The hotel has a great location if you're going to know London. It is located within a walking distance from de main attractions in the city, and near to the theatres, stores and pubs. The staff was great and really kind with us, very helpful.

Everything was great except the location is very central and loud noises outside can still be heard until late night around 3-4am.

We were upgraded immediately when we checked in! Julie was so pleasant with us and took care of our every need! We would definitely stay here again as we were so close to everything we needed to see!

great location to say the least. very clean, well cared for facility. staff was inviting and pleasant. Convenient to many of the key attractions of this city.

Great location, clean room, good breakfast. Very friendly staff

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very good and we were able to walk to most of the site that we wanted to see.

The check in process was easy. The staff was very friendly. I had an executive room with two twin beds. It was so small we couldn't even unpack or clothes. I called to see if there was a larger room and they said that was already the larger upgraded room. So if you're staying with a spouse or loved one, you may be fine with the small space. The bathroom had heated floors, and they had free bottles of water which is very nice to see a hotel not try to rip you off once you get inside. location is great for walking to Covent Garden.

Great central location for London. Close to everything.

Our first time traveling to London and with our son who is 1.5 yr old. And the staff was so accommodating, they upgraded us to a junior suite with the baby and it really helped. The breakfast in the morning was so good and the free mini bar along with the afternoon happy hour was so nice to have when taking a break from all day sight seeing during the day. They even gave us a to-go breakfast bag for the morning we had to leave for the airport at 5:30am with plenty of food and fruit for us. The restaurant upstairs and bar was great too, we also booked a afternoon tea with them and the food was so good and cheaper than the other fancy hotel afternoon teas, and plenty of food and desert with the tea. The staff was so excellent and the location was central, right next to 2 tube stops of embarkment and Charing cross. We actually walked to everywhere (Buckingham palace, Picadilly Circus, Leister square, and covent garden, all 15 min away). Even though it is a very busy location, the room was very sound proof, we were on the second floor facing the street and had very good sleep. Beds were excellent with excellent linen, with Nespresso in the room and the bathroom had a tub and a shower. They also had great wifi and USB cord charger docks too. Overall, excellent staff, service, food, room, location, and modern rooms. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Amba is located near many tourist attractions. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and the hire it's self was extremely nice.

Wonderful stay with outstanding location, centrally located and a walking distance to just about everything! The underground subway system is right outside the front door! Breakfast was first rate, located in the most beautiful grand room imaginable!!

This hotel is about service! Beautiful property and great location but makes it is the people. I travel a great deal and highly recommned you stay here!

We booked executive king with bkfst and amba lounge privileges. the staff was never too busy to help, smile, and seemed always to genuinely be focused on our comfort and satisfaction. when we were disturbed by the noise of street music, they all immediately leapt to action offering to move us etc., (the law is it stops by 11, and it does, so it was a non problem after all), and even sent us champagne and fruit to the room to ease the pain! The hotel combines old world style and architecture with up to date renovated amenities. Nespresso, full complimentary snacks every day replenished IN ROOM and the Amba Lounge offers comp treats and drinks at breakfast and afternoon. Would stay again in a minute.

Very friendly people. Close to major sides attractive to tourists close to underground

The Amba Charing Cross is a delightful place, with wonderful staff. They clearly enjoy working with guests and have a positive, genuinely cheerful attitude. They strive to ensure your visit is the best. The location is terrific, close to theaters, food, and shopping. The rooms are large and well furnished.

Great hotel and staff and fantastic location. 2 underground stations on the block and short walk to National Gallery (which shocked me with free entrance)! Walk to lots of shops and restaurants and Covent Garden. Hop-on/off bus stop right at Natuonal Gallery will take you everywhere else you'll want to go. We were only there 3 days and we saw SO much. Great trip! Rooms were spacious with the $40/day upgrade we accepted at check-in which also included breakfast and lounge access. Mini-bar in room is complimentary which was appreciated. Only constructive feedback was service in the lounge was very awkward. Better when nobody was there and you were able to self-serve. They were also relentless about closing it at 7pm. Got there both nights right at 7pm wanting to grab a glass of wine and no-go!

The staff were very helpful. The room was nice, quiet and had a comfortable bed. The room was lacking a shoe shine cloth. Also, though there was a desk lamp, I could not figure out how to turn it on. The light switches were also very confusing. Many switches did not turn anything on, so it was inconvenient to know with switch did what. As for the location, I cannot comment. Except there were several homeless people outside and in the adjacent train station.

Fantastic, kind staff. Great location, across National Gallery. Beautiful refurbished building. Spacious rooms with nice views. Outstanding, and good value for London.

Right next to historic Charing Cross, the Amba shares the structure with the Charing Cross train station. There's a Tube Stop within easy walking distance. Trafalgar Square is just over a block away, and Westminster/Parliament/Big Ben is an easy 10 minute walk. The hotel itself is excellent, very nicely decorated, and has a great staff. There's a very nice restaurant and bar, as well as a gym. Our only real complaint, don't flush the toilet when someone is in the shower. It was a scalding surprise. Not what I expected for the amount of money this room cost. I know that seems small, but not when you're the one in the shower. Word to the wise. Would we stay at the Amba again...definitely.

We had a great experience at the Amba. The location is right off Trifalger Square, convenient to rail, metro, cabs, and busses. Plenty of night life, pubs, shows, shops, all within a short walk. Staff falls all over you, they can't do enough. Great local for business or pleasure.
