We’ve stayed at the Residence Inn in Charleston two different times, & both times our stay has been great! We have 4 young kids & a dog, so we’re not the easiest to accommodate in a hotel. Everyone at this hotel has been very helpful and kind, especially Monica. The rooms are large and clean, & the breakfast is tasty. We are thankful for a great hotel experience, & we will definitely stay here again!
This was our fourth stay at this property in the past 5 years. It has always met our family's expectations for providing a relaxing and convenient place to stay during our trips home to WV. The hotel provides a clean, quiet escape on a hilltop only minutes from downtown Charleston. Even though it is only minutes from the heart of downtown Charleston, you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Three times during during our most recent week long stay we saw deer on the land surrounding the hotel. The staff is always friendly and they go out of their way to assist you in any way during your stay. The free breakfast is substantial and there was ample seating available for our family every morning. We would never think of staying anywhere else when in the Charleston area.
There was not the smallest thing to complain about . Zero. The staff with whom I had contact were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. In particular they were: Bryce and Monica at the front desk, as well as Charlotte who manged the dining functions. Speaking of dining - most Residence Inns over the years have gone cheaper on what they provide for the social mixes. The night we were here was the " sweet" night. Usually, there are a few cakes, not very good, and some cookies. Not at this hotel. There were tortillas with a hot sauce, plus a few excellent cheesecakes, plus some delicious cake slices. I usually do not partake because I find these desserts not very good, but I had some of everything because it was all so good. The room was immaculately clean. There were nice assortments at breakfast including a nice variety of fruit which is also becoming more rare at Residence Inns. In summary: Excellent hotel with superb staff.
It locates on a very quite but not far away from the interstate highway. Hotel staffs are very nice & friendly. We only stayed for one night but definitely will go back there if we pass by the area. Breakfast is simple but enough for choices.
I stayed at this hotel in a two-room suite with my wife, daughter and son-in-law on two overnight occasions recently coming and going to Ohio. The hotel seems fairly new. It is bright and clean. Everyone who works there greeted us and many asked after us. The suite with two separate bedrooms, each with its own bath, was suitably large, one bedroom a bit larger than the other. The beds and bedding extremely comfortable, and the only complaints I have about the bedroom was 1) that there was no moisturizer and the room quite dry with the excellent air conditioning, and 2) that the metal bed frame stuck out beyond the mattress and I got a painful scape because the frame was hidden by the bed skirt. The breakfast as acceptable. Nothing special, but ample and varied with all of the usual hot and cold foods one finds at Residence Inns. I find Residence Inns by Marriott vary widely in quality, but this is one of the best I have stayed in and recommend it if the price is right for you.
We spent one night here and this was by far one of the nicest, cleanest and most comfortable Marriott's we've been to. It was just like a small cozy apartment with all the dishes, nice appliances, fireplace and so much more. The staff were very kind. We had pizza delivered just so we could stay in and enjoy the room. The only downfall was that someone brought in a large noisy dog that let out some loud barks during the night and early morning. They do allow service dogs but I don't think this was one of those. A good continental breakfast is offered in the morning. We would gladly stay here again if in the area.
Stopped here for one night as we traveled home from Michigan. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency while visiting family in Michigan so this trip home was a bit tense. We were glad to finally get to the Residence Inn for the night stay. The front desk person was very polite and nice. We were actually given an upgrade to the room we had reserved. I believe this was probably because those with reservations had already checked in and they figured no one would be requesting that room but whatever the reason I appreciated the upgrade as it gave us room to spread out and better relax. I wish I could have stayed for several days. They have a food night on weekday nights and this night was pie night. That sounded delicious but not dinner so we ordered a pizza. However there was more than pie and we could have just stuck with their offerings and been fine. The pizza took over an hour and was horrible.
This is a very nice Residence Inn, and i would highly recommend it over an Embassy Suites. It is super clean, three stories, all internal. They were very nice and picked us up at the airport when a cab was unavailable. Breakfast is well done and satisfying. Highly recommend
Upon arrival My husband and I were greeted by the assistant general manager he was pleasent. The room was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. The real star of this hotel was the lady that worked the desk on Wednesday evening （I forget her name） She was very kind, helpful, and had a smile in her face everytime we saw her！ The room had everything you could think of for a long term stay from dishes, pots n pans, silverware and more. Thank you for a quick overnight stay.
This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a great location, close to downtown and with mountain views. The Marriott has friendly staff and good amenities. Pet friendly. We would come again if I'm the area.
