The hotel is VERY outdated. Needs major renovations, but the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Questionable activity outside of the hotel. Strange sounds and phone calls in the middle of the night

Good price, but not happy with the 1st room. Rm 318. Walked into room olny to discovery used and not cleaned. Non smoking floor smell of weed. Staff need to clean up afer using room. I was tried after a long ride I wanted to rest. I just stayed in the same room 2 weeks ago and I was happy. I had a good night sleep. The 2nd room was good. I was not happy

Room was great for the price in comparison to the prices of the other hotels. Its very location friendly. Close to everything. Comfortable beds, free internet and parking, mini fridge. Mostly clean. My only issue was with the bathroom. It could have been cleaned better. Tub still had hair on the walls and tub floor was so slick. But besides that You cant beat the $. I only stayed a night and it had everything I needed. I recommend it to anyone who isn't looking for perfection but a comfortable/affordable place to stay. Best Motel I have stayed in. And I will be back.

The hotel recently stopped offering breakfast. I missed that on the amenities, so that is my fault. A bit pricey to only offer coffee. There were no blankets in the room. I was already in my pajamas when I didn't find them in the closet. I called down to the desk but nobody answered. Kept the heat/air conditioning off and slept ok, but not great. The morning front desk guy was helpful and friendly, the evening front desk girl was friendly but could not answer our questions. I would consider staying here again if the price were a bit lower, and I would bring my own breakfast food. Fridge in room worked well.

Hotel was in a sketchy part of town and rooms smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. Breakfast ended at 9am even though I was told 9:30 at check-in.

The hotel was located right off the highway and close to the downtown area. My only problem was the temp in my room was 74 and I couldn't turn the heat off. They had no other rooms to move me to. So that sucked. If the maintenance guy hadn't been able to pop the window out I would not have been able to sleep.

The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was good!

I always stay here when travelling. The staff is always very friendly and extremely accommodating! They even let me know that there shift was ending and the name of the person who would be taking over. The rooms are always clean. Ive always just used this as a stopping point in my travel so I've never explored the surrounding areas but it is located RIGHT downtown yet still conveniently off the highway. The breakfast is good too!

I was in Charleston for a class reunion. I guess for the price, I shouldn't complain. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and location was good. However, the hotel could benefit from an overhaul. Hallway carpets were dirty and musty. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Staff was extremely friendly which compensated for the ills. If because of no other choice, perhaps I'd visit another time, but it would not be my first choice

Overall we had a good stay, but we've been to this particular Best Western 4 times over the last few months, and our biggest complaint is poor lighting and not enough electrical outlets. Our last time, there also wasn't enough towels in our room. The staff was very friendly & helpful! Best, Robyn Ambrose

No hot water when taking shower and breakfast was cold. Felt the price too high when these issues are factored in.

The location is good in the heart of the city but the hotel is not as clean as other hotels I've stayed in. I didn't feel completely comfortable here.

Hotel room was nice. Bathroom in hotel room was only okay, seemed dirty. Breakfast was not the best.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel, I feel, is mixed: good, in that it's near Capitol St., where there's good dining and shops. Not so good, as the hotel itself is in an area that hasn't quite made the same urban renaissance. 4-5 blocks to Capitol St. center seemed too dangerous to walk with children at night. Several people on the street loitering without any apparent purpose. Hotel itself is old and past it's prime. Main lobby is through a back door entrance. Not apoealing. Single elevator old and slow, serving 9 floors. 2 towels and 1 shampoo bottle was the bathroom stock in a room for 4. Lots of hotel guests had small dogs...always seemed to share a full elevator with a dog. Pool gate opens to parking lot, not accessible from inside hotel. Two police cars in parking lot, by entrance, during check-out Sunday morning. Uncomfortable environment, but ok to stay secured in your room and, as the flyer in the room suggests, if you do not leave any valuables visible in your car and you don't provide any credit card or personal information to anyone calling your room claiming to be hotel staff. Yes, it said that!

I've been travel across the country this winter. Have to say Best Western never let me down. Affordable price plus nice rooms.

Staff was very Friendly and great help with directions. The rooms are nice and clean and comfortable. I will stay there next time I go to visit my family member. The breakefast was okay and really not bad for the cost of the stay.

The hotel had very Polite staff and clean rooms. Good location and close to local amenities and restaurants.

Good location. Solid breakfast. Convenient for the kids.

Hotel was good and convenient. Parking convenient. Close to museum and not far from restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was great for the family. Kid friendly.
