pet friendly with free laundry. A quiet hidden gem..

Late check-in followed by a sadly uneventful and quiet evening. Free laundry mqchines, pet friendly and cheap!

The staff were friendly and helpful, room clean, and I will stay there again next time I'm in Charlotte.

The place looked like it needed a good cleaning. It was not a bad place, I guess it's just wear and tear from extended use. The bed was hard. The room needed some additional cleaning- it look like blood on the curtain;the bathroom door handle was broke;the door to our room only shut if you slammed it. For the money it was ok.

Just there one night to go to a car show. Would like to have had a pool, but know it didn't before I went.

The staff was very pleasant. Only good things to say about Jose' but the overall accomendations needs tremendous improvements. Summary: Houscleaning: Not available unless your staying 7 days (ridiculous!). Room: Ok, if you like burning up during the summer months, they are cheap with supplying cool rooms. Traveler beware!!!! take your hard earned money to another establishment if you want service...or simply call the hotel and ask plenty of questions before you book with them.

Great experience. 2 second check in and check out. Friendly staff.

First floor was under renovations was not aware before making reservations otherwise I would have gone to another hotel. Paint smell came up thru rooms, could not use exersize room nor laundry room until the 2nd day there due to renovations.Perhaps if It was a week or two later then I would not have encountered this problem. WISH I KNEW The staff was GREAT!!!!

This is a great hotel. This was my second time staying there and couldn't be happier. It is a bit off the beaten path but the price and ammeneties make up for it. HIGHLY RECCOMEND.
