Super 8 - Rantoul

Super 8 in Rantoul fit my budget, location and was just right for what I needed.

My room was spotless and smelled clean. The lobby and hallways smelled of tobacco. I feared the worst as I walked in the hotel. But in my room everything was fine. A bit pricey for a shoebox motel, but football weekends in Champaign will do that to the local room rates I guess. But as long as my room is clean I'm happy.

Went out of state to visit my new granddaughter and this was a good place to stay. Friendly staff, clean room...even in the midst of renovations!

This was my first stay at a Super 8. The night staff was a shorter young girl who was welcoming. The morning staff was a tall older woman who was not welcoming at all. The rooms were clean but dated. The breakfast was minimal but everything was well stocked. This place is good for a one night stay. Walmart is conveniently across the street and the place is right off of the highway.

This hotel is sub par-needs - more care even if very economical

Terrible staff, not helpful at all, room was dirty and placed right outside the Burger King drive-thru

My daughter was traveling through on a stormy night on her way home from school and needed a place nearby and this was it!

We just needed a hotel for the one night that was close to Champaign and cheap. This hotel was fine other than we booked a smoking room by mistake. Make sure to check your room type. At this hotel you get what you pay for. Clean but nothing special and cheap bed, more of a place to just rest your head.

We were staying for Mom's weekend at University of Illinois. The price was cheap so I wasn't expecting a lot and that was what I got. One of the pillows was a pancake, the bed was okay, we had to stand at the front desk for a while (about 10 min) to check in because no one was around and the blanket on the bed had spots on it that were "hard" - meaning it was not clean...

The hotel was fine.

attended daughter's graduation at uiuc-- unable to get anything closer - booked this 6 months prior--very courteous staff-- very outgoing---clean rooms --needed to sleep and left early in the morning -- served our purpose-- breakfast was a plus!!! coffee and internet in lobby also nice![...] had 2 pm checkin on form -- hotel said 3 pm -- minor glitch which they accomodated for!

The room was clean every thing worked in the room. The internet service was great. The staff were very friendly and knew the area well. Will stay again in the furture.

We went through your search engine and reserved a non smoking room a lot of days in advance. When we got there they said all the non smoking rooms were gone and they only had a smoking room left. We thought when we reserved the room through your website that we got a non smoking room as it says on the printout. They said that was only a request and that there were no more non smoking rooms. Being as my wife is allergic to smoke we went through hell. [...]

Clean, comfortable, and I was able to see corn out the window in the morning. Nice stay in "the country".

The Super 8 Motel room was good size with a desk area and a table and two chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink outside the toilet area. There was a space for hanging clothes and they provided a suitcase stand. It had a refrig that I used and liked. Also TV which I left on until 3 PM so no more bugs would come to bite me.I had a no smoking room that didn't seem of smoke. I did want a room close to my friends that were staying there and that could not be done. I moved a chair from the window area, as I was sitting on it talking to a friend on my cell phone between the two beds I felt something crawling on my right wrist that was resting on the arm of the chair close to the bed as I pulled my arm to my view I was bit my either a reddish spider or some red bug it might have fallen into my sleeve because I couldn't find the biter. Before I went to bed I saw a small brown/grey spider crawling up into my bag. Then I found a spider web under the window with its web down to the bottom of the vent system containing another small spider but they were not the reddish color of the insect that bit me. When I awoke my right elbow was slightly swollen ,redden and in severe pain. Either bit again on the elbow with a poision reaction or allergic reaction or reaction from the wrist bite. I don't plan to stay there again. The girl @ the desk gave me a report to file and said they do spray rooms frequently. I suffered from the bite for a week before the pain was completely gone. My son is at U of Illinois C/Urbana I plan to stay closer next time.

Simple, clean, and nice in a safe neighborhood That's all one can ask for out of a Super8 and the Rantoul property delivered.

The desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Pleasant at all times. The location is perfect, room accomodations, refrig, wireless, etc make the stay business and family friendly. Close to shopping, restaurants and gas stations for convenient one stop shopping!

I was pleased with this hotel mainly because, even though it is not large, the rooms have a refrigerator and micro wave for the customer's convenience. The location is perfect for me because not only is it near the highway that I travel, but it's near restaurants, gas stations and a Walmart! I will definitely stay there again when I'm in Rantoul.
