It's ok nothing special ............. .......................…………

I am thoroughly disappointed with this hotel. . hotel description on ORBITZ makes NO mention of the fact that there is music BLARING pool side all day. And in to the night. Come on! WORST EXPERIENCE IN AN ORBITZ HOTEL IN YEARS OF BOOKING. Horrid horrid horrid. Instead of enjoying a relaxing day by the Sea of Cortez I've stayed in my room most of the day watching movies on my iPad in an effort to escape the noise. Thoroughly disappointed. NO BALCONY EITHER! At check in they put me on third floor in a room WITHOUT a balcony. I complained, they moved me to the first floor where there IS a balcony and they tried to charge me more money for the privilege. I refused of course. I PRESUMED that the music would stop by sunset so may be I could enjoy the balcony at night. Wrong. Music was blaring past 10pm. Room was well used, rundown but clean. Bed comfortable enough. Staff was friendly (apologetic about the music but didn’t do anything to change it!), and buffet breakfast was pretty good. The previous night I was at the hotel just up the beach (The Sea of Cortez Beach Club). I am going back there tonight. Avoid this place like the plague unless you want party central or unless you take ear plugs. Sea of Cortez Beach club is far far far far FAR superior. Orbitz tag line “TAKE VACATION BACK” ! Give me my money back. Not your fault but you should vet your hotels better!

Someone charged 2000 pesos to my room that I did not authorize and there was no option to debate it. I had to pay it. I hope I never have to do business there again. I usually stay at another hotel down the street and will plan to return there.

The check in wasn't great and the rooms could be more clean

It provided happiness to all the members of my family young and old. Many, many memories to remember. Friendly and knowledgeble staff. Will definitely stay there and do it all over again soon.

We liked the place very much clean , quiet, nice people around

Nice Hotel, average beach. Bar by the pool was closed all the time we were there But, restaurant food was pretty good. Hotel is away from the restaurants. You need a car to go anywhere, so do not come without. Fairly good deal for the money.

Too noisy, buffet not bad but no where near as good as some of the local restaurants. Love San Carlos but I won't stay here again.

Nice friendly staff, hotel was right in front of ocean, restaurant was nice and clean. Will defenitly stay here again!

Too many rules concerning alcoholic drinks and food. The pool had no water.

facilities ugly, very bad service at reception, there was a water leak inside the room, the uncomfortable beds, bath tub covered by sand.

Nice hotel! very good services. nice people. My kids love the little pool.

I pay for a superior room with a sofa and 2 bed king size but I did not have it. 1 hour to check in, the room was not clean and not ready at 3 pm, the water on the swimming pool was not clean, there was a lot of noise, the toilet on the room was broken ........ I really do not recommand this hotel......

Excellent. Beach availibility , clean pool area. StaFf make you very welcome to be there! Ocean veiw room very romance! Will me & wife a lot at San Carlos Plaze Hotel !!!!

The Good: Hotel location is Excellent, service is good, rooms are clean and neat. The Bad: if there's an event going on let's said outside in the Palapa they close the service to everyone and you have to go inside for service. The Really ugly: where can I start with this one, food prices too high (for the price of 2 you can dine out at Chili's or Applebee's and will be for 4), you can't bring in coolers or drinks just a small water, they don't allowed outside food.

I did not travel with a child, but I have 7 children and 9 grand-children and they would have LOVED this place. There were many families and the kids were very happy. This hotel is lovely, the staff are well spoken in English, and the rooms are clean. Many clients have obviously put wet swimsuits and towels on top of all of the furniture and over the wood slatted closet doors. Paint is beginning to peel and surfaces of the wood furniture are beginning to bubble and some have popped. They need to channel some of their income into maintenance or it will slowly lose its luster. The beds are the hardest I have EVER had. For me, this was good due to a bad back but might be a problem for others. The interior court with indoor rock waterfalls, etc. is wonderful. Copper chargers for your plates in the restaurant. They began with a lot of $. I was there for only one night on business so never saw the pool or jacuzzi, BUT it is one of the few hotels that I have seen in Mexico with tubs in all of the rooms and I LOVED my bath. The blackout curtains were the best I have ever seen. I needed them the following morning due to the late night band keeping me up, lol. It was a Sat. night.

Just OK!

hard and unconfortable beds, bad service, bad hotel maintenance.

Due to the Season (March 14, 2010) the Spa was closed. The Gym is out of date and equipment is rusty. The Jacuzzi doesn't work and was used by kiddies as a kiddie pool. Our door wouldn't lock, but when discovered (by someone walking into our room by accident) the staff immediately fixed it. The beds were hard as planks of plywood. All Rooms are spacious and within a few hundred feet of the beach. multiple restaurants on site. Helpful staff. Given everything, the price of the room was amazing.

I stayed on January 26 to 29 january, 2010. I was on bussines trip and since I know the beach is nice, I prefered to chose this one. But I had bad experience:1) my room, due the season, there was no air conditioned. For me, it was hot.2) When they did my bed, the sheet was loose, it was not a box sheet, just flat and did not fit it. Old bed cloths, and not "white" towels that we expect on a 5 star hotel.3) they did not provide with a new shampoo everyday. 4) there is no iron and table to ironing. I had to asked for one. Which was very dirty.(surface)5) they brought me expired catsup with my sandwich (it said 06/07 ) and I report it and next day again the same. Hopefully I did not get sick6) there is no clock in the room7) as the weather outside is cool now, I did not had opportuinity to go to the beach or pool, but nobody was there either.8) the check out was a mass.. they did not have all the information available and I could not get an invoce for my report expenses. The only good thing was the shuttle from hermosillo airport to the hotel, and the driver guy [...].This is like a 3.3 maybe 4 stars according to the categories in Mexico.. no more.. a nice hotel, is not only a building. [...] in reality, this hotel does not value more than what I pay for it. 62 usd per day. The current rates I saw directly with the hotel were over 170 usd.
