I'll start of by saying that the place was clean and inviting and I got a good night's rest, and this is the reason why I am not giving it a 1 star. I had 2 large issues with my stay. The first one being that I was over charged. I booked with hotels.com and they had a fee listed as a deposit, when i saw that my deposit was not refunded after my stay I called the owner from the number on my credit card statement after my email and text was not returned. The owner blamed Hotels.com for incorrectly listing the fee as a deposit. The second issue I had was the the room was falsely advertised as having an operational hot tubs. The reason for my stay was for a fitness event and one of the primary reason why I chose this room was for the hot tub I wanted to relax in after the event. I contacted the owner during my stay there, no response. After my stay I called the owner to discuss both issues. I explained I wanted some compensation for the false ad. They went on to explain that the hot tubs are only used during winter months. I explained the ad did not state that, the owner then blamed Hotels.com for not adding the disclosure. I received no compensation from the owner.
We went the weekend of March 22 thru the 24 for skiing and the the Vermont brewers festival! Mountain Green resort is in the perfect location with shuttles running every 15 mins to the base. We stayed in building 3 which was great because of the assigned parking in the garage and it’s where the pub, ski shop, arcade, pool and spa area are. Great views of the mountain also come along with building 3. Can’t wait to return!
Beware!! We had booked our ski trip for President's week at Mountain Green Resort, Vermont via TripAdvisor and had to pre-pay for the entire trip at the time of reservation. But when we called the resort to confirm our reservation one day before heading over, we were told that there was no reservation under our name and that the room we had reserved was already occupied by another family for the entire week. It was such a mess. We will not book our vacations through TripAdvisor again!
If you are not picky this is the place for you. This is not a resort type of ambiance. It more air B and B type. We loved it. Many amenities available and plenty of restaurants near by. You can also use the shuttle that picks you up and drops you off from and to the many of the restaurants and ski lifts.
We spent 4 days at Kevin's apartment (unit 1F9) in Mountain Green Resort. First, I am not sure if I would call it a resort. Mountain Green is made of several apartment buildings and a main building where you will find a heated pool, hot tubs, gym, ski shop, some arcades and a restaurant. That's why I believe it doesn't fit into the standard definition for a resort. Besides that and the fact that the hallways look a little bit dated the place is really awesome. Kevin’s apartment was really good. It was clean, tidy and full of treats we did not expected. We found a welcome basket on the dining room table with pasta, sauce, pancakes, syrup, Vermont made jelly, cookies, pop corn and candies. He also left instructions for everything so that you don’t waste your time trying to figure out anything at all. Instructions on how to use the fireplace, the TV, dishwasher, directions to the main local attractions and important phone numbers. If that’s not enough you can contact them by email or by phone. They thought about everything to make your stay very pleasant. One important detail for snow sports fanatics: Mountain Green is next to Killington’s Snow Shed (literally). If you are a snowboard or ski fan this is as good as it gets.
We stayed for the weekend. The rooms are spacious but run down . Old refrigerator, tube tv . The rooms weren’t cleaned too well. My daughter had open the curtains and we found nine dead flies on the window. See photo, believe me this is not all of them. I really wonder how long it has not been cleaned. I did call management, who called back to send cleaners. They did come to pick up the flies while we were out. The bright side is the fireplace works. You have to watch out where you stay, it really depends on which management you get. This was really bad condition and I was paying 300 plus. This particular place was managed by Get away vacations.
Had the pleasure of staying in unit 3C11. It had a huge smart tv hanging above the fireplace. The place looked newly renovated. There was a new stainless steel refrigerator with an ice maker. Had all the comfort items I needed to do some light cooking. The bathroom was clean and the sink and vanity looked brand new. The bedroom had two queen beds and was tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The was a flat screen mounted to the wall. Had two big closets to hang all my clothes. Love the flooring in the living room and bathroom. When it was tome to sit outside there were two nice chairs with cup holders. Nice view from the deck. There was metal door to enter and it cut all the noise from the outside. There is a keyless lock that made entering and exiting easy If you want a great one bedroom this is the one 3C11
We traveled to Killington for four days/ three nights and wanted a place that was convenient to the mountain and other activities while we were there. We ended up parking the car and not moving it until check out time! You can tell the property is a bit dated but our condo was in great shape. The hallway carpet is a bit old, etc. The buildings are located just across the large parking lot at Killington. We had planned on walking across but the owner suggested the shuttle was better and that ended up being the case. It's about a 2 minute ride across and you avoid the traffic and walking in your ski boots. The main building has a pub/ restaurant, pool/ workout facility and ski rental place. The rental place was much cheaper than the one next to the lifts. One recommendation would be to rent your skis the evening before to avoid the morning rush where the staff can't help but be a bit overwhelmed. The complex also has ski lockers which is nice to not have to drag your equipment up the stairs (we were on one of the top floors). All in all we would/ will book again.
Older building. Could use some upgrades but decent overall. Close enough to walk to the lifts although there is a free shuttle. Restaurant on site is a little dated and not very busy but is perfect for Apres Ski beverages. Pool, hot tub and steam room on site - all clean and comfortable. We rented a one bedroom condo through air Bnb (building 3, e11). Lots of space in this unit. Much larger than others we have stayed at in this resort in the past. Room is clean and well kept, although a little dated. Kitchen has all the basics that one one need - only missing a muffin tray and cookie sheet. Ski shop on site offers a mix of everything ski related and also does tuning. Small deli on site for snacks. Overall I would recommend this location for anyone planning a ski trip to killington in a resort condo.
Stayed at a studio condo in this complex via Homeaway. Owner was very kind and helpful and made the stay easy. Seems like a lot of these condos get rented regularly. Wasn't the nicest, but had most amenities - indoor pool, outdoor pool (was under construction while we were there), gym equipment. Was super close to the mountain - shuttle service takes you right there. Overall, great, affordable stay!
