We were just passing through Charleston and needed a comfortable/affordable place to spend the night. This hotel fills the bill!

Decent hotel. Nothing fancy, walls are paper thin. Very clean, close to Highway. Shopping and restaurants nearby.

The hotel is what one would expect from a 2 star hotel. The only hot item on the continental breakfast was what you could put in the toaster. If you are a train buff, this is a good hotel for you, they run on a track which is adjacent to the hotel.

After a week on the road and a different motel in every city every night, it was a pleasant surprised to check into my room and find lots of floor space, room to move around, to unpack and relax without feeling confined. Clean, modern, and friendly.

We paid $100 a night for a hotel room with one queen bed and nothing else. The breakfast is ok. The room cleanliness is average. I wouldn't recommend it. There are much better values in the Charleston area.

Hotel a little hard to get to but very clean friendly staff and a short drive for dinner.

This place doesn't have a lot of extras but it's good if you just need a place to sleep. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

We travel to St. Albans WV 4-5 times a year and we use Microtel Inn because it's one of the nicer hotels in the area and because it's very close to where we need to go. We usually spend the extra money to get a suite, which is very roomy, has two tv's, and a fridge and microwave, and iron/ironing board. The room itself can sleep 7 people with two window seat/bed mats, a couch, and two queen beds. We've been satisfied overall in the past, but have to say we were a bit disappointed with this visit. We asked for a "smokers" room and had bedding that had cigarette burn holes as well as furniture. The tub wasn't very clean. Sounds trivial, but appearance lends to how comfortable you are with your stay.

Very friendly staff. Quite and clean hallways and rooms. If I need a hotel again in the area I would pick this one.

Any major eating places were 7 miles away. Staff was very helpful though and room was clean. Shower was little to be desired with the bath tub filling up with water half way through it. I would say stay here only if no other place is available or in your price range.

it was clean and safe but not a location to spend a vacation.

We were here just for an overnight stay. We booked through the internet. Things were clean, but the rooms were extremely small. The breakfast was just cold cereal, toast, etc. (Not even a waffle maker.) For the price, we have received much more in motels in the same price range. Questionable neighborhood. Only one luggage cart for the entire motel.

Our stay was very restful. The bed was great and the room was very clean.

Location for our purposes was good. Room noisy the people above us would be up and taking showers at 3 a.m. We could not sleep for hearing their foot step, they were not noisy just nomal walking was very audible. We had no maid service for 2 of the five days we stayted there.

This place was spotless! The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location.

Check in was very fast! Rooms were very clean and had no problems. Shower was very high quality and I would def. recommend a stay there! The location was very convenient, close to University of Charleston!
