This hotel was very dirty. There were stains all over the carpet and the couch. We woke up to ants all over the counter tops and the cabinets too. Could barely get any sleep because there was screaming and yelling all night down the hallway. We had no room service the two days we stayed there so our room wasn’t clean, and we had to go downstairs and ask for towels. We were supposed to get a refund for this awful experience but have yet to see that as promised by the staff. Definitely will not be back here and won’t be recommending this nasty hotel to anyone as this place was disgusting.

good breakfast, first keys didn't work, had to change room

The first thing we noticed upon entering our room were the enormous orange and black splotches all over the carpet, as well as white powder spots. The second thing we noticed were the dirty sheets and pillow cases, with brown and black stains all over. The bathroom was also dirty, with strands of hair and a yellow substance all over. It was something out of a horror movie. Naturally, we requested a room change, which the front desk person thankfully didn't even question. The second room had cleaner carpets, but out of the six pillowcases (this was a double room bed), only ONE didn't have highly visible black streaks or brown stains, and one of the sheets was also very stained. The bathroom this time was in better condition, but the mini fridge hadn't been cleaned out. Horrified, we slept without pillows and fully dressed on a tiny corner of the bed, and left at the crack of dawn the next day. We had been considering extending our trip one or two nights, but the experience left us so disgusted we simply went home. More than anything, we were baffled at the hotel's rating, since to us it is deserving of much less. Spacious rooms and a pool are nice add-ons, but I'd much prefer clean sheets and a clean bathroom, and sleeping without being concerned about what's on the sheets. We've been to other Carlson Suites before, and they were always pleasant enough, but now we will be much more careful when staying at one of these. Certainly do not recommend.

It was a perfect hotel.Very clean, quiet so I really did have time to relax & rest. Very accessible to everything!!! Love this hotel!!!

The pool is indoors which was a plus in such hot weather. The room was large and comfortable, The only problem was a strong sweet smelling deodorizer. Breakfast was only mediocre, They honored a request for early check in. The room was very quiet..

Only 1 bed had a headboard, and the one that did was uncomfortable. Tv set so low on dresser you had to sit up to watch it. They changed the price on me after checkout. Had to check out, I couldn't stay another nite there. Desk staff wouldn't give me another room.

Not a great area. Food thrown in hall ways. Elevator sticky from spilled orange juice. When I told the front desk, owners, they said yes we know. We will get to it. I heard the staff talking about the sticky elevator 1hour before and still no one got a mop and cleaned it up.

Room air conditioner was very loud and functioned poorly. The room had a sour odor of oldness or wet carpet.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved having the fridge and microwave in our room. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was small but the temp in it was great and it was relaxing to go for a swim. I would stay here again.

Everthing about this hotel was Dirty. The carpet was stained and gross. The room smelled bad, due to obvious black mold at the window and ac unit. The bathroom was gross, black mold everywhere. The shower towels where old and dirty, with many stains on the towels, and what was not stain was greying and yellow. The bedding was just as bad as the towels, the white sheets where greying, yellow, and stained. Also the springs in the bed where broken. Free breakfast? With everything being gross in the room, I would eat at your own risk. The surrounding area appears to be a high crime area. There seemed to be high speed car chases going on right outside. Many police car came by with sirens blaring. I would say this hotel is just slightly better than a roach motel.

We had stayed at a different country inn and suites and that was the reason we picked this hotel because the other one was so nice. This one didn't have hardly any options at breakfast. My husband can't have sausage it gives him heartburn and the only thing they had was biscuits and sausage gravy so he wasn't happy with that. The pillows weren't comfortable, they squished down so that it felt like you weren't even on one. The pool is TINY and no hot tub. It had a very good location for us though. Overall it wasn't bad just a few things we weren't happy with.

Room temperature uncomfortable and not consistent. Night table light did not work. Room smelled unpleasant . Heard elevator all night as well as guest talking very poor nights sleep.

I was surprised by the size service and amenities!

My husband and I have stayed at this location twice. First time was on our first trip together and afterwards as married couple. We both love the place. It is nice and pleasant and the breakfast is a plus. It a bit of a drive after you have been on a night on the town but its still nice. Its a bit confusing how to get the hotel at first but then its all a breeze. I would recommend to anyone.

The rooms was good, staff was willing to help. breakfast time the staff was on it. they made sure everything stayed clean and stocked with food. a simple breakfast but filing. the bathroom look liked i needed some work, wear and tear. paint was coming off the wall next to the tub, and carpet was a bit sticky in one area but all in all was fine. was next to a mall and man restaurants. Pool was tiny, so watch out. we were a bit bummed but it was indoor and it had been raining that day.

You get what you pay for and we did not pay much. I guess it is what you expect for $88 a night. However, the latenight check-in person was rude, our bathroom was dirty, and the breakfast was pretty horrible.

GIRLS LOVED IT. ENJOYED THE POOL MOST OF ALL. BREAKFAST WA GOOD BUT VERY CROWDED.

We were greeted by a very friendly Front Desk. Checked in quickly. A nice room but no special view from the window. The hotel was very convienent to the Interstate so we could get to downtown easily. We could not hear traffic noise from our room. The Northwoods Mall was walking close. A nice breakfast with waffles and eggs. We would have liked bacon but not a big deal.

My family and I stayed at this hotel. The night guy was a little weird but generally all the staff were really nice. I liked their waffle station and breakfast spread. The room was comfortable and convenient to the airport.

Mini Suite is not the right description for the room I was given. Reserved and mini-suite with a roll away bed for 3 adults. Room was a motel room with 2 beds. Front desk said we would need to rearrange the furniture to get a roll away bed into the room. Bathroom fan did not work, shower was poor, very old and dated. Booked Marriott the next night for $5 more per night and it was great.
